  Yesterday, I tried to uninstall the Softonic toolbar, but he dragged all my programs with it, including Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.0.

  I managed to recover most of the files (including the .msi file) via Recuva, but I must be missing something, cos it doesn't work or the .msi file.

• Windows 7 used product key sticker

  The product key of Windows 7 on the sticker attached to the bottom of my laptop is worn and not readable.  The HARD drive crashed and I need to install a new one.  I can't boot from the existing HARD drive - but I can retrieve files from the disk using Recuva.  Is there a way I can get the product from a file recovered key?  Can I use the HP model and serial number to find the key to OEM product somewhere?  I'll need when I install the new drive.

  Unfortunately there is no way to get a replacement product key or to retrieve the key from the HARD disk.

  Even if you could, you wouldn't be able to use to activate the windows installation.

  Your only option short of buying a new operating system to full version (OEM or retail) is to order a recovery disc for your PC game, if they are still available.

  AFAIK, a product key is not required when you use the HP factory recovery disks.  I've never had to enter a product key when using them.

  I lost my serial key for my Windows 7, which is instaled on my laptop. I bought the laptop from a retailer authorized with the original copy of Windows 7 (my Windows is activated).   Have you checked the bottom of the laptop or the battery for the key box.  You should also have a "recovery Partition", launched once requires a key.

  How access/start the recovery process is for the factory listed below.

  Acer: Press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

  ASUS: Press or press the F9 key as soon as you see the Asus logo.

  Dell: Press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

  EMachines: hold the Alt key and hold press and release the key F10

  HP: Press F11 directly after switching on the device

  Samsung: Press the F4 key to the Samsung logo when you turn first.

  Toshiba: Press and hold the "0" BEFORE and during the power upward.

  If you order free-dos system, you should be able to access a key recovery by pressing the recover key.

  I have no idea where it is on the s400 systems but you can take just to consult the manual for it.
