Records Compact Outlook Express popup message

About Outlook Express message appears continuously want to compact files. I did it, but he continues to appear every few seconds. How can this be stopped?

Here is my first answer canned. If not either of these programs, see if something else here fits. It is usually Windows Serch, that's why I jumped right to it.

The problem is with the registry counter which gives you the prompt after 100 closures of OE. It is increased faster than it should be, and even if you do not OE.

There are a growing number of programs and actions that can cause after installing SP3. You have following situations?

Keyboard IBM rapid access (pilot) RAKDLL. DLL
Search Windows {office}
MailWasher
Nero-plug-in (s)

Opening of EML files while OE is closed will also help the County to register.

Different antivirus, antispyware, and third-party firewall, especially if they were running when you installed SP3.

Archived discussion discuss this issue in June 2008:

In the case of Windows Search, (the offender #1), you must be told to stop indexing OE.

In the control panel. Indexing Options. Change. Clear the check box for Outlook Express.

In the case of Nero Scout, see point 2.3 page 8 here.
FTP://ftp6.Nero.com/user_guides/Nero8/Scout/NeroScout_Enu.PDF

In the option to exclude indexing of selected file types, remember to add these file types:

.eml, .dbx & .nws

Compacted Outlook Express and save some of my emails.  Now, I need access to the following, but can not open them.  How to reopen these emails?

    Hi Redtiger1705,

Lost emails immediately after compact preforming?
If so, Outlook Express creates BAK files before compaction. They are copied there as a precaution, in case something goes wrong with the compaction. The following steps should help those rear:

    1) open Outlook Express and go to tools, Options, maintenance, store folder. Copy the entire path to the storage folder, and then click OK.  Close Outlook Express.

    (2) go to the basket and search for all files with the .bak extension.  Restore the most recent .bak files. That he will put in the OE store folder, but still like a BAK file.

    (3) click on start, run and paste the path that you copied in step 1 in the run box, and then press ENTER.

    4) click Tools, Folder Options. In the Folder Options window, click the view tab.
    (5) less advanced, uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types".
    (6) you should see the two sent a Sent Items.dbx from the file as well as the Items.bak. Rename the Sent Items.DBX to Sentold.dbx and Rename Items.Bak sent to Sent Items.DBX. When you open OE, your messages sent items must be restored.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!

  • Troubleshooting Outlook Express error message - error number: 0x800C0133

I NEED HELP to SOLVE A PROBLEM WITH OUTLOOK EXPRESS - cannot GET RID OF THE ERROR MESSAGE AFTER TRYING all THE SOLUTIONS LIST AND EVEN EMPTY THE Inbox EMPTY. Help, please!

USING OUTLOOK EXPRESS 8.0 WITH WINDOWS XP, I CAN'T RECEIVE MAIL IN MY INBOX ALTHOUGH IT SHOWS A NUMBER OF MESSAGES RECEIVED. I GET THIS ERROR MESSAGE:
An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'Hotmail', server: 'pop3.live.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, secure (SSL): Yes, error number: 0x800C0133

    Error number: 0x800C0133 = a corrupt Inbox.

Move any message you want to save to a local folder that you create. Then, remove the problem of Inbox as follows.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the box of Inbox.dbx and delete it. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • Outlook Express Inbox messages or files are missing.

Yesterday morning, Monday, January 24 when I open my browser to surf on Outlook Express, I discovered that all my messages in Inbox and / pr files are missing. I was given the opportunity to click on in order to replace the most recent data in the box to pop up on the screen: compact down, it seems like. Thinking that assistance, I innocently click on 'Yes', this is the result: all incoming the previiousd and this letter is as gone with the wind (disappeared).

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
    http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact

    Why mail disappears:
    http://www.insideoe.com/problems/bugs.htm#mailgone

    About file Corruption:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/IE/community/columns/filecorruption.mspx

    Recovery methods:

If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
    http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspx

    And see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

    And backup often.

  • Outlook Express 6: "Message was deleted without being read? (2)

(Note: I posted this above subject in the Internet Explorer 8 Forum forgetting that Outlook is a desktop application.)  Apologies!)

    Hello;

    1) I recently received the following response to a serious investigation (Outlook Express 6):
    ... "Your message
    ........ To: ****
    ........ Topic: laptop... Sales
    ........ Sent: Fri, * Mar 2011 *.
.... was deleted without being read on "Lun, *"

    2) I don't know how we could generate this message!
If the recipient received the e-mail and read it and "didn't like it" or decided "not to answer', or the message was just displayed on the monitor and the recipient has not actually read the entire message and remove it, can it still send an auto-reply saying:
"... your message was deleted without being read?
It makes no sense! or does?

    3) however, if I add the email address of the sender to the "blocked senders" list, I continue to receive e-mails, but that they would go directly to the folder "deleted items", I can still read if I want, or delete them permanently from the system.
The sender blocked in this case (any) would receive an automatic response: "... your message was deleted without being read?
I have no way of knowing!

    Could someone please clarify?

    Thank you kindly.
    Monir

Then again for the third time:

If you have sent a message to someone with a program bouncing what they consider spam, you can get a response like that.

MailWasher has capabilities of rebound, but I don't know if it's their message or someone else. It is certainly not from OE.

  • "Problems with Outlook Express" the message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address.

On outlook express, I get the following error message "the message could not sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. How can I eliminate this problem, please?

I can find no trace messages claim are waiting for shipment.

Unsent Mail file, do you mean the Outbox? Check: File | Work offline and in: reviews | Layout: uncheck the preview pane and delete the messages. Otherwise, delete the Outbox.dbx file in the message store.

  • Outlook Express error message pending: 550

I made a mistake in an email address when you use outlook express 6.  If the email is waiting and I get this error message - how to delete unsent email so my email will download?

The message cannot be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was * address email is removed from the privacy *'. Topic 'Kelly Archer', account: ' pop - server.carolina.rr.com', server: ' smtp - server.carolina.rr.com', Protocol: SMTP, server response: 550 invalid recipient: <*** email="" address="" is="" removed="" for="" privacy="" ***="">', Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 550, error number: 0x800CCC79

Click on the Outbox in the folders list, click the incorrect message and delete it.

  • Export Outlook Express of messages does not

I try to export my email from Outlook Express 6 (6.00.2900.5512) on Win XP.  I choose File/Export/Messages and go as far as the message "this will export messages from Outlook Express to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange." When I choose "OK", the message disappears and nothing else happens. The Group of experts to choose the type of output does NOT appear. Is there any solution for this?  I'm trying to migrate to a new machine of Windows 8.

    You are the very welcome.

  • Outlook express 6 messages bouncing Windows xp

I use my email account Outlook Express 6 for a single computer.  Lately all my incoming messages have bounced because of the overload of the byte in the Inbox.  I deleted all of the messages in my Inbox so that sent, deleted, ect.  I don't know how to check to see if the messages are stored on the server.

These two problems have been resolved.  It seems that my use of the e-mail was outdated and some clean cleaned executed progam the MyWebBar problem.

Now, if I can get MSE to work properly

It is not OE Inbox, the Inbox of your server is.

Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - uncheck: leave a copy of messages on the server.
Close and open OE and if you still get the error message, log on to your e-mail server Webmail site and empty the Inbox here.
  • Outlook Express error message "unable to delete the message.

I try to delete messages in Outlook Express 6 and I get the error message "Unable to delete Message" I tried to select all Messages, no response...

    I'm glad you had success.

  • Newbie question: outlook express deletes messages from my hotmail account?

I have several acouts hotmail.  I want to start using Outlook Express (or Eudora or other) as my email on my PC client but want full access to my emails on remote PCs via Explorer.  Outlook Express will download all the messages in my Inbox in?  Will he disappear from my hotmail account?  Or is he just leave my only hotmail accounts?

You can access your Hotmail mailbox by using a POP account in Outlook Express and, Yes, unless you configure the account to leave messages on the server, it will remove them from the Inbox when it downloads, as well as all appropriate POP clients.  Simply set up the account in order to leave them on the server.  It will be on the Advanced tab of the account properties.  See this: http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=99d4b13d-13db-40d8-9cdf-172002d4194c

Also, remember that access to a POP mailbox has no notion of folders.  Only what is in the Inbox will be visible to any client POP, whatever you use.

  • deleting outlook express 'send message '.

I tried to send too many photos (apparently) by e-mail using outlook express.  The server is still sending them 36 hours later.  I now cannot send or receive e-mails, because the 'send message' green category shows that he is trying to send pictures.  How can I delete the whole process of sending these photos and get email working again?   Restore system to previous date did not work.

Can cause software conflicts (especially the virus scanners)
Restoration of the system to fail. The best would be to make the system
    Restore in safe mode.
