I do not know what problems this data safe service causing you but I don't know many other people including myself have had a problem horribly unknowing with him causing horrible pop and suppress noise while trying to take advantage of the audio and video on our systems. (mine being a portable XPS) I tried to remedy this for weeks as some uninstall said, that has not fixed the audio problem.

What I didn't know is that delldatavault.exe works as a service in the background. I discovered this while watching my resource monitor and watching this service cause serious spikes in the CPU activity and disk which were specific moments in audio/video interference would occur.

Completely disabling the service altogether, noted finally my headache...

    Thank you

    Hi KVAUGHANS,

I ask you to please try the following steps:

1 wait for the message to appear.

    2. open "Start Task manager" (Ctrl/Alt/Del)

    3. on the process tab (should be set by default to that) scroll down or search for a file name

called "Toaster.exe * 32. The description should say "Dell DataSafe Local Backup"

    4. right click on the name of the file

    5. you can select 'End process' which turns off the message until the next time that you log in to your laptop.

    Get rid of the message:

    6. Select 'Open file location' instead of 'end process '.

    7. a new window will open and it should automatically highlight a name of file, called "Toaster".

8 search for the file name "ToasterLauncher", which should be under the file "Toaster".

    9. make a right click the file and 'REMOVE' [you can delete all files 'toaster... »]

    10. you will need to restart your system.

If that's not enough, please reinstall using the Dell Data Safe Local backup I gave in the previous answer or remove this program if you do not want to back up.

    Good answer with the results.

  • Reference Dell backup and restore ends in error

I just bought and set up a 3847 Inspiron with Windows 8.1 and I tried to create the backup of the plant and the DVD of restoration but the regime ended with a mistake twice.    It seems to happen at the end (ie. left 2 seconds) and then gives me an error indication.  It seems that he should try to check the DVD but it never does at this stage.  Does anyone know what gives?  The whole DVD is bad?

In the case of only 1 system and no upgrade to the Premium edition, they are equivalent. The hot spare requires an external hard drive and backup of the plant requires a USB flash drive. I have not tried an SD card for a backup of the plant just a bootable USB for the backup of the plant.

The hot spare is even as backup from the factory to the exception, you can use 1 external drive to factory settings for up to 10 systems Dell... If you use the Premium edition, you can get more advanced features like a custom backup and can set it to backup continuous data.

  • How do uninstall you the Data Vault?

I've had my XPS 8500 for almost 4 years now. Recently, watching my reliability monitor, I see that there is an update of the Data Vault DELL to update to version 4.3.7.0. I don't really know what actually does the Data Vault, and have never made use of it. However, since this update I now get pips and short breaks when you watch videos or listen to music. On the net to research the culprit seems to be the Dell Data Vault hogging system resources briefly. I can't find the Data Vault in my list of programs, or looking DellDataVault.exe lift anything. But it is listed twice in the services in windows task manager and shown as running. So, how I uninstall it?

    Thank you

    Bill

Go to C:\Program Files\Dell\DellDataVault and delete the Data Vault of Dell and Dell Data Vault Wizard applications or move somewhere in case you want them back. Access services: Task Manager and stop them.

    Reinstall Wndows.

Reinstall all your programs from the original media or downloaded files you have saved on an external drive.

Reinstall all your data from the backups that you made on an external drive.

If you have not, you're out of luck.

    Hello

See if any body can help here... I get this blue screen:

You will need to use the tools of recovery on your installation media. If you do not have any installation media (like a disk or a USB device), contact your system administrator or the computer manufacturer.

Press ESC for UEFI firmware settings

    ******

First of all, I could enter option 11 and run the factory reset, I was so happy because I thought it won't be easy... but then after I did the factory reset... I get this blue screen. If I press ESC I get into this next screen:

    F1 system information

    F2 System Diagnostics

    F9 boot device Options

    F10 BIOS Setup

    F11 recovery system

    ENTER - continue starting.

This is what happens when I click on one of these options:

F1, I enter the system of information without any problem, then I click on to continue and return to the screen last... so I press F2 and super, I'm able to run the Test of memory and hard drive check 100% without any problem in one of those who, after that I'm done with my tests I press exit and I'm back to F1 , F2, menu etc... now I want to try F9, F10 or F11. disappointment in this option 3 I go back to the blue screen described at the beginning of this post. (I already plug in a USB key with a bootloader, which works perfectly)

so I can't do anything, nothing at all! crazzines.

So what I did to check why I can't enter BIOS or at least to boot from my USB... I removed the lid of my laptop botton and removed the hard drive and is then, how I was or I am able to log in the BIOS - I made the changes to start USB first, then the HD and that's how I was able to boot from USB - BUT if I connect the hard drive back I'm not able to enter the BIOS or boot from USB - so basically I'm stuck in this blue screen and I can't boot from a USB key, if I connected HD... I can't use any option... no BIOS, nothing... So yet again, I disconnect the HD.

    This is one:

    HP ENVY Sleekbook TS 4

If you can't access BIOS with the HDD connected, you certainly won't be able to start on the recovery USB. This is indicative of a failing hard drive.

Install a new drive hard and then start on the recovery key.

  • Reference Dell M1000e + aggregator MI/O port mapping

    Hi all

I intend to install a new chassis Dell M1000e with Dell M/o aggregator. During the time of solution, I have a few questions about correspondences between the physical uplink with NDC blade ports ports. A Please check the config below and specify my queries?

    My hardware:

    • 1 x Dell M1000e
    • 2 x M i/o aggregator (A1 & A2)
    • 16 x M630 Blade (Qlogic 57840 S ANC four ports card)

    Reference DELL M/o aggregator:

    (reserved for Future use) module QSFP + 2 ports (Port No1:33 - 36 & No2:37 Port-40)

I want to use these two modules for my blades 4-port Quad and the confusion I had, how to associate these 16 ports (8 ports of each module) to the server blade and the amount of bandwidth I will get by blade with redundancy.

Module 4-port SFP + 10 GbE (Flexi-O of the Bay) (Port No.: 41-48)

Module 4-port 2/4/8 Gb FC FlexIO (Flexi Bay 1) (Port No.: 49-56)

FYI - I would like to install ESXi 6.0 on all blades

    Thank you!!

    Vinay

Oriented server ports are configured automatically as part of the aggregation of links groups if the server is configured for the LACP Protocol. Static GAL is not supported.

You will use the segregation network VLAN. A VLAN for network traffic and the other for the CF. Here are the commands to configure interfaces for different VLANS.

    Unidentified:

Dell (conf) # tengigabit interface 0/16

    Dell(conf-if-te-0/16) # vlan unidentified 4

    Output Dell(conf-if-te-0/16) #.

    Tag:

Dell (conf) # tengigabit interface 0/16

    The tag vlan Dell(conf-if-te-0/16) # 4

    Output Dell(conf-if-te-0/16) #.

Traffic from servers will follow the path of the VLAN. For example, if an internal server, facing the port is set to VLAN 4, that traffic will be transmitted on the uplink port which has also set to VLAN 4.

By default, all external ports are placed in a single whole LAG. However, you can change the configuration to support several shifts of uplink. Page 159 of guys configuration takes you step by step on setting up several shifts of uplink.

The aggregator automatically configures to match the FCoE parameters used in the switches to which it connects through its uplink ports. FIP snooping is automatically configured on an aggregator. Automatically configured port channel (LAG 128) works CWF port mode. See page 86 for more information and examples of config.

For redundancy, you could stack the units together. 241 page details the process of stacking.

Page 54 of 102 of the Guide blade IO has one other diagram that details more internal server port mapping for each blade.

  • Reference Dell Dock... Gone

I have a new Inspiron running Windows 7, last night I pastors a updated Java and then got the message that "the Dell Dock has encountered a problem and needs to close...". "Please talk to Dell this problem" it says an error report is created, but when I try to send the error report it is "Threr was an error please try again" at the same time, there is one box that appears telling that "Dell Dock stopped working Windows is trying to find a solution to this problem.

I tried to do a system restore, but the only date I have to restore it is this morning, and the Dock was not working at the time

I also downloaded the Dell Dock and installed it but no go...

I've never done a factory restore and don't know if the lack of the Dell dock is worth, could the update of Java have caused to this?  Someone at - it a fix for this or have any ideas?

I found this on a forum for Microsoft Windows.  AND THIS MARKET!

    In Windows 7 the file

    "C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Stardock_Corporation\DellDock.exe_Url_zerevpyj2cwvrpvdb3tli4avbxq3yq3p\2.5.0.1527\user.config.

tends to get corrupted, expecially when an abnormal termination of Windows or loaded is stuck.

Remove all the "C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Stardock_Corporation' directory and restart DellDock.

The directory will get regenerated and the program is running.

You don't need to uninstall or reinstall anything.
