  • Creation of the disk recovery Partition recovery disks or HARD.

I hope that I get good advice from experts today.

Is it possible to create a custom (mine) HARD drive recovery partition?

Is it possible to create discs of recovery with all the updates and the installed program?

Is it possible to update the recovery partition? (with whatever software and installed updates)

For example, I have a laptop pre-installed with Win XP SP2 and I have upgraded to Win XP SP3 and for some reason any if I restore my laptop with the recovery discs or HDD recovery partition, the laptop will be restored to the factory loaded condition (this is XP SP2). Once again, I have to install all programs and install all updates (XP SP3). If we can create a custom recovery disks or custom recovery partition then we can very quickly restore the laptop easily to the last condition (condition at the time of the creation of the partition to restore or restore disks). It would be better if we can create the recovery partition as nothing else is needed other than the laptop for the recovery.

Another option to achieve this is with Norton Ghost (or similar tool) but the problem is that we must always continue the Norton Ghost boot disk to start and recover the image. The compatibility problem with a model in particular must be checked. I installed Norton Ghost 9 on a laptop and the laptop turns off not with the shutdown command, and I have to turn off with the power button / stop. This problem was not to withdraw 9 of Norton Ghost. If we can create our own custom recovery partition, save us a lot of resources--time, money, broadband bandwidth and no tension of the installation of all new programs.

Experts should Tips how to create the custom recovery partition and if this function is not available now experts should examine the possibility of updating the required HARD drive recovery partition.

    PRK,

I assume you mean Windows 7 after having upgraded (since this is the forum for Windows 7).  Windows 7 has a disk Image feature that can do what you are looking for.  More information is here:

  • 531 E - select partition recovery disks

Hi, I would like to have two OS on my Thinkpad E531. I have all the recovery discs four (2 App and drivers + 2 OS Recovery). Is it possible to install Windows 8 with selection of partition. Because if I start to recover, it is automatically used all of my hard drive.

And is it possible to install only the operating system without other programs such as the Antivirus Northon and so on?

    Thank you!

Good day and welcome to the community.

From my experience using recovery media factory, process, other than the disks when you are prompted, switch is completely automatic. No picking partitions or installs selective component. The aim of the game is to restore the computer to its out-of-box state.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

    Kind regards.

  • Satellite 2450: How to reinstall Windows XP Home edition on an existing partition recovery disk?

    Hello:

This question has been asked before, but the answer is the following:

On this forum you can use the option search advanced solutions if someone writes about this before.

    Anyway check this please

I checked this and it gives an answer how to create a partition, but not how to reinstall xp in drive c from the recovery disc.

There is the choice to go to the expert, but once there, I have no idea what to do. A lot of possible settings, but nothing to say how to reinstall xp without annihilating all other readers.

  • HP PavilionTouchsmart 11 Noteb: storage capacity of recovery disk is almost full

My question is: how to make more Revovery disk space?  It is almost full. Drive C is very well...

I have a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 11 Notebook PC

    Thank you

    Hello:

It is normal that the partition recovery disk is almost full, and you should never store other files on it.

The partion made just large enough to hold recovery files.

If you have stored files on the recovery partition, I recommend that move you elsewhere.

  • How to format and re - install Windows 7 using recovery disks/Partitions?

    Hello..

    My product-

    HP DV4-5109tx

    Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a free space of 78 GBs that I'm not able to use... As when I try to use the "disk management" and right-click on the free space to "format partition" this option has been grayed out... !!

Please suggest if I can use this space without formatting? (I was suggested for formatting)

In addition, due to some other issues too I want to format my Windows (and reinstall) IE drive C so that the free space problem can be solved... Also I don't want no data in my other drives to be formatted...

I have the recovery partition and the recovery disks sent by HP...

Please help me how I can use them to solve my goal...

    Thank you

It's simple, as I suggested in my previous post.

Once you have a drive like the one on the image management window simply click New Simple Volume. Create a new partition called "New Volume". Make a right click on it and the option to format it will appear.  The strips on the 75,38 GB of free space in your image indicates that the selected action will take place on this point in the disk management window. You can change the name for the new volume in Windows Explorer.

  • partitions and recovery disk

I have a satellite a10 and have partitioned the hard drive. Now, I have a small primary fat16 partition with a bootmanager, a partition main ntfs with windows xp and a partition extended, completely occupied by logical ntfs partitions with my documents. My wish was to install another operating system, making the smaller primary ntfs partition and put in the form of free space unallocated as a new primary partition.
BUT... when I was doing the smaller partition, an error has occurred, and the computer is unbootable. Now, I think, my windows partition is damaged and have no chance to save.
WHEN I try to use the toshiba recovery cd, will I have any chance not to format the entire disk, backup of my documents? Is possible to format (install Windows inside) that the space left by the corrupted partition?

Thanks to all those who will read and help me!

    Hello

Try the recovery for the professional Mode. In my view, this will help you.

  • Access the recovery disk and deleting files

I am running Vista Home Premium SP2 on a HP G50 laptop.  Recently, I ran a backup of my system and wanted to place on an external drive which was under XP.  The system wouldn't let me, so I put it on the recovery partition drive.  This filled the disk and slowed my computer down a lot.  I want to remove the backup files but can not access the recovery disc.  How to access this disk to remove the backup files?  In addition, remove the recovery files?  I made the recovery disc.

  • Partition recovery deleted and put in the form

    Hello

I accidentally deleted the partition recovery of my compaq presario cq61 (win7 home premium 64 bit) while trying to install another operating system.  Before the accident, I got the drive C and drive D marked Recovery, now after you remove the other operating system I have the drive C and D of road marked as system.

It is possible to recover this partition to backup an image I did before?

    Thank you

    Hi Michele,

The recovery partition recovery is not otherwise likely to be a possibility with free software. The chances of restoring the windows backup is also pretty thin.

If your brother's laptop is absolutely identical then use it is a viable solution to the problem.  If it is not the same, then it will be a waste of time that the Recovery Manager will refuse to work.

The best option is to use a recovery disc that is designed especially for or created by your laptop. 30.00 $ is much cheaper than purachasing an operating system.

You can save the partitions of current drive with a program like Paragon program I you provided a link to in a previous post. At least that way you'll have a reliable picture of the current situation on the hard drive of your laptop.

You can also legally reinstall Windows using the Microsoft Windows license on the certificate of Authenticity on the bottom of your laptop.

    Best regards

  • I can create a system recovery disk that gets installed and updated Windows 7, not the preinstalled HP Vista recovery Partition?

I have a laptop HP HDX 18 that had 64-bit Windows Vista installed, with a Vista recovery on his C drive Partition.  Since then, I installed clean 64-bit Windows 7 Professional of his Microsoft licensed DVD, that I still have.  I kept with all (200 +) of Windows updates.

Now, I want to create a system (Flash drive) for this laptop recovery disk, but my concern is that he will lead the recovery in its Partition Vista original, installed at the factory.   If I use W7 administration tools installed to create a system recovery disc, it will recover the old Windows Vista or Windows 7?  In addition, it would be nice to have a system recovery disk that had the latest W7.

I'm not looking to install the drive link below; However, I prefer the system recovery disk to restore my laptop to its W7 system most recently updated, rather than start over.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/installing-reinstalling-Windows#1TC=Windows-7

What choices do I have?  Where can I find the appropriate instructions?

Thank you very much for your help!

  • Re: lost recovery disk and partition recovery

My daughter managed to destroy Vista on her laptop. Problem now is that she can not find the recovery disk and formatted the whole c: drive. Is it possible that she can get the operating system from somewhere, because she still has his serial number... good job, he's stuck at the bottom of the lappy.

As I see it, you have no more options like:

1 the order [Recovery disk | https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx] Toshiba for the money and wait 2 weeks
2 get Windows copy to install. All the drivers/utilities Toshiba you can download it from [Page Driver Toshiba | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp]
If you need assistance in order to install driver, can help you

The product key that she belongs to original recovery image, that you got with your laptop and it is not a universal key that you can use with each installation of the OS.

  • Satellite L505D-S5965 and recovery disk Creater

I did a clean install of windows 7 when I updated and no longer have the Toshiba recovery disc creator.
I can always start disk recovery tool HARD I did not delete this partition when I upgraded. I would like to be able to create a recovery for my system disk in case something happened to my hard drive.

Where can I download it Toshiba Recovery disk creator tool? Is there another way for me to get a recovery disk?

    Stand by.
I think with your answers you're going in the wrong direction.
Good question, but you asked very Timox offered no exact answer.

Please do not mix two very important but completely different things:
    # New laptops computers are delivered without recovery DVD and the DVD of the facilities must be created by the owner of the laptop. For this application, Toshiba has installed small tool called 'Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator'. This tool can be used for creating discs of facilities only.
    # I don't know not what you understand under HARD drive recovery tool but the fact is that recovery image is recorded on the second partition and can be used for the installation of HARD drive recovery. This can be done if you plant only settings. After the clean operating system installation, you probably won't be able to start the installation of the HARD disk even if the recovery files are always saved on the second partition.

As I see you have American portable model. I don't know exactly how it works there but the principle must be the same as here in Europe.

At startup, you must press F8 or zero to enter advanced startup options. There you should find option repair my computer and next to this option, you enter the with recovery option Toshiba system recovery options.
When you install the clean operating system, this option will be gone. I describe how it works now on the European models, but I think we model it should be similar.

    Once again the important questions:
Have you ever tried to start installation of HARD drive recovery (F8 or 0 at startup)?
Can you he start now after installing Win7? If this isn't the case, you have a problem. I just hope that you created the recovery DVDs when you got your laptop.
