Reduce the size of the particles over the life

Hi people.

We already have the ability to fade opacity of the particles over the life, (great!), but it would also be nice to reduce the scale of the particles over the life.

In this way, would be able to create a comet tail effect, once the discoloration and reduce the size.

I now use a layer of mixture for the scale of the particle, but it starts immediately to the issuer.

Good idea, thanks for the suggestion.

  • Battery blackBerry 9300 Smartphones suddenly reduces the life of 50% help!

Hi all, I'm a newbie here. I see there are thousands of entries and would appreciate if someone can tell me any information relating to the batteries, and how long they keep a charge. Since yesterday my 9300 needs to be charged at least 2 x and I almost used the phone at all. Other than the applications left on, is there any other information please someone can share with me. Thanks in advance. Sorry if this has been answered before, have not found the thread!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

The reason why it's hard to find the answer is because there is really no answer. Each person uses their device in a unique way, which results in the life of the battery which is unique to them. Some talk on the phone constantly, others not at all. Some use data services constantly, others not at all. Some close properly their applications so that they do not continue to use the resources, others let them run all the time. Thus, it is impossible to say what is 'correct' for you. Rather, over time, using your BB is a way relatively uniform, you will discover what the 'normal' battery life is for you. If you liquidate recharge every night, then you're going to fall in, I think that something like 90% of all BB users.

    Good luck!

  • How can I reduce the file size?

    Hi all

I'm running into a bit of a problem here, and I can't find a workaround. I was hired to create a few small icons for a TeamSpeak 3 channel and my files must be 16 x 16 pixels and under 8 KB size, otherwise TeamSpeak will not accept the picture.

I don't want to degrade the quality of the icons that I made, and the smallest I could get the file size was 16 k with 10 KB for JPG and PNG. All the icons are color. I can get a few simple icons to fall under 8KB, but there are a few others that I can't.

What is the best way to reduce the size of the file on the small photos, and how to get the file size less than 8 KB? TeamSpeak seems to accept any image format, so pretty much everything is allowed. This one is over my head when it comes to small technical details.

    Thank you in advance! (:

    Hi donaldgroomphotography,

Open the Image in Photoshop, change the size or pixels according to the requirement.

Then save for web on the file menu.

You can choose the JPEG format.

Let us know if it helps.

  • How can I reduce the size of the hard drive of my guest? (Ubuntu server)

    Hi all

When I built my (Ubuntu Server 12.04) VM guest on VMware ESXi 5.1, I was a little over zealous and create it with a 500 GB hard drive. I found now that a 100 GB would easily suffice.

I would like to reduce the hard disk up to 100 GB. How can I do this? It seems pretty obvious, how on Windows using the stand-alone converter but on Ubuntu server? I have no idea where to start and I can't find any info!

Also, could someone please explain to me why the real used on this prompt on the host drive is 500 GB? When you use VMWorkstation the right file size grows with disk space actually used the guest. Then under ESXi, the size of the file begins at the size you specified for the server. This can be changed?

    Thanks in advance.

Export OVF model is the one you want. This allows you to save the entire VM to one or several files (unique).

  • Cannot reduce the size of previews.lrdata

    Hi all

My Previews.lrdata folder is 45 GB. On a 500 GB SSD (end 2013 15 "MacBook Pro retina), it is a reasonable piece.

So I went through and used the menu option "ignore surveys 1:1..." in all the pictures that I do not expect to change again. Somewhat to my surprise, the Previews.lrdata folder did not file size of 1 byte. I used the option "optimize catalog", but that doesn't seem to do anything either.

I prefer not to empty the cache of the preview while suppressing the Previews.lrdata, regarding the last pictures I've not edited and yet I enjoyed having to previews pre-rendered 1:1.

I don't expect too much here? Should not be a relationship between throw me 1:1 previews and a reduction in the size of the Previews.lrdata folder?

    Thank you

So if I reduce the size of the standard preview for the screen resolution below, then Lightroom uses only brief (down-scales) 1:1...

    That is right.

    ntompson wrote:

What are the downsides to this?

No - your standard previews have been set too high before.

    ntompson wrote:

Why have a standard preview at all?

For reasons of performance - faster to enter/resize some smaller if he wants to.

    ntompson wrote:

Would I better off put the standard preview to the smallest possible size?

Lol if you do this, then Lr re - will make a brief 1:1 for fit view, even if a standard preview was already available (because it would be too small). Certainly, if the 1:1 Preview is already available, it wouldn't need the re - make, but if you are when they expire, it may not be available, and despite this, it takes more time to load/resize a larger and a smaller preview.

    ntompson wrote:

When I do the standard preview size change in Lightroom, then does invalidate all standard previews in my catalog? Does crank through and to regenerate all the standard previews to the new size?

No and no (but in my opinion, the user should be prompted to see if he/she would like to rebuild so size or quality changes).

In many cases, the difference over having a frame is too small or too large a framework, will be almost (or totally) without consequence. To be honest, I'm surprised that adobe exposed this option to the user, since most users have any idea what optimum setting should be. If I were Adobe, I suppose that Lr/hand-UI would be on the bigger screen and automatically size previews accordingly. Often when I mention this, people point out that the same catalog can also be used on a laptop, review how would be more optimal, and there are other considerations double monitor.., but hey - whatever...

PS - Lightroom creates different preview (up to) 7 sizes: from 1:1 to little thumb. When he creates a large preview (1:1 or standard), he created all the smaller previews also, in halfening size. It is very fast, and no doubt explains the reason why it will not throw a 1:1 if next (standard) would be more than half it's size (it's actually only create 6 previews in this case: 1:1 through thumb, there is no big standard preview size you specified in this case) (, or if you prefer another way of seeing things: the preview of 1:1 is your largest standard preview).

If you want to better understand what is stored for previews, you can play with the PreviewExporter plugin I wrote (free) - it allows you to specify at what level (1-7) to preview you want to export, and if you enable verbose logging will provide info on what was available, and what level of preview has been exported. Here is an excerpt of "post-process action" (export filter) UI:

  • How to reduce the size of the virtual disks on Fusion 3.1.2 my W7 64 bit

A few months ago, I created a DVD install a virtual machine in Windows 7 64-bit 120 GB. I never checked the disk space until a couple of weeks and now I have two hard files over 160GB with a .vmwarevm. I have never created all the files component snap so I am confused how it happened and how to fix this?  After all, a MacBook Pro's as much disk space

OK it looks like the Virtual Machine on which you have is "/ users/dbaps/Virtual Machines.localized/Springer31.vmwarevm" and it is only using the Springer31.vmdk virtual hard disk that is in the Document Virtual Machine Package, so I can't tell you where both .vhd files of ~ 165GB come so you'll have to deal with this on your own.  You have Parallels installed at a certain time or do you have them created with Windows 7?

If you have VMware Tools installed and no snapshots you can use VMware Tools in the OS invited to shrink the virtual hard drive and it should reduce the size of that Windows Explorer shows how much is used.

Also, you have assigned 4 CPU cores of the Virtual Machine and over the commitment of the processor cores will slow things down so I would attribute no more then two and that you set for 1/2 of RAM to the Virtual Machine host and this of course uses more then what you have assigned, some for the purpose of merger of VMware and some video RAM so you use really ~4.4GB of RAM just for VMware Fusion and the Virtual Machine.

A simple "save under" erases all information cancellation that could have been implemented over time.

If you * really positive * want to clean up your file something suspicious, export to INX (or, using CS4 to IDML) and opens. Save a copy of your original file somewhere else first, because this isn't a 100% free error warranty procedure.

If your file size is always beyond a reasonable limit: you have all images incorporated, rather than as a link? (Just don't do it.)

You have pictures with a very small (72 dpi) "ppi" real and a high (300 dpi) "effective ppi"? Who can make the images of very large preview - and they * are * included in your file ID.

  • In any case to reduce the size of the mouse?

    Hello

I'm editing a movie and trying to move the arrow of the mouse scroll bar. But there seems to be an invisible barrier that will not allow me to move the mouse over the scroll bar. It's all around the screen as well. I can't the mouse cursor within 0.5 cm of the edge of the screen.

I assume that this is because the mouse is located in an area of 32 x 32 and once the area hit the edge of the screen it does not further. A way to reduce the size of the area or the mouse?

    Thank you

    Julian

    I had the same problem.

Indeed, you have the mouse to hang slightly off the page.

What you do is change the type of mouse that has the active "point" of the mouse on the right side instead of the left side of his little box. (He is one who is a pinch of hand to the right).

Move the pointer is active where you want. Right click on the mouse, properties, replace it with a normal pointer... and voila...

Don't forget if you tap this mouse again to move it, happen again all the way inside the screen, and you will have to redo this procedure little.

  • How to reduce the size of the font by 1?

    Hi all

I have a page that contains the form and report parts in there. I want to reduce the size of the font of the entire page by 1. Someone you suggest how can I achieve this easily? Should we change the code in the Templates? If this is the case, I need to change the model page or templates etc in the region?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Kind regards

    Hi Hari,

In addition, in some cases, another style will override it. You can force a style by adding! important after him - this gives it precedence over other styles for the same setting (unless it, too, has! important). Then you can try:

    <style type="text/css">
    * {font-size:8pt!important}
    &tl;/style>

How can I reduce the size of TIFF picture files below 20 MB

    Export to JPEG

    Or of cultures

or export with smaller dimensions in pixels

The reason why you use a TR TIFF not compressed, so there is no loss of data - so it is very broad - must either compressed (JPEG format for example) where there are some (very minor I you use low compression - high quality) or delete some data in order to reduce its size

  • How to stop reducing the size to straighten photos?

Opening has been really great for the recovery of the photos. I understand how to do this in pictures, but my problem is it strongly seems to reduce the size of the photo. Opening did not do that; It simply reduced all that has been cropped in smoothing. However, Photo reduces the overall size of the picture when recording far beyond what has been slightly cropped.

Is there a way to avoid this?
    To give.

Thanks for any help you might be able

Straightening (obviously) to crop the image - change the in = size of mage - beyond that, there is no loss, as all changes to Photos - why do you think that the image goes beyond the necessary culture?

I have a file that is too big to 650 MB. It is mostly text. It seems to me that if I could have something in layers? How can I reduce the size of the file.

If it's really just the text that seems really strange.  I repeat what you have already done, copy items to a tim in a new file, and then save after each copy and monitor the size of files.  When you see the file size jump exceptionally fast, do NOT save the new file, and focus on the issue.  What are the benefits?  You paste images into a table as a background fill?

If you did and you want photos, try to reduce the size of the file by using the menu item "file > advanced > reduce file size...» » :

  • Photos: Simple way to reduce the size of the image

I often need to reduce the size of the screenshots. You are looking for an extension or an app that would allow me to do. It's a simple task, but I was not able to find a way to solve this problem without export, then import the image. There are many applications that allow cropping images, but the apps/extensions similarly dedicated screenshot cannot reduce the size.

The feature I need is essentially the only preview on Mac offers under the menu set the size either in percentage or by the change of specific pixel size. An extension that can reduce, and then save the image under a copy within the Photos app would be preferable. An application that can access an image in Photos, reduce the size, and then save it in Photos would be as good.

    Any suggestions?
