Referring to the value of the element Page 0 in another page

Apex: 4.2

All,

On my page 0, I gave 2 parts in stock. P0_QUESTIONS as a screen only and P0_OPTIONS like a Radio button.

The source of these items are picked on the backend tables based on the: APP_PAGE_ID.

All on Page 1: I chose an option in the account of radio

If I want to see the value above in Page 3, how to do?

As the elements are on Page 0, there is no point on P1 to designate...

How can I go?

TIA,

J

I have ' developing a simple application of review.

I have two tables,

(1) QUESTIONS

(2) OPTIONS

Each page will have two elements. Question (screen only) and Options (Group of Radio buttons).

For now, I have two P0_QUESTION and P0_OPTIONS points to the page0.

The values for the above elements will be extracted from the database based on the APP_PAGE_ID.

But to store the value of P0_OPTION on each page, I have to create a local element in each page.

Since there will be a lot of questions, there will be a lot of pages and I wouldn't manually create local objects on each page, instead it is possible to create a component hidden dynamically based on the page no? Or something like a table to store the value?

It is not practical to create an application with a separate page for each question. This type of application can be dynamically driven data using a question page. Rather than use the 0 page, create a unique question page containing the elements of the question and option (personally I would use relationships rather than objects, but that adds more complexity) and another to store the current number of the question. Before you navigate to the page in question for the first time, create three collections of the APEX. Two collections on queries for issues and the basic options and a third empty one to store the user's responses. On the page in question, back issues and options of the collections instead of the base tables. This ensures that users get consistent questions and options sets, even though they are simultaneously changed by other users. Terms of use on the current number of the question to control the display of the next/previous/Finish buttons or links; conditional calculations on next/previous controls to increment/decrement the current number of the question; a process to register the user in the collection's response; a conditional branch, triggered by control of finishing for a final presentation page; and an unconditional branch to the page in question to scroll through all the questions.

(This is a good example of a Problem of XY. Rather than ask the question "I develop an application examination.» How can I implement this in APEX? "before you start, you selected an inappropriate solution and asked about the problems that have arisen in its application. You should always include some background to the question and if in doubt about the best approach, describe the requirements, not a proposed solution)

  • FROM SHAPED DATENREPORT (how on the same page)

    Hello everyone

    Yes, I know that it is built in a design of two pages where the first is the form and the second report, but I want it for both on the same page so that you can see what he has on the report and add his own line to the table. Well, I could make the creation of a form, then by changing the page and then add another region. Alright. But then I don't know how to link them together so that the data is passed to the form of the report.

    Additionally, the form to fill the data must pass in two separate tables, because a table contains the details of the location and the other opinion about each store. Easy to do on PHP and mysql, but here I'm lost.

    Second thing that drives me crazy it is that I created a table named location as well as street postal code for a store and another for assessment so that customers or workers add a suite evaluate services etc.

    Well, I'm trying to create that shape, that I first talked about this would hold all fields and I do on a SQL query that contains the definitions of the two tables. My XE is completely empty from the remains of other applications, etc. I do the equijoin alright

    Select l.loc_id, l.company, l.postcode, l.street, l.town, e.eval_id, e.loc_id, e.locum_reg, e.date_booked, e.items, e.addicts, e.number_staff, e.attitude_staff, e.organisation, e.stock_filing, e.agency
    location, e-assessment
    where l.loc_id = e.loc_id

    and I get this annoying error all the time

    ORA-20001: unable to create the form on equijoin. ORA-20001: Error Page = 2 item = 'P2_LOC_ID' id = '1324114494879878' ORA-20001: error page 2 item = = "P2_LOC_ID" id = "1324114494879878" a same name something like existing at the level of applications. ORA-0000: normal end successfully

    Well, if this form consists of two tables, it must definitely something in common with them! How did the name of the element suppose to have another name? It is made with the wizzard so supposedly the wizzard you should know, but I tried two days 14 hours a day.

    no indication of how this problem would be invaluable for me

    Thank you

  • How to transfer the text value of the element with the character of new line between pages?

    Hello

    I use the Application Express 4.2.2.00.11 on the 11g XE database. In my application, I use the transfer of certain values deposited between pages on a lot of places in my application. But now I have a specific problem with a textarea element.

    I have the page with the textarea element and I transfer element value to another page using the link button. I use "Set these elements" "with these values" mechanism.

    Everything works fine until I try to add the new line character in the area of the text box to be transferred to another page. I get this error message when I try

    Contact your administrator for the application. The checksum calculated on the basis of the application, clear the cache, names of arguments and argument values (711P711_TEXTabc CRC [A55D4D4B325E23CB83EF28FB7671E8F0]) does not match the checksum passed to the procedure of show (23CC724ADDA630B6F3BDFD2FEE1498E0). Note: users receive a different error message.

    Transfer of value to another implementation of page when I 'abc cde' in the text box.

    Transfer of value to another page do not work when I 'abc [line break] cde' in the text box.

    Value of transfer with the new line character point works when I change "Arguments must have checksum" "Unrestricted" on the landing page. But I want to use the shared services provider and do not want to disable checksum calculation.

    It seems that there is a bug in the function of calculation of sum of internal control...

    You have some tips?

    This is one of the many reasons why it is inappropriate pass strings of characters between the pages through the URL. Instead of using a redirect button, change the button to send the page, then use the conditional calculations to set the values on the landing page and finally access the page using a conditional on submit: before Validation: (after calculation and before Validation and treatment) branch. When you press button terms of use on the calculations and the direction.

    Hello

    I am facing this problem, do not know how to solve this problem. Basically, the default value 'elements' on the page don't prepare you when the session is disabled and I visit the page for the first time. So when I check the session for the first time, all page elements are null. But when I revisit the page, page elements sometimes gets.

    Don't know what I'm missing here... Someone has encountered this problem before?

    Thanks in advance! Kindly let me know if you need more clarification.

    Is there a way that the page element can be defined at the time the page is loaded for the first time?

    Yes. Create a "Page Rendering" PL/SQL process. That it is very early in the page rendering (i.e. "on charge ‑‑ after Header"). Set the value of the element of page here:

    BEGIN
      :P10_MY_ITEM := 15;
    END;

    I have the following requirements.

    Page 1: Register Username (form)
    -Insert the user name in A Table
    -Redirect to the new page
    Page 2: Collect modules (form)
    -Insert the info collected in table B
    -User name of Page 1 is the primary key

    My problem:
    I can't understand how to use the value of the username (Item1) from Page 1 to Page 2.

    What I tried:
    (A) Item2 created in Page 2
    -After that treatment direction Page 1 value with the value of Item1 Item2
    -no value not transferred (failure)
    (B) source edited Item2 on Page 2 for:
    -Used: Always, replacing an existing value in session state
    -Type: point
    -Session State: per session
    -Value of source: P1_ITEM1
    & Several combinations of the two

    My question:
    Passing a value of item from a page to another seems to be a relatively basic operation.
    Am I trying to do something that APEX isn't designed to handle?
    Is there a practical way more traditional or better to deal with these issues?

    Any comments I can get would be great

    If the value of the item has been saved in session state (it is generally except if you explicitly Apex to not save the value in session state), then you can reference any element in your application to any other page or another process. So in other words you have a process on page 2 that runs before your page content (FRONT header, AFTER the header or BEFORE REGIONS) that does something like this:

    :P2_ITEM := :P1_ITEM;

    If you do that, then should have recorded the value on your other section of the page. This can also be done with calculations. It can also be done with the attribute of the SOURCE of your page, article, and there is probably some other ways to do it as well. One of these should be able to meet your need. Good luck.

  • Before the process of pl/sql header to assign values to the elements on the page

    How can I assign values to the elements of a page based on the data structure returned by a pl/sql procedure in the front header process? I think execution of a pl/sql procedure based on a URL parameter value and then assign values to the page elements. Is this really possible using Apex 4.0.2? If so, how can it be done?

    Thank you

    Salome

    The question is not really clear. What kind of "data structure returned by a procedure from pl/sql? Please be much more accurate.

    For a data structure of PL/SQL such as records containing 2 elements (x and there) returned as output parameter for a procedure to be assigned to 2 items p1_x and p1_ypage, all that is necessary in the header before process is something like

    declare
    ...
      l_rec rec_type;
    ...
    begin
    ...
      the_proc(..., p_out => l_rec, ...);

      :p1_x := l_rec.x;
      :p1_y := l_rec.y;
    ...
    end;

  • Value of the element in the referring URL

    I want to use a URL to connect to an application/page to a page of application/2nd and pass a value of an item on the 1st page/application at a point in the 2nd page/application - and within the URL also submit application 2/page.

    The first application/page reflects the details of an employee, with a button to access the 2nd app to view the details of active employees.

    The application/2nd page has two parts, one for a parameter for the employee ID field and a "run" button the second is a report of the property using the parameter as a filter for the report field. The report runs on the loading of the page - when the key - a branch to the same page comes to reload the page, this time with a filter to display the filtered report.

    On the 1st application, I use a button and creates a branch to/url of the page before the treatment.
    I can't conceive the URL in order to pass a value to a page element in the 2nd request if I hard code of the 'value' for the item:
    f? p = 106:1: & SESSION. : RUNQUERY:P1_EMPL_ID:12:

    This will go to a page in app 106, keeping the Session ID and put a value of 12 in the item page (parameter field) P1_EMPL_ID.

    Question:
    (1) how do I (or can I) refer to a value of the element application 1 in the URL instead of the real value? v (P2_ID) instead of 12?

    (2) even if you use a hard-coded as above, using 12... the parameter field gets the value, send the page seems to work - but the report does NOT get updated until I press the new button. The button - submit on 'RUNQUERY' - there is a branch back to page 1 on submit after transformation when you press the button: RUNQUERY (Submit).

    So 2 questions:
    How to refer to an element value in a URL?
    I'm referencing the part of the submission of the URL correctly?

    Thanks in advance...

    No matter what I do, I always get this error when I hit the button 'CREATE' on the page of the form:

    ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ('DEV'. "" T1 ". ("' T1PK")

    Hello
    The belief question is the way in which the calculation is being defined. You are not using the &. rating (dot ampersand) in PL/SQL and SQL.

    Try this.

    1 define the calculation on P1_T1PK of Type calculation of value of the element
    2. on the next page to load textarea, enter P1_DUMMY. No. colon or &
    3. give appropriate conditions

  • Get the value of the question page before submitting.

    Hello all, I use the Application Express 4.2.5.00.08. I have a question on getting a value for a page element before the page is sent. I have a dynamic action:

    Action: Moving the mouse (on a region/State)

    Real Action: $('a[href*="39"]').each (function (index) {}
    lnk = $(this) .attr ('href');
    $(this) .parent)
    . Parent ('tr')
    .Attr ("href data ', lnk")
    {.mouseover (function ()}
    $(this) .css ("cursor", "pointer");
    Lrowrequired var = $(this) .closest ("tr"),.
    BLOCK = lRow.find("td[headers=BLOCK]").text ();
    $x('P39_BLOCK').value = BLOCK;
    })
    {.mouseleave (function ()}
    $(this) .css ('cursor', 'default');
    })
    });

    I am successfully able to get the value of the line while I'm hovering above the report (and P39_BLOCK is refreshing). But, in this case, the value is not set whenever it changes. My question is, if I need to use this value (say, put an another page element when P39_BLOCK is changed) without submitting the page, how is that possible?

    Kind regards
    MFadel.

    Hi Mohamed,

    That's what bothers! In my first dynamic action, I have real action 'Execute JavaScript Code', which doesn't have a property "Page items to show.". And I need this code to retrieve values from the row of the report.

    On the right, you will have the option 'page elements to present' the dynamic JavaScript actions. Only the PL/SQL. And you do not need to handle things strictly the use of javascript. JavaScript is usually used to manipulate items on the page itself, not the things on the server/session). If you need to present before your PL/SQL block, you can either use AJAX call, or you can create a dynamic action of PL/SQL that runs before your JavaScript. Put this field in the 'submit' page elements and the block of code, just put null;

    Here's a sample in javascript, ajax call. It pushes three elements of the page in the session or in the scope where APEX can access their values. You can return values through AJAX if necessary also:

    $.ajax ({type: 'POST',})

    URL: "wwv_flow.show",

    data: {}

    p_flow_id: $('#pFlowId').val (),.

    p_flow_step_id: page,.

    p_instance: $('#pInstance').val (),.

    "x 01': P39_PAGE_ITEM_1, '.

    "x 02': P39_PAGE_ITEM_2, '.

    "x 03': P39_PAGE_ITEM_3, '.

    p_request: 'APPLICATION_PROCESS = YOUR_PROCESS_NAME'

    },

    success: function (data) {}

    Console.log (Data);

    }

    });

    Then you would have a PL/SQL process called YOUR_PROCESS_NAME that can refer to variables such as

    my_var_1 VARCHAR2 (100 CHAR): = APEX_APPLICATION. G_X01; -Javascript password

    my_var_2 VARCHAR2 (100 CHAR): = APEX_APPLICATION. G_X02; -Javascript password

    my_var_3 VARCHAR2 (4000 TANK): = APEX_APPLICATION. G_X03; -Javascript password

    Can I use in my "PL/SQL procedure? Because in the end, I'm trying to use this value in a PL/SQL procedure:

    To answer your last question, Yes, you can use the P39_BLOCK in your PL/SQL, how you demonstrated above, but you must submit in the 'page' referred to submit box, otherwise it uses the last value that has been submitted.

    What I'm not clear, is do you need really value before executing the PL/SQL or you just want your PL/SQL? If you just try to pass it in PL/SQL and then just use the dynamic action of PL/SQL and pass it by using the "elements of the page to present. '' Remember, if you need a new value to publish on the page, you will need to put these fields in the box "items to display the page.

    If you only need the value of front page because you will use in javascript, somewhere, then reference it with jQuery or js and then use AJAX to continue your treatment.

    A third way, you could do, is to create a dynamic action of PL/SQL that runs before the javascript code that is null; in the body of PL/SQL, but put the P39_BLOCK in the "elements of page to submit" box. Who will just send the page element, and then take action dynamic javascript. But, I don't know why you would do that since you can't have the value submitted for javascript to use.

    Hope that all makes sense.

  • Branch to the Page identified by the element

    Apex 3.2

    The pages of my application is accessible in several ways, so I use branch to the page identified by the element.
    Here I pass the page number of the calling page in a link to a hidden item (PX_PG) on the new page.
    I created a branch to the page identified by the element on each page which refers to PX_PG. This is also related to the Cancel button.
    It's that everything works fine.
    My problem is clearing the cache of the page when you press the Cancel button.
    There is no option to clear the cache in the branch and if I create a process page to clear the cache, then it is raised before

    If you want to explicitly reset page 12:

    f?p=&APP_ID.:&P12_PG.:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.:12

    I thought you wanted to clear the cache in the target page, my apologies.

    Good luck

  • How can I change the value of an element in an XML file?

    Looks like I could be overloading the things.  I created a vi that can read a xml file that I created manually but also need to modify the element values.

    For example, I want to change the 'Count' of 4 to 5 element in the xml file:

          02/03/2015
          4
          984

    Help or direction is appreciated (in addition to be referred to as W3Schools which was my first station)

    Thank you

    Jeremy

    I really think you need to check the W3Schools for XPath info, makes life easier:
