  The same situation is on all laptops come with HARD drive recovery image. Recovery image is saved in the folder called HDDRecovery. It is recommended to create recovery DVDs using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. When the recovery DVD is created, you can delete these files and use of recovery DVDs for the operating system installation.
  Otherwise the partitions are large enough, and you should leave this file here. Just define it as hidden and you won't.

  This small partition has nothing to do with the Toshiba recovery image. Recovery image Toshiba is large enough and cannot be saved on small partition.

  The EFI and recovery of partitions are required by Windows 10, if or the other is deleted, Windows will not start.  They contain files, but are not fitted for managing disks them incorrectly reports as 100% free.

I understand that shrink should be done several times to get full party, so presumably he would get smaller. I the have not used yet, but because of the concern/mystification about the reasons for this apparently incorrect space used for the drive.

  I have Vista Home Premium (64-bit). I don't have a shadow copy volume.

  I have not installed or changed anything significant since buying the computer, nor what I made a backup to C or D or large file transfer done.

  You mentioned that the total size of the hard drive is 750 GB and also mentioned that the size is 683 after formatting and 15 GB recovery partition that add up to 698 GB. So where's the advantage remaining 52 GB.

  You have another partition outside C and D.

  However, I suggest you perform a check disk on your computer that will rectify the bad sectors, if any. Bad sectors will also be counted as used space.

  CHKDSK (Chkdsk.exe) is a tool for command line that checks volumes of disk for problems and attempts to fix everything what it finds.

  1. click on Start.

  2. type cmd in the search box start and press to enter.

  3. type the following command at the command prompt: chkdsk driveletter: / f/r (chkdsk c:/f/r)

  4. check the size of the hard drive.

  Recently I factory reset my computer and proceeded to put some of my old files save them on the computer. Some of the files were games, but I realized that I couldn't play without resettlement of their records. I was unable to uninstall properly an any of them, so I just deleted files - but I noticed after I had deleted the files that I had lost more (about 30-40 GB worth) hard disk space

  When I went to reinstall these games of their records, I found that they were taking about three times as much space as they said they would be (for example, it said it would take up to about 3.5 GB of space, but it ended up taking 11 concerts of my DD)

  Since then, I've lost an another 30 concerts without doing anything.

  Is there a reason for this? I scanned my computer for any sort of malware with two different anti virus systems, and they all come in white. I have two firewalls running as well, so I highly doubt that it is malware.

  I managed to solve the problem.

  System Restore has been fixed to raise as much as 50% of my hard drive space. I have since lowered to a more reasonable amount and have obtained a large part of the rear of space SD, and I at least know where the rest. Thank you very much for the help.

  You really need to think about 15%, a minimum of free space on the disk.

  Your 1st task is to try to identify the cause of the lack of space. Things like music, photos and especially video may gradually creep on you.

  TreeSize here is quite useful to work where space is gone.

  Libraries can be moved. Expand 1st level of etiquette in the left pane to display the top folder and right-click. The location of the tab, you can change the location of one of the empty discs and it will copy all files when you click on move. If you have more than one user, it is best to create a record of the user for each group and then do it for each of them. Don't forget to check the new location is included in all of the backups.

  Also use disk cleanup too. Open the computer, right click on the C drive, and then click Properties. Click Disk Cleanup. For more options in the result, click on the option of system files and see what you can get rid of.

  Am I correct in that the more it is downloads the more space it uses? Because there is no idea of computers and ive told him to buy his own laptop as im finding installed programs that Apple has offered him Safari being a! Who ive told him we don't need!

  How can I transfer to my E Hardrive? Can I copy all my photo files and transfer via, then remove it from my C?

  Should I get up ITunes together in this hardrive?

  Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreicated, I have no idea how ITUNES works with the computer, I know the basics of what it is and, but uf I had asked to use I don't know the first thing!
