(Redirected) Dell will give me any guarantee on computers that I just got five days ago

I bought two 7020 Optiplex desktops from the store with the Black Friday sale. Yesterday we finally got the computers off and started to use them after you have everything set up for our use.

Today, computers only want to turn on 25% of the time, so I called a call to guarantee NDB.

I've been on the phone for 3 hours today, come to discover the computers were sold originally to the U.S. Government, and when Dell was selling on the store, they never fixed the registration of the service tags. However everyone I talked with at Dell basiclly said me that is there anything they can do, what I have to fill out the change of forms of property and then wait. So I filled out the correct fourms, and the site told me that it will take 10-15 days for the change of ownership to complete.

So now I have to wait for 10-15 days before I can get any warranty work completed on computers...

This is the WORST service I've ever received from Dell in my live. I was a network by a few different company administrator, and we have always used Dell for everything which, because of the great service.

Someone at Dell needs to communicate with me TONIGHT... I called several times today, only to be put on hold for the extremely long wait times, while the Dell employee attempted to solve the problem. I want to just computers working...

No power on, getting error code 21 on switch / stop on two computers... It is a code of motherboard... Please also send a new power supply with motherboards.

    Thanks for the reply tim but it was my fault. I discovered that was.in problem device manager choose ata/atapi controllers ide and settings properties.advance then find which channel ata your dvd - rw or cd's and then uncheck the box that refers to the memory.wmp of the cache is now ok, but still curious, no way to change from digital to analog playback on the device tab, as others have said.

  • I use Windows 7 and even though I'm logged in as an administrator, I can't use any of the items that have the logo of the administrator beside them.

    I have a problem with the help of any item that requires to have the level of use of the administrator when you use the C: drive, who runs the Windows program.     Thanks for the suggestions. I had already done without success, but I did a scan of the entire computer again (without threats found). I was then able to run sfc/scannow, which reported no cases of violation of integrity. To my surprise, I was able to use the service administrator - but not for long.

    Later the same day I lost the function of administrator, but repeating the above got running again. The next day, I lost the function again and this time that the above did not work.

    While I had the opportunity to use the administrator function I created a second user as an administrator, so I went to that user to see if I could use that one - but no, who had also lost an officer.

    I checked the documentation that came with my Toshiba laptop, I remembered that there was some sort of possible recovery system, but I don't have a lot of attention to it when I got the laptop first. I found that by pressing F8 during the boot he took in what looked like a BACK based program that allowed me to do a system restore without being an administrator.

    I tried the most recent restore point, but it did not work. I went with each successive restore point, but all failed until I came to that before I installed Microsoft Silverlight. It worked and my laptop starts normally. For the last two days he works normally and shut down normally. sfc/scannow and an analysis of the entire system show no problems with viruses etc. So, it looks like the Silverlight installation caused the problem.

    I don't know if all laptops have this 'F8' facility, but for me, it meant a relatively quick fix (once I had remembered to this topic) in a situation which cannot be easily rectified through normal Windows programs.

  • Atheros AR5007 wireless network adapter will give me only non-local local access and internet access. Any help please.

    Not sure if the problem is hardware or software. Reinstalled Vista (32 bit) and all programs. Make sure that the appropriate driver has been installed at HP. Can access the internet via ethernet, but wireless is detected with excellent resistance but will only give local access. I would be grateful for any feedback. In addition, it used to work properly. Not sure what happened to bring about change.

    I'm fighting this same question for months.  I fixed it just a few minutes ago.  I had been looking for Bulletin Board after Board.  Here's what I did - I hope it helps.

    Enter the network and sharing Center

    Other right of the connection - click to view the status of

    Click on properties

    Under your driver, click CONFIGURE
    Click on the DRIVER tab

    Click on update DRIVER

    Have windows search for the driver update.

    Once this is installed, I could immediately get Internet restored.  Months of frustration finally taking charge!

    This week (01/10/12) I registered on youtube and now I can't log back in here or in my gmail account. I tried every fix-it/single remedy offered the FF forum but nothing works.

    Any other work, all the sites that I frequent load fine, is youtube doing something on purpose for FF users? I can get the page youtube videos and see, but I can't log on, every time I click the sign in button, I get:

    I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, I can connect to youtube without problem on IE, but I hate this browser. I use windows 7 and 15 FF. Can someone find it?

    Looks like it's a firefox issue, because that never happened on IE, Safari or Opera on me.
    You think not that a simple patch can solve this problem. I have to delete individual cookies every day.

    We have the same problem. Ours is a little out of the ordinary that we have a web application that displays pages based on a configuration of a database for the "namesake" page is created over and over again that our users make their way through our investigations.

    Is there a method on the side Server things, what can be done to stop this error from appearing? We tried some experiments as alternating in the title of the page, redirect between two different pages but FF still think it is to see the same page over and over again.

    We would love to be able to support FF for our clients and their customers (those who take our surveys) and it is a crucial issue at the moment for some of our customers worldwide.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I want to install Windows 7 on a Dell Latitude D820 laptop. What is the status of having drivers required, as Dell does not offer any on their support site for Windows 7 on this model?

    Whenever I install Windows XP on it, I have to go to the Dell support site and get the chipset drivers Intel, network, audio and video for all the work.  XP is the original version, and then I have to install the SP2, SP3 followed.

    Should I do the same thing during the installation of Windows 7?  Get the drivers for the various components to work?  Or Windows 7 will make installation much simpler?

    Your best option will be to run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.  This will give you a screen that will tell you which drivers will be required as appropriate with what program incompatibilities there might be.

  • Windows 7 will not accept any ati driver and catalyst control center at the same time.

    I tried a number of ati drivers. My card is a 4870 x 2 2 GB edition. The driver that windows installs will not accept any CCC.

    I did also install CCC and only driver left. I tried to play Everquest 2, first game to install, and it crashes before the charge, gives me an error of ref dx9.

    I'm assuming that windows 7 has the new package dx so I shouldn't have to reinstall that. I downloaded some of them however.

    I'll try a restore and see if it works. If I could go back in time and never bought this o/s I now.

    Windows 7 DirectX 11.  You can also download and install v9 and have both at the same time, which is what I have on two different computers for this reason.

    While there is really no way to stop you using the trial for commercial purposes (and to be honest, it's probably the best way to know if it works for you, in any case) you need to keep in mind that, after the 30 day trial period you will not is no longer able to work the same day or any other project unless you register it.

    I watch the DVD yesterday and he played upward halfway through and almost jerky. Ejected and thought no more of him now, the player will not recognize any disc, be it video or sound. I tried a system restore but still the same thing that it is not read disks. Any help appreciated.

    If your CD/DVD drive doesn't work, how do you have a system restore?

    Is the CD/DVD drive listed in Device Manager correctly or you see a yellow exclamation mark on it?

    Maybe the lens is dirty and must be cleaned with a Microfiber cloth. Open try CD/DVD and try to clean the lens with a clean Microfiber cloth.
    Check this box!
