Reference Dell n5010 laptop DC Jack short-circuit/no load

Hello guys, I was just with my laptop the other day with the charger plugged in, and then suddenly bright laptop computer charger is turned off and the perception only. (I've included a video that shows what happens when the charger is plugged). I tried to disassemble the laptop and I checked the DC Jack, but it is nice, that is nothing unusual can be seen

I tried the charger on the other computers dell laptops and it works very well. I also tried another charger Dell on my laptop, but also, it loads the laptop, instead the same thing happens that led of the charger will turn off. I need to reconnect the power cord so that the light on again.

I think that the problem lies in the laptop. But the laptop works fine on battery. I am also attaching a youtube link) (www.youtube.com/watch

Hi Aparichit4evr

Please write to us.

By looking at the symptoms the issue seems to be with the motherboard, like the adapter light Cup once connected to the machine.

If your machine is under warranty, we can fix it.

  • HP Pavilion G6 2005ax: laptop card mother short circuit?

Hey everybody. My laptop does not charge and I am also unable to turn the laptop on the power chord. Power adapter works fine (tested on another laptop). The laptop works fine on battery. I took it to a service center (not an authorized) and the guy told me the motherboard has a short circuit and needs to be replaced.

I want to know if it is correct because the laptop works fine when using the battery. Unfortunately, the battery is dead so I can't use the laptop more. Would it be a problem with the DC Jack or a motherboard problem?

    Thank you.

Yes, it is likely to be the CC which is a separate replaceable part much cheaper than a motherboard. I would certainly try a new plug before as I have assumed that it is the motherboard. Our links are low right now, but check in a day or two for the part number and advice where to buy it.

  • Reference Dell E1505 laptop - not recognizing external hard drive

I bought a Dell Inspiron E1505 year last with Windows Vista and just bought an external hard drive laptop ( http://www.toshibastorage.com/main.aspx?Path=StorageSolutions/ConsumerStorageProducts/NewUSBPortableExtHardDrive ) from Toshiba a few days ago.

My Inspiron E1505 does not recognize the drive.  I went to the Device Manager and the Toshiba drive does not appear.  However, the Toshiba portable external hard drive is recognized by my new laptop Dell XPS with Windows Vista.  I called Toshiba tech support and they said there is a problem with the operating system does not recognize the hard drive.  Anyone know how to solve this problem so that my Inspiron E1505 will recognize the Toshiba portable external hard drive?  The drivers are built into the Toshiba external hard drive so tehre are no drivers to download.

  • Reference Dell n5010 13 beep followed by 8 beep problem

When I turn on my laptop, I get the black screen with beep 13, after 13 beep it gives 8 beep and screen is black all the time, can someone help me solve this problem.

Please... help out me. What should you do?

Unplug the system, remove the battery and then take a look on the cable that connects the screen and card mother - disconnect and reconnect the ends (the motherboard and the rear of the Panel) and check for damage in the connectors and drivers - if it is damaged, replace it.

This may be enough to solve the problem.  If not, next would be to replace the display board - and if it does not, replace the motherboard.

  • New HDD in my Dell INSPIRON N5010 laptop, will I go to 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM HARD drive

I bought the DELL N5010 laptop about 4 years back, and currently it is more under warranty.
2 days back my hard drive crashed and could not start or install the OS as there are bad sectors on the hard drive has. I plan to buy a new hard drive.

Which one should I go for a 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM. I would go to 7200 RPM, as it is faster, but I read on the internet that the 7200 RPM generates more heat then 5400 RPM and my laptop is already facing heating problem. I had replaced the fan about 2 months as my laptop used to close because of the heat. The problem of heating has not changed, but laptop does not stop :)

Anyone using the DELL N5010 laptop with a 7200 RPM HARD drive and he's fine?

Any kind of recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Sach

Thanks for the recommendation. The sales in the shop man also recommended the same thing. I bought Seagate 5200 SSHD(Solid State Hybrid Drives) which is still better than the conventional hard drive. :)

    Kind regards

    Method 1:

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

  • My Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work.

Hello, my new Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work. I just got this thing out of the box.

I have updated the drivers and stuff, which doesn't seem to be the issue.

I tried several headphones as well, the helmet is not the issue.

I've isolated to this: when I plug in the headset, nothing happens. If I ask about 15-20 lbs of pressure, forcing the connector of headphones into the socket as hard as possible, the cell begins to recognize and the helmet works. As soon as I let go of the connector, the laptop will behave as if the device was disconnected.

    What should I do?

    What should I do?

Hello. Your options are to contact technical support to schedule a repair, or return it for a refund or Exchange if you are still in the short return period (twenty one days from the date on the invoice if you got from Dell).

  • Graphics chip for DELL N5010 Remove

    Hello

I have Dell n5010, I only used it for 1 year and some insects have disappeared in it. When I powered on the LCD was jerky and half of the LCD screen was not clear. I have disassembled and cleaned up. Yet the problem was there.

Then I re-Hot Chip AMD graphic 1 GB. That has worked well. But the problem came once again in a day. Once again I re-hot and it works. but it looks like it is not a permanent solution.

Now what I want is to remove the VGA chip. laptop will work with graphics card intel if I remove the VGA chip?

is there a way to disable it in the material?

There is no way to return to the system of embedded short video to replace the motherboard with the having an only Intel video - and while you could have a shop replace the video chip (it requires equipment specialized to this fact), it is likely to cost as much or more to replace the system board.

Boards with integrated video go for about $100;  you will need a new heatsink to go with the jury (another $20 or more);  It is much cheaper than a replacement of the chip.

  • short circuit in power CC connect Pavilion dv5-1002nr

I bought my son a Pavilion dv5-1002nr in August 2008. The battery started to not hold a charge. It seems that there is a short circuit in the DC power connect. The Geek Squad at Best Buy (where I bought the laptop) says that to fix it, the motherboard must be replaced - about $ 500. Really? It is the only solution? Can anyone confirm? I would be grateful for information. If it is true, I won't buy another HP if they will only last less than 2 years. Help!

OK, the only way to get this d/c Jack is to buy all cases of lower integer.  This is the info for the hp part store. I hope this helps.

  • R.I.P. E270? -Headphone Jack short

    Hi all

My e270 has a short circuit in the headphone jack and the left channel is missing, unless I have move the plug.  I called Sandisk support to see if I could get it fixed, and what it might cost, but they don't fix them and recommend either to repair shops.

I removed the back of the player and the four live few who appear to hold the inside of the front plate, but it seems to be something more now the whole player.  Do it just out of curiosity, because I am sure that I couldn't fix it anyway.

Any suggestions on what kind of shops might be able to do this kind of repair?

I think I'll try to install Rockbox - I can't screw it up more than it does already.

I was happy with the player and would probably replace it with an another Sandisk refurbed if I find one at a good price online.

One of my friends fell the other day and is irreparable. It was my daughter who was missing the left channel anyway (I did a few mono speakers) but I was the one who dropped by need and thus get a replacement somehow....   :-(

Be very careful with what you do to it-nothing is messed up and there use more...

  • G60-120us: triggered and crashed (short-circuit)?

I really made a simple mistake, the screen was not reciving power so I unplugged my power cord and I forgot to take my battery or powerdown before starting to work on my laptop. The card mother screen plugin (main cord) was not entirely bluged in one side, I noticed, it was a folded internal thread (female end of motherboard) and I got a safety to straiten pin it and separate the son of ajesent, AND IT STARTED when I hit the 2 wires at the same time. The comp crashed when the spark occurred. I proceed to taking the battery and ended up straightening wire and re assembled. Now when I turn on it tries to start (lights happened) BUT stops 1.5 seconds later. I have FRY (fuse or the motherboard chip?) when he unleashed / short circuit?

Hi, I do not understand what exact componet was damaged, but when I replaced my motherboard, it has not fixed the problem. Whitch is much cheeper than to replace the whole PC.

Laptop Inspiron 5758 bought April 2015, had the power switch replaced under premium support Oct - 15, 2 days after the end of my premium (to July 19) support switch has not yet.
