Reduce a record slide

Hello

I'm having a time hard to believe Adobe Captivate 5.5 lacks the feature to reduce a slide of the recording of a few seconds, but I can't for the life of understand me how do. Let me share a few details:

I recorded a record slide using the following parameters:

Capture.PNG

The slide is a total of 442,2 seconds of time, and I want to set up to 437 seconds of time. Here is the chronology of the slide that you can see what it looks like:

Capture.PNG

Anyone know how I can do this?

Thank you!

Jordan

When you select the TMF his prop. Panel has a FMR edit the part where you cut

  • Adding background to a recorded slide

Is it possible to add a background (as a master slide) to a slide that has been saved in Adobe Captivate? If so, how? I used a Master Slide set, and then I chose: "Insert-> record Slide... "I recorded the slide, but the interface seems to conflict with the background. Is there a way to remedy this?

It is not an easy way to do what you want, as far as I know, but it can be done.  To my knowledge, Cp you cannot resize the registration area so that you can not adjust to fit within your content area in your slide masters.  The registration area is always the same size as your slides.

When you save slides, the 'background' of what you save (in other words, static parts) are merged into the background of the slide and all other 'things' is on this backdrop (mouse, legends), highlights, etc.

If it were me, here's what I'd do:

    (1) I would cut out the white space of your slide background is transparent.

    (2) I would manipulate the application window (if it's even possible at your request) then it will be good within the limits of my content area.

    (3) for the recording, move the zone check box (red outline) so there is the right amount of space above, below and next to the content area so that recording is part of the moment transparent 'window' of the slide.

Note, step 3 would probably much trial and error to get it's perfect.

    (4) when the recording is finished, use the slides to the slide of record model.  The graphics for your master slide will be sitting on top of the recorded background (which should cover only is your behind/the application all about desktop or parts of the application window you care).

Sorry I can't download screenshots (information security) or I'll try to help more.  There may be a different or easier way, but I'm not always known for doing things the easy way.  Hope that makes sense, let me know if not.

The other option is you could take a bunch of static screenshots and manually build the slides.  Type of losses that can be the object of recording with captivate and it would take a lot of time, but it might also work.  I had to do it before we were to create a system that has not been built yet, it built out of models and models wired to it development and made all the data with the text boxes.

  • Increase in width OCD reduce rest of slide?

By increasing the width of the table of contents in Captivate 8, which will automatically reduce the width of the rest of the slide?

This design is not a sensitive project.

Sorry if this question seems obvious.

    Thank you

Table of contents can be used in overlay or separated. I suspect that you head to the second option? No, it will add real estate necessary for the display of your project, but the size (resolution) will be retained in the designed capacity. If you use the table of contents in overlay, it will cover most of your slide when it is expanded.

  • Record slide show Information

    Hi all

I'm building a site that allows our customers to customize our product. (An online Configurator)

We do this by layering slideshows.

When the customer has configured its product, I want them to be able to present the result to us.

Is it possible to save the buttons that have been selected on a slideshow? (Therefore the slide show)

I also want the customer to be able to submit the notes a form is so logical. Can I include the information saved with the form?

Have been Googling but do not know what search terms to use?

    Thank you!

    David

It would need to have a way of creating persistent information - cookies, PHP, script variables session information. None of this comes by default with Muse and you still need a backend server adapted to treat information collected once.

  • Recording a video demo of full-screen as a slide of record

I'm used to create empty projects with different types of slides - simulations, demos, content slides, etc.  If you choose to record a demo video inside these presentations, it seemed forced to switch my application window in the small red box.  If I record a new video demonstration as a project, I have a lot more options like mode full screen.

Is there a way to record a video fullscreen demo as empty a record slide to insert into my project?  I know that I check just a bunch of individual projects video demo as insert as 'media' in my vacuum was planning, but what disturbs and lots of time.  It also creates confusion because the project itself and the video demonstration both of control bars.

Try to record a video demo inside Photoshop, for example, is really difficult inside this little tiny window.  Also, I prefer not not pan, which I find shocking and useless for my students.

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

First, you should note that with any project you create (assessment Simulation, demo, demo, Etc.) once you configure this initial size, that's what you are locked in. So if your computer maybe has a resolution of 1366 x 768 and you create a project at 800 x 600, there is no way to really present a slide to a size larger than 800 x 600, because it is the resolution of your project. Of course, you are able to record a video demo to create a CPVC file, then inside one. File CPTX, you can click Insert > CPVC Slide (at least in version 7, it's how it's done. May be different if you use 8).

You can, however, add some tools to zoom and pan for the video demo. I know that you are avoiding panoramic, but one can think of pan in the type "stop motion" registration and pan is not that you're able to achieve using the video demo.

    See you soon... Rick

  • Slides showing hidden presenter 8 while recording with PPT 2010

When I record audio from a presentation Adobe Presenter 8 (using PowerPoint 2010), is to show the hidden when recording slides.  I can't find anything about this in the help or anywhere online.  As far as I know, presenter is supposed to respect the hidden slides and not to show them.  Am I missing something obvious?  I really want to have to delete all my slides hidden, as I use them a lot.  Thanks for any advice.

I found on another forum that's how works of presenter.  Hidden slides appear during the registration process, but if I click through them, when I publish the final presentation, the hidden slides are automatically deleted.  I submitted a feature request asking that the hidden slides not shown during the registration process.

  • Workflow of Storyboard scripted to slide show

I am new to InDesign, and I was wondering the best way to move from the table of Storyboard to different exports as a slide show and a short video. My table of Storyboard consists of pages in landscape with the actual slides in 4 x 3 in the center of the page. As the name of the chapter notes, script, and description are on the perimeter of the slide. I'm starting to create slides with Elements(placed from Illustrator) graphics and text (Styles of InDesign). When I view in presentation mode, I can test the flow of the slide to the slide.

I would like to export a Powerpoint/PDF containing only parts of slide table Storyboard for my client to easily click through the slides in a presentation without any of the display of additional information.

I have to do an InDesign file with pages reduced portion of slide 4 x 3 on each page? Not sure that the best workflow for this project type. I like to keep all my graphics to linked in order to change them and ask them to update the presentation overall. I also want to use the InDesign text engine. I have attached what my file looks like currently.

    References/suggestions are welcome! Thank you!Screen Shot 2016-08-31 at 9.03.06 PM.png

    Hi Gabriel,

    Solution 1:
Export the slides in PNG with high resolution.
Select what you want to export and export in PNG with 600 dpi or even 1200 dpi.
    Do this for each slide.

Place the PNGs in PowerPoint. -Online send the PowerPoint file to your client.

    Solution 2:

Export all pages as a PDF.

With Acrobat Pro crop all pages.
If the position of the blades on the pages is the same, this can be done only once.

-Online send the PDF cropped to your customer.

Or: Open the PDF cropped with PhotoShop and make all pages PDF to PNG.

Place the PNGs in PowerPoint. -Online send the PowerPoint file to your client.

    Solution 3:
Make a new InDesign document where the page size is exactly the size of your slides.
Place pages InDesign of your storyboard table that contains annotations. Crop and position them exactly on the pages.
If you have to do it again, because you had to make some changes to the slide master, you can simply update the placed InDesign documents.

Export the document to PDF. -Online send the PDF file to your client.

Or: The export in PNG document. Place the PNGs in PowerPoint. -Online send the PowerPoint file to your client.

Or: Export to PDF, open the PDF with PhotoShop and make all pages PDF to PNG.
Place the PNGs in PowerPoint. -Online send the PowerPoint file to your client.

Do some tests with solutions and decide what is best in the expectation of quality and his client.
It is not good idea to place a PDF to PowerPoint.

    Kind regards
    Uwe

  • Problem recording - screenshot is not capture the correct window

    Hello

I work in Captivatre 7 on a Mac and I try to add a record slide to make a tutorial in Photoshop. When I do the screenshot, then finished, it brings back me to Captivate and all the slides have the background of my captivate model rather than the Photoshop window. It is not happened to me before and all parameters are similar - I have used capture screen in Captivate 5 & 6, but not 7. When I went to try the screen capture in Captivate 6 also, it does the same thing. Some of the movements (but not all) are taken into account properly - the text captions are referencing movements associated with Photoshop. Here are some pictures below - orange background is my background model Captivate, and I added some photos of my settings. Any help is appreciated!

    Screen Shot 2013-11-26 at 7.20.04 AM.pngScreen Shot 2013-11-26 at 7.31.31 AM.pngScreen Shot 2013-11-26 at 7.31.42 AM.pngScreen Shot 2013-11-26 at 7.18.09 AM.pngScreen Shot 2013-11-26 at 7.18.21 AM.pngScreen Shot 2013-11-26 at 7.18.47 AM.png

Take a look in your library in background to see if there is a bunch of charts of capture are listed.  If there is, then straight catches, that you're just not see them in the views of the slide.  It could be that you have slide master assigned to these slides and the slide master graphics are sitting on the top of the screenshots.

  • integrating the video with regular Captivate Slides

Is it possible to add a demo video of the project in the middle of another Captivate project which consists of slides from Captivate ordinary? If so, how would I go all this?

    Hi Jay,.

Yes, did a lot of times (there was one of my first questions during the previews as well). There are different possibilities:

    1. Create the project of cpvc (video), publish it on MP4 and insert it into the MP4. This isn't my choice if I plan well before, because you must pass to the cpvc, if you want to change something in the video.
    2. Start with a cptx project and instead create a separate video, use the option insert record Slide, demo. The slide after registration will resemble a FMR slide, but you can change it of in the cptx file, the video editor you know since the cpvc files opens when you choose to edit the slide video. I mainly use this approach, but I have a lot of RAM on my desktop PC. Maybe not the best choice if the system is more limited.
    3. If the number of regular slides, project is especially video, you can add more static objects in the cpvc file directly. She will end up like a long video. My YouTube videos have been created this way.

BTW: insertion of a project of crude in a cptx file is not possible (yet). I've been begging but no way...

  • Blades Records with predefined objects

    Hello fellow captivaters

I want to do: save the activity of my screen, and then when I finished it and slides are generated, I want to have some objects already present that I've previously defined. Why? because there are a few elements that will be present at all the slides, I know and I don't want to have to sit down and add them all to the hand after registration because it could become very tedious for large projects.

I am not able to get there! There must be a way to do it in this program, or am I wrong? I tried with the project template, but when I record slides, pre-defined objects do not come along

I can you help me I am so grateful! THX

Please, what version of Captivate you use?

Several options, one that works for all versions is to put objects on the first slot and the time to be displayed for the rest of the project.

In CP5/5.5, that another way is to insert the object on a master slide that you apply to all slides.

  • Audio recording is no longer works in Cap5 - ideas?

I created a presentation and audio recording in several ways (Audio - recording - slide) (the Audio icon in the taskbar).

Yesterday, I opened the Captivate and these two options don't work anymore.  I do not mean that I can't save.  I mean I can't access the screen in the software that lets you record.

Registration generally works very well - I record in Audacity.  This isn't a problem of Windows (XP) or an entry problem or a hardware problem.

    Everything else works in Captivate.

Audio of the previously saved slide sets.  I just can't save.   After using the above option, Captivate freezes and I need to click ESC to unlock.

I know, it's weird.  If you don't believe me, look here.  Let me know if you see me something wrong while you're there.

    http://screencast.com/t/0fsLsR5Lh

So, I did what anyone facing a weird isolated software problem would do.  I reinstalled Captivate.  Today, same problem.

Help?  Any ideas?  I do the final changes on my project, there is a delay, etc., etc.

First thing to try is empty the cache using the key in the preferences.

If this does not resolve the issue, you can try closing Captivate and delete the Preferences file itself.

    On Xp, it is located at: C:\Documents andSettings\Application Data\Adobe\Captivate 5 Settings\

Captivate will re-create this folder next time it starts, but settings preference, you have done will be lost.

Additionally, make sure that you have installed all the updates and patches.

  • If you type audio tap.

    Captivate v2.0
I'm duplicate slides that include an object strikes and I use these slides as always (static) screenshots. I reduced the timing, at a minimum, but a single tap (no doubt the final strike) sound plays with the slide. Can I remove the healthy tap of an existing slide water without having to deselect the option "see the typing? I need to show the text in the duplicated slide, but the only tap is a bit annoying. Thanks for any help.
    Ken.

Rick, I just want to be muted some slides (wiretap), but it appears that that is a choice all or nothing. I determined to re-record slides if necessary. It would be a great feature in a future version to be able to disable the sound of tap by individual slide.

    Thank you.

  • Captivate 3 and wink to adapt to application removed

    Hello

I have Captivate3, Vista, and it seems to have a problem described in the TechNote 1ba0d5a0 for Captivate 2 and 1.

"When you try to save a request, Adobe Captivate behaves unexpectedly. One of the following symptoms may appear:

    The application becomes reduced unexpectedly.
Slides recorded appear black in Adobe Captivate and in the output.
Maximize and minimize buttons are missing in Adobe Captivate.

The solution is to recreate a DAT file as described.

To correct this problem, re-create your configuration file of Adobe Captivate:

    Adobe Captivate output.
Navigate to the directory in Windows Explorer:
For Macromedia Captivate: C:\Documents and Settings\ [USER ACCOUNT] \Application Data\Macromedia\Captivate
    For Adobe Captivate 2: C:\Documents and Settings\ [USER ACCOUNT] \Application Data\Adobe\Captivate
    Rename the DAT file.
Restart Adobe Captivate; Adobe Captivate to create your configuration file.

However I don't find this in Vista. Anyone know?

    Hi all

I did a few tests more on that and the problem is when you use two monitors.

I created a few records with the "wink to the framework" on the other monitor. I then left Captivate and disconnected. Next day I went to a different site and just got my single laptop screen.

When I tried to do a new record, the nod to the framework was not visible, and when you use the snap to, the apllication recording disappears from the display. It seems that Captivate leaves the wink to the frame of the other monitor... even if you do not have another follow-up attached.

So it seems that if you use two monitors, make sure that you have the wink to the chassis on your primary monitor when you leave the Captivate.

  • InRangeCompareFunction

Can someone help me with the function Compare

If you run the VI and change the cursor.

Green will meet the white when white plot is superior to red. If you keep to increase white cursor position, the Green reaches its maximum value of 1.

Now when you reduce the white slider, I want in a way that the green path shouldn't diminish with white except if white is less red.

    If it worked for you?

If so, you should make the discussion as resolved.

If you use the Windows 7 operating system, I suggest you to reduce the recording speed and check if it helps:

    a. on the Tools menu, click Optionsand then click the devices tab.

    b. in devices, double-click the CD burner and then click the recording tab.

    c. in the write speed list, select a slower speed.
