• Error loading operating system (Win XP Pro);

  On a clean IBM T40 (old) laptop, after succesfull re-install of Win XP SP3, Office 2007 and other members of the staff, I made the mistake to invoke the backup/restore preinstalled internal IBM software. This caused the system to boot a new partition hidden in order to backup, but something went wrong, system broke down and nothing worked. I ' v has managed to recover everything in partition magic, reactivate my main partition, deleting the hidden partition and if I start the system using an external bootable CD appears as the Windows CD, or any other - it seems that everything is on my drive HARD (c).
  My HARD disk system initialization returns an error: "error loading operating system".  I tried Fixboot and FixMBR from the Console, but it does not solve the problem.
  Looks like what I need is the eqvivalent of the old fashioned the ' sys c ", in the days back/Win3.x. Any help? /CE

• Problem: installation of Windows on VMware Workstation operating system

  I install Windows XP Professional 32-bit and I have this problem it goes directly on the formatting and copying files. I can't redirect on the part of partitioning of the installation. Any ideas on how to tinker with the settings? so that I could enter the virtual disk partitioning option. I also encounter this even tried windows 7 and still cannot partition the drive. Just go directly on installing part. But in the Linux operating system like ubuntu, pretty and zorin sound correct, it's just windows os, I have this problem. Really need help please.

• Windows operating system online

  We had a problem yesterday where we needed to quickly get the status of all of our virtual Windows machines.  We needed and still need a way to identify quickly if the OS is up and running, not only if the customer is in a powered state.

  Most of our customers have "old tools" because we are in the process of upgrading to U4.  Our environment is 100% Windows.

  Can I report it on the guest easily online operating system?  If so, then at the end of the report can it be redirected in .xls or .csv format?

  If I understand correctly the wire you want to be able to find customers who are turned on, but where the operating system does not work because it is not installed?

  The following example script will create a CSV file that reports on different types of States of all your guests.

  If you look in the CSV file and select guests who have a powerstate of 'receiving' and a 'red' GuestHeartbeatStatus you find the guests you are looking for.

  If you want a script that reports that the guests, an if statements in the previous script will do the trick.

  Guest operating system cannot play sound directly through the host. However, you can redirect its good that your tools like VNC and RDP remote communication.

• How can I remove messages from POP e-mail from the server in El Capitan?  The option to delete messages after downloading is not an option of the operating system.

  About to buy a new iMac. Need very soon. As ordered by next week. Prefer to El Cap installed (would rather wait Sierra went through the selection process before entering a new operating system to work). Anyone knows which OS is available on the Apple Store now (since the Sierra was not yet released to the public)? And if El Cap is still available - when someone anticipate he will not be available? (I want to configure what I buy and places like MacMall, while large, are not as versatile).

  Without doubt, El Capitan, as the Sierra is not released until September 20.

I want my MBP to stay on OSX 10.9 (because it is the last operating system that supports Adobe Creative Suite CS6).

  You cannot run the last Safari on Mac OS 10.9.

  It requires the latest Mac OS (10.11)

  You can create a new partition and install the latest OS above and use it.

  Then the Mavericks partition boot when you want to use Adobe Creative Suite.

• Had to reload operating system and applications data, now can't get firefox to recognize the profile data

  My C drive (disk solid state drive), which held my operating system and data from the app crashed. I had it replaced, updated Win 7 to win 10 and have downloaded Firefox. I was able to restore my profile from a Mozy backup data and copied in the Firefox folder. But Firefox resolutely refuses to recognize. I tried using the recovery data from an old profile, but no advantage help page. Tried to use the Manager profile, but without success. When I go to Troubleshooting Information and click on file/Show profile, it comes up with a list of files (files starting with bookmarkbackups, which however is empty, down for webapps, which has the file inside webapps.json), then the files from addons.json down through xulstore.json and the file places.sqlite is 10 240 KB Although there is something in there, but Firefox resolutely refuses to acknowledge my profile, bookmarks, etc..

  I'm out of options and ripping my hair out trying to get all my favorites, in which I have a lot of information such as the authentication of data for many favorite sites. It is frustrating that all the information seems to be there, but Firefox ignore all.

  Such a backup is perhaps a ZIP archive containing all the files into it if it is not a real file, but only one file.

  Note is that you replace the file places.sqlite with a copy of the backup that you have to make sure to remove existing places.sqlite - shm and temporary files to SQLite places.sqlite - wal.
  Ditto for the other SQLite files that you are restoring.

  Have you checked the application.ini file in the backup?
