Your ISP, who runs the mail server, can provide port numbers and other settings. Pages of help/support of the ISP may have this information easily accessible.
The other common cause of error 0 x 800 is safety programs - an antivirus program scans incoming or outgoing e-mail, or a Firewall interferes with authentication.

The progress bar is almost all the way to the end and then stops while the wheel keeps spinning. I have usually need two accounts on my system. I lent my laptop to a friend for a few hours and asked him to connect with the guest account but he got "the user profile service has no logon. User profile could not be loaded"error message. So I tried to create new accounts (standard and administrator), but nothing works. I am able to connect to my account but not to other accounts, I have create on my system. Pls help

Looks like what ive solved this now. Ive disabled SQL VSS Writter and a product called Neverfail (we use to DR our servers). Since ive done this im now able to create snapshots and images begin to generate.

You did it of any material changes or software on the computer before this problem?
I recommend to reset the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) and check if the problem persists. If you are not comfortable to do, you can contact the manufacturer of your computer for help.
Note: Changing the BIOS / chipset can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/chipset can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Make sure that you can access your e-mail via webmail, if you have this option to ensure that it is not a problem on the server. Then locate the antivirus interference and ensure that the analysis of the electronic mail is disabled (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3). Try to remove your e-mail account and then close OE and then add it back again and then see if it works.
