Records of user in Windows 7
The folder 'Users' of Windows 7 doesn't like his name and sometimes it changes. Right now, his name is 'Documents and Settings '. He could have other names that I don't remember. I don't want to update Windows 10 until this issue is resolved.

@=""It seems that I managed to solve the problem on my own. Did two things:
1 set the registry keys determine programs associated objects 'Répertoire', 'Drive' and 'File' to the default values by using the settings found here: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\2. If you want to have permissions for group 'Users' to read all these keys in the registry. For some reason any access worked only partly for standard users.
Not sure who finally solved this problem, but after I had finished 1. and 2. for the purpose of 'Record', by clicking on 'My computer' and any folder works normally for all users of the computer.
I suspect that some recent installation of program which adds actions associated with these objects messed up the registry. Suspects are Norton Antivirus and dbPowerAmp.

Section user and Windows Update section of the computer in Windows 8 setting is missing.

I already tried Microsoft scanner security, sfc/scannow, auto repair and record using a hidden administrator account.
My power plan option page is also absent and when tried to open the parameter, "unable to open the access control editor. the activation requires the display name to stand under the CLSID key. There is probably a function of sdk win32, that you can call from the dll adapter which could do. I think SHGetFolderPath() has the functionality you're looking for. Search the Web site of microsoft developer network for more details on this feature.

I've attached a scan to an email, but it says "could not open the file C:\users\My Windows\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows |" Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\TQDLSO1A\etc, etc.
I'm probably not explaining my problem fairly - well, I scanned something in - I used Nuance Paperport. I have it attached to an email and sent to six people - including myself. I always open the attached file to make sure that the computer has sent the right thing. When I tried to open the attachment I got the message "cannot open the file - I have already sent you." I think that Norton Security got rid of the file I need. I think I will contact them. I tried to contact Nuance - but alas, my warranty has expired, so no help there unless I want to pay for it. If I can't have the problem solved through Norton, I will contact you again. Thank you very much for taking the time to try to help me. Have a great Thanksgiving action!
