  • Drivers for Inspiron 5748

There are no drivers under the download section for inspiron 5748, typed my service and code in a hurry to see the all the drivers but there is only one application and not drivers for any OS. Also tried different browsers. How to say this is the WORST phone I've ever owned, never never had so many problems with any laptop in my life, God I'm angry.

For the moment, there is something wrong with the Dell Support page. I suggest that you try again later. In the meantime, please list some of the problems you are having with the system, maybe we can help you.

  • Inspiron 5748, Crucial M500 - "internal hard disk not found".

My Inspiron 5748 comes with w8.1 pre-loaded onto a standard 500 GB hard drive, but I wanted to move to an SSD. I have two M500s Crucial (the two 2.5 "); one with W7 loaded from another laptop, the other barely taken out of the box.

With one of them installed, the message at startup after the dell symbol arrives is "internal hard disk not found", and while there is no bootable media found.

In both cases, UEFI and back diagnonstics reporting tools that there is indeed a crucial m500 present and functional. Both work well in my other laptops (purchased separately).

Is there a problem of formatting? There is no update available for this SSD firmware.

    Thank you!

    Hi Wazzbot,

Use the recovery discs Windows 8.1 you prepared using the Dell printer utility to backup and restore Windows loading on the SSD drive. Because the disks are the same size, it should work without problem.

  • Inspiron 5748 - new battery, do not charge, new adapter not recognised...jack/socket or Win10 problem?

Battery does not charge in my Inspiron 5748 - Intel [email protected] / 8 GB RAM / 1 TB drive / two years. I replaced the charger and the battery but the problem persists. I've seen on other mobile messages and wonder if this could be a problem with the connector/plug (between the adapter and laptop), and if I could replace that? In addition, the problem seems to have started when we went from Win8.1 to Win10; would that be a problem?

It is a hardware issue that will not be solved by a BIOS update.

If the system is under warranty, call Dell for the repair or replacement of the adapter / power to the system.

If it is out of warranty,

    1. try a new adapter Dell OEM.  It can solve the problem.

    2. in the case, replace the DC Jack:

    www.Parts-People.com/index.php

    3. If that does not resolve the problem, it is the motherboard that is defective and must be replaced.

  • (Redirected) Inspiron 15 7000 series 7559 heating up to 47 or 48 degrees Celsius in normal navigation

    Hello

Just brought a new laptop from dell on the game of the inspsiron series. While I do normal web browsing and listening to songs and watch movies (not even started the game), the laptop heats up to 45 to 48 degrees Celsius after one hour or two hours. It feels as if I am managing a toaster, I have attached the screen shot for the same:

Is there a way where I can start the fan manually (any software from dell that could help). I tried to download the drivers and the dell support site does not yet detect my laptop.

I'm sorry to say, but as much as dell are eager to sell the product, they are all too frustrating with their web and real support. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
