recovery disk deleted by mistake

Hi everyone.i am ryan and I have hp envy sleekbook m6, I mistakely format the recovery disc and now its unable to repair the system, because I have not any cd.i recovery would be grateful for your help if you could well provide me factory recovery laptop backup cd or if there is any other solution to solve the problem.thanks in advance.

If you had a defined recovery disk or recovery usb support, you would have been able to reinstall the recovery of running a factory image recovery partition.

Recovery media alone is normally about $25.00 USD. The media are the copy of the operating system and all the drivers required. Certainly useful for holders to emergency or reinstalling drivers and the software that came with your laptop.

  • Recovery disk is deletes the data at the 2nd disk on Satellite A300?

    Hello
I use a laptop Toshiba A300, which has 2 hard drives (250GB). The laptop has Windows Vista Home Edition 32-bit installed, but I want to change for Windows Vista 64-bit, which comes with the recovery disk, in order to use all 4 GB of RAM.

I have all the backup data and move them to the 2nd HARD drive (D, C named first name).

So I wonder if Recovery Wizard will delete the data of the two hard disks or just a 1st.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Your laptop was equipped with HARD drive recovery option allows you to create the own Toshiba Recovery disk which would be contains the preinstalled operating system.
In your case the Vista 32 bit.

And Yes, install from the recovery disk format the whole HARD drive and removes all the disk, also of the second partition.

That's why to create the recovery disk before you install or change anything on the HARD drive

  • How to delete files on the recovery disk?

I'm running out of space on my recovery disk.  I noticed that the compress and the index of the boxes are both checked.
I would like to know what to do and how to delete files on the recovery drive.

    Thank you for your help.

It is very unwise to delete these files, because it is your ONLY way to recover your PC in the event of catastrophic problem with the operating system that cannot be repaired by returning your PC to set up "out of the box.  In fact, most of the PC with a recovery partition you cannot save data on that partition.  If you are still determined to do the easiest to remove these data is boot safe mode with command prompt.  Set up the focus on the recovery partition and delete everything form the command line.  I'm not trying to be insulting, but if you don't know how to do that you probably shouldn't be remove your data from the recovery Partition because without falling back on you should have to be pretty savvy to reload Vista and install all the drivers on your own.  Locutys of Borg

  • I deleted my recovery disk.

I read that I could get more space by deleting my recovery disk because I ran out of space on my hard drive.  I need to know if this deletion will cause my computer run slower or other problems, it could cause.

Here are a few suggestions to retrieve, so do something such as the removal of your recovery partition (which I would like there was a way to cancel because you might one day need for it despite the discs of recovery which you have or can buy from the manufacturer of the computer (I saw them go for a little more than $20 - $25 but not much much more).)  You should get the disks if you do as soon as POSSIBLE in case you have problems and you need to restore the system to the original factory conditions.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A great many things affect speed and performance, and the amount of space available on your system - especially the existence of various files and which is loaded on the system.  There are ways to handle this in Vista (and that you follow all the suggestions) - and of course the amount and type of RAM and the speed of your processor and motherboard (but I'll just discuss here the software solutions - you can go to your supplier/manufacturer of computers for hardware solutions, if some are available (I) for example, am maxed out at 2 GB of RAM in my motherboard and there is no motherboard better available for my laptop model).

To enhance your speed, to using Disk Cleanup: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76073-disk-cleanup.html.

    Also do optimization: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Optimize-Windows-Vista-for-better-performance.

Go to start / search options and type msconfig and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Go to the Startup tab and uncheck any program that you don't need from start.  This will probably be the majority of the items here - otherwise most of them (some are needed as the AV program but more are there to make open source programs more quickly and make you believe that they are more effective).  This will free up a lot of RAM and a great help to make your system faster (but maybe not as long as you'll be able to see the difference - but maybe according to how many useless stuff loads at startup).

You can perform some of these tasks (and more that aren't entirely related) using http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm (which also seeks the malware).  I do it on a monthly basis only as part of normal maintenance, and I suggest you do the same.  Make sure that you select a full analysis - it will take a few hours (mine can take about 5-6) but can works in the background so start when he has enough time to complete.

You also want to have good AV programs and HAVE on your system (so no malware running in the background drain resources).  Windows Defender is a good PROGRAM.  The new, free Microsoft Security Essentials http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/default.aspx is a great AV / AM program that has one of the least impacts on resources and the performance of the system, according to reliable sources and it does the job very well.  If you are using MSE, you don't need really Defender (but you would with any other AV program).  I suggest also download http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php and it works every month to catch anything that might miss MSE/Defender.

If you follow these tips, and do this regularly (at least monthly), then I think that you will have faster to a machine as it is able to give material.

    Good luck and I hope this helps. Lorien - MCSA/MCSE/network + / A +.

  • D drive formatted by mistake. Need to do the recovery with recovery disks

My laptop HP G 61 CNF 94202NN gives weird problems so I want to make a recovery. My D drive has been formatted by mistake, but I have recovery disks. I can back up my user files and electronic data (.pst files) and you will have to re - install other programs Norton, for example, Microsoft office etc. What other problems can I meet? Can I be sent a response?

{Information} Last question. Is there a way I can recover my D drive? I do not suspect.

    Hi, Dave:

I think that your recovery disks will recreate the D:\ recovery partition.

Your recovery discs need to re-install all your PC except MS Office programs.

That, I'm not sure. I don't think it's on the revovery discs.

Yes, you must back up all the .pst files and other personal files that you have on there now.

You can't currently retrieve your drive D:\, but as I have indicated above, the recovery discs should put the PC in the State where you got it from the store - including the recovery partition.

    I doubt s a defective recovery disc.
Error message: missing or corrupted: System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys could be caused by hardware or other component defective HARD drive.
In your case, I recommend contacting the Toshiba ASP for the verification of the material with the new installation of the OS. The laptop is under warranty (as you suggest in the display above) and so everything should be done for free because it s covered by the warranty

    Hello

You have been given incorrect information on your D: Recovery partition.

You do not change the size of the recovery partition.

You are not except for the purposes listed below.

He was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

    1. to reinstall Vista from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

Also ask them how to make records.

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

    > He sent it to my father in Pakistan but quickly noticed it was full of viruses and it installed fresh Windows xp SP2 after formatting hard drive.

It was a big mistake buddy
The recovery disk is not shipped with the laptop because he had a tool preinstalled called creator Toshiba Recovery disk that allows you to create a clean recovery disc.
But this is not possible because the HARD disk has been formatted and all files have been deleted.

Now, you would not be able to recover the camera even using HARD drive recovery because the files are not available on the HARD disk.

I put t know whether you will be able to use the option of HARD drive recovery, but try to press F8 key immediately after you have switched on the laptop.
Usually, the menu should appear and you should choose the first option called repair my computer and then Toshiba recovery.

  • Recovery disks will still work if I wipe the HARD drive?

Hey everybody! I have a quick question and I hope one of you can tell me if I'm about to make a huge mistake.

My HP Pavillion Dv6 had serious problems and chkdsk deleted a lot of clues. I worked on the problem of HARD drive and looks is not default (no bad sectors, only of weakness). I read that zero-filling can help with HARD drive problems.

My only question is that I don't know if I'll be able to just reinstall after I have zeros, because the building programs will be wiped. I have an application and Driver Recovery CD and a DVD of system recovery that I have used before. These will still work if I have zero filling? Or I need something else?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Sadie

    Hi Sadie,

Yes, your recovery disks will work if set you to zero the whole HARD drive (they would also work on a new HARD drive if you need to replace the existing one).

When reloading the operating system, you choose the "Factory Reset" option will reinstall the OS and recreate all the original scores.

    Kind regards
