  I am using the recovery DVD for my Satellite - 1 9, PSKDLE L850, to replace my HD in the State.

  Please test once more and not sure that start you the installation of recovery with disk number 1 (if you have several of them).
  Post comments please.

  By the way: error message described can be demonstrated if the HARD drive is not OK.

  I m not 100% sure, but I think that WXP had no option for recovery disk creator. The whole story started with Vista.

  I'm really confused why this is happening, but that s be clear:

So before installing recovery starts, recovery image check and compare information with the laptop. If the information stored in recovery image correspond to the information stored on laptop recovery installation is possible, otherwise it will stop.

  When the laptop is faulty or repaired service must be portable computer information with the good. If this is not the laptop can be recognized and recovery plant will be halted.

  So if nothing is changed on the laptop my only theory is that there is something wrong with the recovery media.

  -What Windows operating system you are using?
  -Do you use with OS preinstalled by Toshiba?

  According to the description of the model of laptop, I suppose you have American portable model. I don't know how it works in the United States but, as much as I know, laptops computers Toshiba come with recovery CD/DVD facilities only.

  Usually you could order the ASP in your country, but I m not very well that if you will be able to order this disc because the P10 is an old notebook series and possibly the recovery discs are not more available for this model.

  However, you must contact the ASP in your country to get a confirmation.
