(Redirected) 10 Windows installation problems.

I'm having the problem of installation for Windows 10.  I have an Inspiron 15 3521.   I download Windows 10 and start the installation. Then download the message, it cannot update the reserved partition.  When I open the Disk Manager I can't find reserved partition. I tried several programs to extend the partition of the reserve, but in vain. Does anyone have any suggestions?

IM using Xp 32 bit?

    Hello

Thanks for posting the request in the Microsoft community forums!
It seems that you receive the error Windows install is not available or is not installed correctly during the iTunes update.

    Method 1:
You can perform a clean boot and check if you are able to update the iTunes.

Note: When the diagnosis is complete do not forget to reset the computer to a normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article

    Method 2:
You can try the suggestions section of the knowledge base and check if it helps:

  • TurboCAD Pro 14.2 fails to install because Windows Installer problem.

    Problem installing Windows

I TurboCAD Pro 14.2 and I was forced to get a new key of Activation of IMSI, as I have lost the original.  After with the new key of Activation Windows Installer contains TurboCAD for about half an hour before I give myself the opportunity to cancel the installation program or continue with it.  Only when I opt to cancel TurboCAD works.  I tried to run Microsoft Fix - it, which tells me that there is nothing wrong with what on the system, and I tried to remove and reinstall the program does not.  Also, I spent about two weeks of work, by electronic mail, with the team of the IMSI and beyond them telling me to use a utility windows install cleanup which no longer exists, nothing materialized.  I am running Windows XP SP 3; can someone help me with this? All constructive comments will be appreciated: thank you.

For all those who have offered suggestions that I found the answer.  It seems that the whole problem is the consequence of a file named SetPdb14Pro.  I found the file among those on my Add/Remove panel.  Once I removed it the package worked without a hitch and it did not return because I now use my original password installation discs and activation code.  Here is a month lost because I don't watch carefully before I made a leap.

    Troubleshoot installing or uninstalling programs

    Problem installing Windows updates:

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

  • (Redirected) 10 Windows Installer failed: no video display, screen, impossible to boot-to-use computer only black

Hi all I recently upgraded from Dell s 660 Windows 8.1 for Windows 10 PC. That part went well, no problem.

Then, I decided that I wanted to clean things up I did a Reset, delete all settings of Windows. This ultimately failed and I got an error message that the bootstrapper has been damaged. Computer would not boot successfully.

OK, so I decided to do a clean install to solve this problem. See the Microsoft Web site and download a tool to create bootable USB stick with Windows 10 installation files

Then I inserted the USB in the broken computer, restarted, and the installation begins without any problem. I got all the way to the screen where I choose which partition to install the OS on. I chose the right partition and clicked ok, then leaves the room for a few minutes. I came back and met with a black screen, but the computer still worked. I waited about 30 minutes, but there was no change, so I decided to restart.

Given zero has not set the problem. The computer always starts and I see the hard drive activity light flashes from time to time, but I don't see anything on the screen. No DELL logo at the start as there were no past, no loading spinner, nothing... Pressing F8 does not seem to help, I can't get into the BIOS or anything. I tried with and without installation of Windows 10 bootable USB inserted, does not matter anyway the result is same - just a black screen.

I guess it could be a hardware problem, but it feels like a very large chance that my error started to arrive for the 10 Windows Installer, so in my gut, I feel like this is probably a software problem, but I don't know. I've never had problems like that until the 10th of Windows Installer.

I have tried both HDMI and VGA ports, nor work. It has integrated video, so these ports are directly on the motherboard. Any ideas on how to fix?

  • after upgrade to windows installation problems

I have a Compaq cq60. I had vista windows until recently. Now, I've upgraded to windows 7 ultimate. I would like to know if my phone is compatible with the current version of windows. Another problem which started occurring after that I upgraded is im not being not able to video chat on facebook. video chat icon is simply absent. And im also having trouble installing some stuff (Skype and adobe flash player). Installation stops abruptly in the middle. I have tried different browsers google chrome, mozilla and ie. but it's the same deal. Y at - it a plugin, driver I need to install to be able to video chat? Since the video chat used to work properly when I had vista, im guessing this is a problem related to the upgrade of windows 7 ultimate. currently I don't have a service pack installed. Any help would be appreciated.

My laptop came with vista. But recently I started developing problems. It would have should go down abruptly. So I contacted a dealer near. When my laptop back t has been upgraded to windows 7. When I asked him about this, his response was that windows vista has been exceeded and windows 7 was a better. I'm not investigating the details. In any case, what are the options I have now? should I downgrade from vista? I tried to download Skype again today, but after downloading it said installation could not be copleted.

Indeed, you must reinstall Windows Vista that came with your computer. See the following thread on how to:

  • Problem with Windows Installer (I think)

Hey I just got a new 'game' PC with all the good things like i7 processor nvidia GTS 250 graphics card. So I guessed I would setup games. Games were installed very well the problems started when I tried to run SteamInstall.msi he looks ready to install for 1 second and then close and nothing happen. Even try to do once again nothing. So I gave up with it.

Then I installed cod4, codwaw and download for both patches. When I try to install the patches it starts normal and after extractinng saying "" ".msi or msu or something it get stuck on the preparation for installation on both cod4, codwaw games and I think about others too... '".

So I guess that's my Windows Installer problem... ? Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 (problems on SP1 also)

    Yoris,
I think that if you had a problem with Windows Installer, then you would have also had a problem installing the games themselves.  If after installing just the game, you are able to start the game, then you will need to determine if you really need the patches you install.  If they fix game issues and do not add any content, then you may not even need of patches.  If it turns out that you do not have the patches and they are self extracting\installing files and then save them to your desktop and then right click and select run as administrator and see if that helps.  You can also check with Activision support , because this can be a problem they know.
