Recovery disc creator is not installed on the Satellite A305

It turns out that this laptop (Satellite A305) doesn't have the included Recovery Disc Creator! ...

There is none
Start - Programs - recovery Disk Creator.
Neither
"C:\Program Toshiba Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator\."
Neither
"TRDCLcher.exe" anywhere on the hard drive (including the hodden records)

I do not delete anything, I was fully aware of the importance of the creation of a RD
There is only a 'applications and drivers disc creator' which, in itself, is no way to restore the system.
Turn on/off the system with 0 doe hurry not bring the wizard of recovery of HARD drive either, just a series of beeps.

The so-called official support said that they could not sell me any media that Toshiba only gives to clients directly (tat how´s for nonsense!)

Ironic that it would be easier to get Linux or a bootleg copy than to take the "supported" path...) -[

Hello

Your laptop belongs to the Toshiba series us and that's why I put t exactly know how it works on this laptop, but on the European of Toshiba laptop, you might find the Toshiba disc creator software that allows you to create a Toshiba Recovery disk.

I put t understand why ASP you called t couldn't sell you a recovery disk. I think that you asked someone who didn t know that.

Usually the ASP should be able to provide such discs. So either you can call Toshiba USA or ASP and ask again this recovery disk.

Good bye

  • Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator does not work on my Satellite P300

    Hello

I need to make my drive recovery for my Satellite P300 (PSPCCA-05V01Y), but the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator does not work, as it is said that it is not a file on the pc HARD drive recovery.
I tried before, and he had a problem with the core files, saying he was corrupt.
So I was wondering if there is in any case I can download the installation of HARD drive recovery so that I can install and put it back to "factory condition" and reburn the recovery disk?
    Cheers for any help
    Mikey

    Hello Mikey

The situation is quite complicated. When you've got your laptop recovery files was recorded on the second partition in folder HDDRecovery. The second partition and backup files should not be modified.

If you did something with the second partition or this file recovery Toshiba creator cannot find these files and the recovery media cannot be created. This will work with the factory only settings. but I see another problem there.
Theoretically, you can now install new OS using the installation procedure of recovery HARD drive and with factory State, you should be able to create DVDs, but if the Toshiba Recovery creator can not find the files I'm afraid that the installation of HARD drive recovery can have the same problem.

If you want you can test. Try to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.

  • Re: Recovery disc creator does not work on the Qosmio F50

    Hello

I recently got my new laptop Qosmio F50. I decided to burn the recovery disk and so I did. But during the burning process, I got an error that is:

"Diference were detected between different folders:

    Source path: (origin)
    F:\HDDRecovery\SWImg\06907XPS.swm

Target path: (I would translate as destination)
    G:\06907XPS.swm
    (error code: 02016F-3 c-00000000)

Well, I've been through the posts from diferent on this forum and I didn't know of any help on this matter. Of course, I bought new DVD-R TDK and I also tried with verbatim DVD-R but it does not work.

Anyone have any idea how to deal with this issue, because for example I have still no recovery disc and if something would have happened, I wouldn't be able to configure back my OS.

Thanks in advance for your help

    Best regards

    Hello

To me it sounds like the final burning self-check failed and the application couldn't t properly compare two files on the HARD drive and DVD.

Why? It's not easy to say maybe the problem is with the DVD disc not fully supported, but I saw that you used the TDK DVD-R it are really good media and should run.

Maybe you should try to update the firmware

  • Satellite L500D PSLK0A Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator does not work properly

    Hello

I am trying to create a recovery for my Toshiba Satellite L500D PSLK0A-00U009 disc.
When I run the Recovery Disc Creator he starts to open then it comes up with a box with an exclamation point, he says: 'cannot open target partition. Then the recovery disc creator will open. It seems normal, then when I insert a CD for the process seems to work then it says error and stop and ejects the CD, the error is that the code is: 0E01B5-26-510444 D 9

I already uninstalled and then program then reinstalled with the help of a download from the Web MyToshiba site and this has not fixed the problem.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

Have you tried different discs from different manufacturers?
How about you, USB flash memory usage? AFAIK, you can create a bootable Recovery USB flash stick too.

Exit this application and start it again.

These error messages appear especially if a disc is not completely compatible

I guess you used the same discs previously in order to create the right recovery disk, I know it's strange, but I think you should try another disc.

  • Satellite Pro A100 - recovery disc creator does not exist!

Can anyone help! My laptop works fine, but I wanted to create a bootdisk problems.

But Toshiba Assist > Protect & Fix > does not give me an option to create a startup disk.
    Should this with this model?

I have the recovery disk Toshiba that came with the computer, but were warned NOT to test, otherwise it can actually cause me problems!
    Any ideas?

    Satellite Pro A100-302
    Part number: PSAACE-008002EN

This option is not available on this model of laptop. Because of this, Toshiba offers recovery DVDs which can be used for the installation of operating system.

    > I have the recovery disk Toshiba that came with the computer, but were warned NOT to test, otherwise it can actually cause me problems!
This info can only come from people who don't know what they are talking about. Please ask this person what he exactly meant, and I will offer you the good explanation on the recovery procedure if you want to.

  • Modules common Toshiba is not installed on the Satellite L300-01:00

    Hello

The common Modules is very important and I can't install it.
My OS = XP SP2 64 bits SATA
    laptop model: L300 01:00

There are very many questions on this topic (not the common Modules installed) and support boys don't give a solution.
That is to say is not possible to install common & other Modules for certain types of laptops.

These posts are good only for SEO.

I am unable to reinstall XP again. I saw in the forum "the common Modules is very important, you should always install it as soon as possible". How long? before you install XP? This is a great stupiness.

Thank you for using the most supportive online namely Toshiba.

    Hello Chris

Can you please tell me what SEO?

In any case, what about your ad? Information about the common modules are right, but I don't understand your problem with it. Your laptop is supported for Windows XP Home 32 bit edition, and you want to use 64-bit Windows. So first problem you have is that Toshiba doesn't offer tools and utilities for Windows 64-bit.

On this point, we can stop the discussion.

If you want to know how the works of common modules and why is it important, we talk about it too, but it has nothing to do with your question on installing WXP 640 bits on your laptop.

I'm really surprised Toshiba Guy didn't explain it.

  • BT Stack is not installed on the Satellite A200-10 X

    Hi, I have a Satellite A200-10 x PSAEC.
Recently I discovered that my bluetooth drivers have been uninstalled. Now when I try to install (I have windows VIsta btw) the installation hangs at the beginning. What should I do? The site offers no good solutions.
    Help, please.

    Hello

It's very strange. I don't know what you're trying to do exactly, but please remove all your system BT stuff. After doing this stack of BT to install initially. When you have finished install Bluetooth Monitor. This order of the facilities is important.

Maybe you have installed BT monitor first.

    Hello

Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator is a tool of Toshiba that created the recovery disk available on HARD drive recovery image.
It s NOT support tool like Ghost, etc. that allows you to create an image of your operating system preinstalled.
If the Toshiba Recovery files are not available on the HARD drive then the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator will not work!

  • I need to install TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator on Qosmio F60 - 11F

    Hello.

I have a Qosmio F60 - 11F and I install windows 7 ultimate 64-bit, I have installed all the drivers from the Toshiba site.
I need to install the TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator & TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator utilities; I search in the Toshiba site, but nothing is there.
Can someone help me to download these utilities?

Why do you need these tools?
If you have installed your own version of the OS, these tools are useless, and for this reason, they are not available for download and installation.
These tools, you can have if you install Toshiba recovery image only.

    Hello

    Satellite you need exactly?
Folder HDDRecovery is available on the second partition?

This tool cannot be downloaded. Now, all you can do is to install the OS by using recovery recorded on the second partition image. I hope that it will work.

When you start your laptop, tap F8 and choose repair my computer option. Follow the menu on the screen. After the new installation of the operating system, you will be able to use it again.

  • T500 Vista: Roxio Creator) 1 not installed, missing since 2) C:\SWTOOLS\APPS and recovery) 3?

Do a clean install of Vista 64 on a separate hard drive to upgrade my T500 Vista 32 following Lenovo's own installation instructions here. Having correctly installed and updated all the drivers and now starting to install applications from the C:\SWTOOLS\APPS directory.

I discovered that, although the Roxio Creator and MyDVD are installed on my Vista 32 preload factory, the Roxio Creator CBED subdirectory is missing in C:\SWTOOLS\APPS (all applications are there including WinDVD).  I checked on my backups as soon as possible once I unpacked the T500 in December and am fairly certain that it was never a subdirectory of DEC there. There are also a couple of previous forum discussions indicating that I am not the only one with a missing directory DEC.

So I used my Vista 32 recovery disks to create (once again on a separate disk) Vista 32 factory settings system restore. On this system, I find that Roxio Creator is not installed, but for example WinDVD is installed. In addition to the system generated by the recovery disks all the C:\SWTOOLS\APPS directory is missing!

Then, I checked my T42 I reset to factory settings with its recovery discs and all of the C:\IBMTOOLS\APPS directory as it was then called present.

So what happens here, a Lenovo has changed its policy regarding the directory C:\SWTOOLS\APPS or is it a bug that it is absent from the factory settings system restore?

Can anyone confirm that if I the Badger Lenovo support by sending me to the new recovery disc for my system Vista T500 32 they would understand the C:\SWTOOLS\APPS directory?

If this isn't the case, any other ideas how I could get Roxio Creator installed on my Vista 64 system?

    Thank you erik.

Before you call Lenovo support Monday, I decided to do a more thorough search of the disk with Vista 32 system restored to the factory since the recovery discs settings, that I got burned.

And I found a directory apps much smaller that my factory preload C:\SWTOOLS\APPS. It is C:\Program Files\MLPS\APPS. But the success - it did not contain the directory of DEC. Since the Readme in this directory:

Easy Media Creator of Lenovo is in two parts:

    Easy Media Creator
    Drag2Disc

MyDVD is installed as part of Easy Media Creator.

In a State of preloading, both parties are installed using
This file can be used in silent mode to silentsetup.cmd.
Re-install both or one of the applications.

To capture applications for individual use
a network environment, all you need is the files
    Since the following directories.

    EPC - Easy Media Creator
    Drag2Disc\x64 - Drag2Disc for Vista64 or XP64
    Drag2Disc\x32 - Drag2Disc for XP or Vista32
