  I hope that this one will be good and useful for you. Each new laptop comes with the pre-installed operating system. When you pay the notebook also purchased operating system. A single copy and license belongs to you.   You're right about the key product. This key is for the version preinstalled only and you cannot use it for the new installation of the OS.

  I don't see the problem, it is that you use Microsoft CD/DVD installations. You just need to activate pre-installed version. All that s! If you have a legal copy, you can do it without any problem.

  As far as I know Satellite Pro L20 comes with recovery CD and there is no option for the creation on the new laptop models. This option doesn't exist.
  You wrote, it is the oldest model of laptop and I can imagine this company doesn t have for this model of laptop recovery media.

  Toshiba recovery media can be ordered under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx but I'm not sure that you will be able to order it for this older model laptop, but you can check it out.
  If you will not be able to order the original Toshiba recovery media, you can install WXP using the facilities of Microsoft CD. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba supports the page.

  One more thing: number on the bottom is for the recovery image and cannot be used with each installation of Windows XP Home edition CD.

  Satellite M30 is old enough laptop model and I don't think that to do this, you can order a Toshiba recovery media.
  What you can try is to contact the nearest authorized maintainer and ask for help.

  My company has just purchased a Lenovo's ThinkPad Twist for me (I'm a big fan of Lenovo). I'm just trying to give a sense specifications for storage. In my local disk system details, he said I have a 456 GB HDD (which I understand to be the hard drive), but on the fact sheet on the product, it says 128 GB SSD (that I understand to be a solid state drive). I think it means that I have both, in other words, I have storage hybrid, right?   The most common for a twist storage options are either:

  (1) HARD drive coupled with a small mSATA SSD storage (about 24 GB) hybrid. In this configuration, the SSD is used only as a caching drive. Transparent caching disk data caches to speed up startup and operating system and is generally not accessible to the user. If you have a caching drive, it is usually as a disk 1 tab of the Task Manager performance and disk 0 is normally the main drive.

  (2) SSD without disk caching. More full-size SSD being faster than the getting started disc cache which is included on these models, there is no point in adding in an mSATA cached disk.
