Reduction in the size of the film when burned on a DVD

Hello

I'm using EPA 11. Several times I have copied TV programs of my Sky + rewritable disc on DVD through my DVD recorder/player, here of EPA on my PC where I change them - usually remove ads etc. - and then they burned on a blank DVD to appear on my TV. Basic, simple stuff and no problem until today when I tried to do it with a movie about three hours in length. Here is the chronology of the events:

1. the film when shown on television in my Sky box + was the normal size, i.e. it filled (widescreen);

2. Once burned on a DVD - RW and aired on television, it was always in the same dimensions, filling the screen.

3. when it is copied from the DVD - RW for EPA on my PC it still has plenty of screen size.

4. After mounting on the EPA, he was always in the same dimensions;

5. after use of the EPA to burn it to a DVD-R, it was always OK to display on the PC by a media player. but

6. when the DVD-R has been shown on my TV via the DVD player, the image had a black border around it and was about half the size of the original. Change the ratio of the image makes no difference: the border remained and the image is smaller than the original.

Any ideas, please?

Thank you

Ian

What version of Premiere Elements and what operating system is involved?

1. the film when shown on television in my Sky box + was the normal size, i.e. it filled (widescreen);

Just what is normal dimensions - 720 x 480, 16:9, 16:9 1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080 16:9 or others?

2. Once burned on a DVD - RW and aired on television, it was always in the same dimensions, filling the screen.

Where you burn on DVD-VIDEO to DVD - RW disc, and what was the specific burn screen 16:9 or 4:3? You deal with the usual 720 x 480/720 x 576 resolutions or a custom resolution?

3. when it is copied from the DVD - RW for EPA on my PC it still has plenty of screen size.

What was the predefined project used for this project? Please explain "copy" - after ensuring the good the project 4:3 or 16:9 preset, do you insert your

Disk DVD - RW in the burner tray and then select Add media or get media/DVD camera or computer drive/video importing and end with

Creating files video elements timeline DVD (VOB)? A project 4:3 or 16:9 at this point? And, what have you used to burn to and

its setting - publish + share or share/Disc/DVD with preset = DVD Dolby NTSC_Widescreen or something else?

4. After mounting on the EPA, he was always in the same dimensions;

And what were the dimensions.

5. after use of the EPA to burn it to a DVD-R, it was always OK to display on the PC by a media player. but

Please confirm that you use here - what project screening and what burn specific selection Publish + share or share/Disc/DVD - NTSC_Widescreen DVD Dolby or something else?

6. when the DVD-R has been shown on my TV via the DVD player, the image had a black border around it and was about half the size of the original. Change the ratio of the image makes no difference: the border remained and the image is smaller than the original.

Assuming that the you're in a position of workflow for the DVD-VIDEO playback on DVD-R disc, what are the properties of the VTS_01_1.VOB in the VIDEO_TS folder on the DVD-R disc. Properties see audio video Media Info (tree) of the program. If Windows http://sourceforge.net/projects/mediainfo/

Just be careful to download and install choices so that you don't receive any unwanted baggage that might come with MediaInfo.

There are several places along the way where you could have ran into the parameters of a project and export settings conflict. And we must not throw a question of TV settings.

Please consider.

    I'd be surprised if it always worked this way. In any case...
    Perhaps you could use a DVD double layer if your burner will handle it.

  • I have a cycle recorded a vocal performance. I don't know how to get the anchor point to the film when the singer arrives early or sings after the cycle. Can anyone help?

    Loptic pro x. i. I cycle recorded a singer I just can't find a way to easily get small pieces of audio when the singer arrives early or sing a note sustained beyond the cycle. CAN ANYONE SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS PLEASE?

    Just drag the right or left side of the region be expanded to include most of the voice.

    While cycling (replace) each record cycle is in fact only the region of an audio file that contains all the audio recording of the entire global cycle.    Then you cycle 2-3 bar record and do you 5 times counting from 1 to 20 in the microphone... Each region will be only 1 respective bar where the recording of the cycle started while you were, however each region refers to an audio file that contains all the numbers from 1 to 20.

    Then expanding to the right or left side of the region - will provide you with the early start or finish late audio.

    Same thing for taking records, except that you must be in edit mode to manipulate it start/end region.

  • I get "staircase effects" in the picture when you write a DVD of a source project high-definition.

    I created a video project of 31 minutes, using HDV video and high resolution still images.  The project is written on disk Blu - ray is perfect.  When I write the same project to DVD, the image shows a "staircase effects".  In the old days this could be remedied, in some cases, changing the order of the fields.  This option is grayed out on this project.  How could I get a better DVD product?

  • Select the pictures to burn to a DVD?

    I have several photos of hundreds of holiday in a separate in my pictures folder file and want to put everything on a DVD.  How can I select all at the same time instead of highlighting of each of them with the CTRL key?

    Open the folder... and go... Edition / select all...

    Or... Select (highlight) a file name, and then type... CTRL + A.. o select everything in the folder.

    Could not locate the Edition/select all buttons?  I have all my photos in separate folders in the folder listed as picturesWhen, I opened the folder that contains all my Grand Canyon photos I want to put it on DVD, I see change not a button?  If I go to your second option and highlight the folder of Grand Canyon, where I type ctrl + a?  I'm not for smart computor!  Thanks for your help.

    Open the Grand Canyon > click one of the pictures, one > hold CTRL ur > press > all the photos in the folder will be "shaded". This means they are all selected > now just click Add or open and all you photos should now be "added" in WDVD Maker.

    WARNING: I would be careful about the total number of images imported in terms of GB or MB. The Windows DVD could balk on the huge size.

  • Increase the volume of the files to burn to CD?

    I have an mp3 file that I need to burn it to a CD using Media Player, but there was a problem with the recording level and who speaks can hardly be heard with the completely mounted volume on my speakers and multimedia player.  It of better when I play with the SRS WOW effects, but is it possible to add these effects or to increase the volume of this file, when I burn it to the CD is strongest when played?

    CatherineS

    No, Audacity is definitely the way forward as its a million times better than WMP audio editing. Work a little more maybe, but well worth it.

    You can add effects with Audacity, VST and other.

    In WMP you can normalize the volume when burning (Options > burn > you will see the option on this tab).

    Personally I would not trust him, I use Goldwave and sometimes daring.

  • Need help to make the movie to burn to dvd with Microsoft movie maker

    I don't know whether or not we have a DVD burner on our computer. It only gives me the ability to burn on a dvd when I try to publish a movie in movie maker from microsoft. is this in any way about this? I can download something and or transfer the work I have already done to media player somehow and do it? Also is there any kind of CD that I can burn that would play the pictures and sound on the dvd player?

    To burn a movie to a DVD and be able to play on a normal DVD player, you need WindowsDVD Creation.
    Windows DVD creation is included in the system IF you have either
    Vista Home Premium, Ultimate
    Windows 7 Edition Home Premium or higher.

    If your version of Windows is not one of the above, you will need to google for a 3rd party DVD Maker.

  • Flash CS5.5 freeze problem when the film test.

    So, I worked on a new animation for several months and I've encountered a problem.

    Details: After exporting swf by testing the full movie, it plays the first four scenes, and then after that it crashes.
    Symbols to continue, but the film does not progress past this stage.
    I cut the scene, removed my vcam filters and even tried to run on an older version of Flash.
    I have read a few forums of people with similar problems and the general response is that they corrupted in their library files.
    Corrupted in the library files apparently have a "Preview not available" sign when you click on it in the library.
    After going through all my library items (this is more than in 2000) I do not have with this sign.

    I really need help I worked real hard on this project.

    I recently switched from IE to Mozilla Firefox, mainly because it is so much faster. I don't use IE any more. I deleted from my computer. Ever since then with Mozilla, when I try to move the film forward or backward on NetFlix, everything freezes. If I persist, I get an error "running scripts" and a suggestion that I stop to run. When I do so it seems (?) fix the problem. It wasn't a problem with IE.
