Reducing the timeline?

Hi all

I have AE CS3 and have a layer for long 30secs. I'm trying to grasp the end of the layer in the timeline to reduce it to 10 seconds.

How to grasp the end of the layer in the timeline and the scale again?

I can do for the beginning but not the end!

Thank you.

Your layer extends beyond the timeline. [I suggest that you use the Alt/Option key +] to adjust the out point of the CTI (current time marker).

  • Adobe CS5 yet - should reduce the timeline image to fit screen

Hi and thanks in advance for your help.

I have 6 hours of talking heads at a conference not 1920x1080P.  As I make DVDs of video I find much of the image is 'cut' or outside the frame when played on a TV.  I play on a 65-inch DLP wide screen that is 'enhanced' 1080 p, 32 inch widescreen LCD that is not "upscaled" and a DVD player portable and all have the same effects.

Each speaker is on a separate timeline.  I have change the timing of output to 90% of the height and 80% of the width to retain the greater part of the image (and their thin a little) when the DVD is played.  I have pre-made of timelimes to 720 x 480. MP4 files and import those into still make the DVD.

If I do not reduce the percent image in the timeline, I get a fat looking for speaker with a lot of the image outside of the visible area.  Am I to compensate for something I'm doing wrong or is - this typical?  I understand the output for TV a visible 'safe' areas, but I thought which did apply to the new TV technology during DVD playback.

I appreciate any help or comments, you can offer.

    Thank you

  • A way to reduce the timeline in terms of timing, as a "Dope Sheet Animation"?

Hello, I'm used to other packages of Animation, where after I did all my keyframe animation, I can easily adjust the timings by simply gripping the keyframes and scaling them in our out.

The animation to run faster or slower based on how you size of course.

Maya called a "Dope sheet" and is a lifeline... Animate CC offers something like this?

This is one of the characteristics of the motion tweens, as opposed to classic tweens. If you have created a path many keyframe and find that it is too slow or too fast, you can enter the last keyframe and the Tween full scale. Other keyframes will move proportionally.

If you use Classic tweens, you can choose between keyframes and use F5 to insert or SHIFT - F5 to remove additional images.

  • Is there a way to reduce the Captivate 5 timeline?

The slides of my project have usually just 2 or 3 layers. I would like to reduce the height of the timeline, so I have more room for the slide, but I can't do anything lower than about 6 layers high. Is there a way to make it any smaller?

    Hello

No it's the minimum height. Because sometimes in the same slide master docking station, notes slide and effects panels are anchored, these panels would be too small I think. But you can reduce the entire dock, keeping only the tabs if you want to.

  • iMovie 10.1.2 adjust the size of the clip in the timeline

When I move a clip in the timeline, the size is reduced to a point where I can't move titles correctly.  I tried the setting of the slider, but it does not affect the components of the package.

    Hi, David,.

You use the scroll bar that you get when you click the gear in the top middle of your screen.  This bar only works on clips in the clips pane, not in the time line.

The slider beside the button settings in the middle right side of your screen expands the time line so that the clips in it are spread out more.

Also, if you click on the settings button, a dialog box appears that contains a scroll bar to adjust the size of the clip in the timeline.

    Hope this helps,

  • My video clips become unreadable once inserted into the timeline.

Hello! I have problems with Windows Movie Maker 2.1.

I am doing a video review and I've set up titles, narration and audio with great success, but when it came to insert video clips I hit a problem.  The clips are all perfectly clear and readable when seen separately in Windows Media Player or Windows Movie Maker Preview Panel like separate imported clips.

However, as soon as I put on the timeline of the movie they will completely blurry and unreadable.  Video clips have been made using FRAPS, are saved in. AVI format, and Windows Movie Maker are Bit Rate: 1411 kbps; Size: 1.14 GB; Width: 1280; Size: 1024; Bit rate: ; Frame rate: 30 fps

I tried fiddling with the properties of the video and the Compatibility tab settings, but nothing seems to make no difference to the quality of the final result.  It seems that the script of the film can be reduce the 1280 x 1024 resolution to something like 640 x 514, but it doesn't seem to be a way to confirm or change.

Yes, the display resolution is reduced when we look at
    the script/Storyboard... (especially noticeable when
view full screen)... This should not affect your filled
    project.

Might be interesting to try to do a test and save the file in the
WMV or DV - AVI format movie to see if the result is
    Acceptable.

To save in a .wmv movie file...
Type of... CTRL + P (or go to...) File / save movie file)
to open the wizard movie recording.
    Choose... My computer.
    Next /.
Enter a name and a location.
    Next /.
ICT... "Best quality for my computer.
    Next /.
Wait while the movie is saved.
    Finishing...

To save a DV - AVI movie file...
    (and other options)
Type of... CTRL + P (or go to...) File / save movie file)
to open the wizard movie recording.
    Choose... My computer.
    Next /.
Enter a name and a location.
    Next /.
    Show more choices.
    Other parameters.
Open the window of the droplet and choose... DV - AVI.
    Next /.
Wait while the movie is saved.
    Finishing...

If you have problems during registration, there may be a format
compatibility issue... you will need to convert your AVI clips
before you import into Movie Maker WMV format.

  • How to reduce the volume of an audio clip in CC animate to HTML5 output?

I'm working on a presentation of 2 minutes in CC to animate. There is a voiceover track and a piece of background music, both playing for the entire animation sequence. I'm trying to reduce the level of the volume of the music track that the voice-over track is the center of attention. Unfortunately, when you select the piece of music, the Edit function is grey on in the Properties window.

I tried to change the original music track in GarageBand, reduce the overall volume, but when imported into the document, Animate, the volume level seems to be the same as the way it replaced.

What are the options I have to reduce the volume of the music track?

When you import H.264 then animate on top of it, the video does not get exported. You must use something like the first to combine animation with video exported.

For sound, look in the publication settings and adjust sound on Raw, stereo 16-bit, 44.1 KHz for the flow and the sound event.

The noise is in the timeline of your movie, or is he played with the code? If you do anything with the code, worked for how long the entire animation will take in seconds and use it as the length of the export. If it's only the scenario animation, select the option to forward last image.

Try a shorter export, to see if its exports ok.

Once you have your video ready for YouTube, take the file in Adobe Media Encoder and use a high quality H.264 preset and upload this new file.

Put this in a box 1 layer to improve the quality of the video:

    internship. Quality = "best";

  • PNG image does not appear in the timeline in first Pro CC

    Hi all!

I have created many images PNG for InDesign. I exported with transparent background. When I import into first and I double-click on it in the project, they appear as a source, and you can see the text that I created in the foreground and the background transparent. All good up to this point. However, when I add it to the timeline, the text (foreground) disappears and you will see that the background transparent.

Why is this? How can I get the text in the PNG appears in the timeline panel? I want to use the png as overlays on images I have, but they don't show up.

As you can see in my photo below, on the left you can see a transparent background and text on the lower left corner. When I add the PNG to the timeline, then the text disappears and you will see that the background transparent.

  • Interpret the images to get slow mo vs speed setting in the timeline

I shot a bunch of video for a 'live' style music video I put together. This will be my first of those, so it's a little experience. I shot it at 60 fps (59.94) with the intention of the final product being a video of 30 frames per second or maybe even 24 fps, but with all these additional images to create some nice slow mo here and there. The problem is that a lot of it has been saved just all at once, so there may be parts of a clip I want at regular speed and in the same clip I want to be slow. I might want to same ramp from one speed to another, but that's another question.

I know two ways to get slow mo:

    (1) interpret images such as 29.97 or 23.9something to get the slower speed

    (2) changing the speed in the timeline panel

Is there a difference between the two methods? The first is more pain because it means I have to reproduce each of the clips if I want to use two clips of normal and slow speed. But if the other is using an interpolation rather than the actual recorded frames, then I would rather have the hassle of the first method. If it is not, however, does mean that I can safely use keyframes to ramp from one speed to the other? Thank you!

It there is a difference between the two.  Interpretation to match the settings of the sequence will show all images, no interpolation.  These are the best results you can get.

In setting sequence at any frame rate, not corresponding to the sequence will show interpolation, and which includes speed bumps.  In the past these results were not as good, but with the addition of optical flow, that difference in large part has been reduced to nothing.

My advice would be to test you each method, make observations, and then you will know which is best for a given element.

  • Power point slides GET small when put in the timeline - a flaw in the Premier Pro?

I posted a question about a week ago, but maybe that someone else is now online with an easy solution.  Otherwise it is just a defect in Premier Pro.  When I drag the PowerPoint slides in the source monitor, they are big and fill the frame as much as possible.  Vacant space is on the left and the right because the blades are about 4 x 3 and HiDef video is 16 x 9.  But there is no extra space on the top and the bottom.  As soon as I drag them in the timeline, they become smaller and there is more space on the top and the bottom.

When I asked about this a week ago the only solution offered was to blow up slides in photoshop, that I did not and do not want to buy.  But doing that would reduce the resolution.  Other video editing systems don't do this and make as big as possible PowerPoint slides.  If this seems to be a flaw unless someone knows how to solve this problem.

Slides imported via Open Office Impress (like PowerPoint) are the appropriate size, but Impress screwed up a lot of slides, so I can't use it.

    Thanks for your comments.

Go to the first preferences and check the box to check for "scale to the chassis', or right-click of clips already on the timeline and check scale to the chassis. The problem is that the photos that you bring in are smaller than the frame size, for example, if your sequence is 1920 x 1080 and the slides are 1024 x 768, that's why they are too small in the sequence. The Prefs setting does not affect the clips already imported, starts only work on imports again after you change the setting, so you don't have the manual option.

  • File AVI DV 9 GB (45 minutes) shows only 02:50 minutes in the timeline.

Hi, I have loaded an AVI DV 9 GB file (45 minutes) in Premiere Pro CS6, but it shows a few minutes 02:50 in the timeline. I loaded the files a lot more time in my calendar and edited without any problem. I also tried to decode the AVI file, but this reduces the quality too. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

Thanks John, I solved using the original soundtrack of the DV with WinDV. The new AVI file gives no problem (even if the installation program looks the same). I still don't know why the old 9 GB AVI file did not load completely within the editing timeline.

  • First items 12, insertion of Photos in the timeline, using transitions, insertion of music

I recently spent the first items 8 to 12, after discovery of this 'expert' looked allot more like what I was used to I was able to start a new project. However, I don't consider myself 'expert '.

That said I have a few questions:

    1. I used to be able to insert pictures and rearrange them in the 'scene' line, I don't see this feature in the first 12 then uses the "calendar" that is there. However I can not insert pictures or move around easily, I get my clips reduce in size. How do I insert new pictures or move them?
    2. Transitions seemed to have been greatly reduced by the availability of them, are they "left in disgrace", I had put a transition inbetween all my clips in my previous projects with 8. Allot of them were simply the function 'clear '. What is recommended with 12?
    3. I didn't learn to add music to this project however noticed that he has assigned different models available. But I want to be able to add my own music, can you give me tips on 'how to', I just go to 'add media' and get them off my computer and add it to the audio line?

    Thank you advance.

I don't know why these photos should be reduced in size. It should be the same as in your earlier version, that is, as long as you hold down the Alt key on the main keyboard to the computer, with your mouse cursor you drag new file location in the Timeline. Some people like to use the CTRL key instead of the ALT key. I prefer the ALT key.

I prefer the Expert workspace rather than the quick in version 12, but you can always switch the images in the areas of speed film with a click and drag left or right depending on the case. So, I'm not sure what ran you into quick workspace in this regard.

Transitions seemed to have been greatly reduced by the availability of them, are they "left in disgrace", I had put a transition inbetween all my clips in my previous projects with 8. Allot of them were simply the function 'clear '. What is recommended with 12?

There are many Transitions in the transition tab when you are in space Expert, much less in the fast workspace. That's what you should see in version 12 experts/area of work/Transitions

This is what you had in version 8.0/8.0.1 under wipes for the timeline.

    3. I did not add music to this project however noticed that he has assigned different models available. But I want to be able to add my own music, can you give me tips on 'how to', I just go to 'add media' and get them off my computer and add it to the audio line?

Same thing as before. Add Media/files and active projects/folders (if Expert workspace). Fast working space that does not 'intermediate' active in the project. Therefore, add media/files and folders / and live in a space scene on film. If you have iTunes music, she may have to convert it to .mp3 or .wav (even again as before).

However, if you are a user of SmartSound soundtrack, the SmartSound function is passed in version 12, which has her counterpart, on the Audio tab of the scores of music and sound effects that end up on the timeline in .wav files. If you have old SmartSound music, they need to be converted to .wav and then files the first 12 items add media.

Please check the above. For any questions or if you need more information, do not hesitate to ask.

    Thank you.

  • My sound levels barely increased at all when setting in the timeline panel

    Hello.

I'm new to Premiere Pro (of the CPF).

When I case to increase noise levels using the yellow that handles live on the actual audio track in the timeline, they increase only by a very small amount when you drag 'up '. If I slide down, I can reduce them to zero (-60 dB), but I can't increase them significantly greater than 12.

I have other titles who desperately need to be stronger. I tried increasing using 'Amplify' hearing, but disrupts the audio to make it sound sounds garbled and 'underwater '.

I hope there is a fix for this.

    Thank you.

    Try:

Right click on the audio clip in the timeline panel and increase the Gain.

This will increase the range available with the 'elastic '.
