• Animated mask problem

  So after a few tutorials on the animation timeline masks I had seen, I thought I had done everything to plan.

  You placed the object drawn into the layer of nask. Replace these with Forms.
  Deselect the icon in the toolpanel (Sqare with a circle on the inside, which is drawing object) and draw shapes in the layer mask.

• Photoshop CS5 refine mask edge problem

  I assume that you are starting with a layer with a mask layer and using edge of mask in the mask Panel?  You have a copy of the same layer below?

  Edge shift slider is quite subtle.  Try hanging out at 100% one way then the other. Do it with a filled layer of a contrasting color immediately below the layer stack.  You will see a difference, but it's not much.   If you use large values with the feather slider, now it will be obvious!

  Hi all!

  I've just updated Photoshop 2015.5 CC version.

  I am currently working on a design that needs cutting contours.

  So I picked all the areas belonging to the background of the image and then click on the "select and mask" to refine the edges and then clear my selection as I usually did.

  But instead, my selection disappeared...

  My steps were:

  1. Selection of the areas to clear with "themagic wand tool.
  2. Click on 'select and mask' (output parameters: output to the selection).
  3. Click on 'OK'.
  4. Selection has disappeared!

  I have provided all the tools to their default settings, but nothing has changed.

  I tried to close and reopen the case, repeat the steps to delete the background, but I always feel the question.

  It is a big problem for me!

  I hope that there is someone who could help me/us with this!

  I actually asked the new workspace me first thing after update, because I wasn't getting.  It's different enough that you need to learn everywhere, I'm afraid, but it is definitely an improvement when you become familiar with it.  See Julianne Kost guide below, but I suspect that you may need to adjust the sliders that control the opacity of the background.  Or simply click on the transparent part to start the selection.

• Can anyone help to lose the gray-brownish remains of the process refine mask edge

  First post here. I tried to learn the tool "Refine edge mask" and have had some success. I can brush the bottom, but when the algorithm ends the procedure (if I click 'OK'), I find myself with a slight grey or brownish tint around the perimeter of the image. I've attached an example below. If I drop the contrasting background, such as a blue sky, it looks very good indeed until you start to see the light grey around his hair. I can rub it using the eraser, but here where it counts, in detail, I would always rubbing his hair as well. If I do that, it starts to look bad enough quickly. Can anyone offer some words of wisdom? SP6, not extended on Windows 8, but it happened on an Airbook as well (which means I'm the problem, I think)

  Hiya, that's not really a topic for beginners and you'd probably get a better answer in the forums main photoshop.

  Masking hair is one of the most difficult thing to do in Photoshop. The dilemma is that you need transparency for the hair to look natural, but that results in a gray halo around the curls models. A good way to approach this problem is to work on the mask itself is not not the image. You will find that if you paint on the mask with a soft brush to a low opacity in overlay brush mode (not layer) with a default black color, it darkens the gray until it gets closer in black, all while not affecting only not the box white mask - so you don't need to be prudent-memory white reveals black cache - on your image where there currently gray you will see the background. We 4 hours on Ribbon of hair tutorials, but I hope it helps a bit.

• Refine mask does not work?

  I made a rough selection on the picture. When I am trying to refine the edge, I increase the radius of the edge detection, but nothing.

  Something strange in your images, is that the button quick mask near the bottom of the toolbar is reduced.

  Messing around a bit I found the QM and improve the mask can be active (target mask, open the Panel layers, enter QM, then target the alpha channel mask - enter now to improve the mask.) This should lead to the State where Tan) and I have the same problem with RADIUS control improve the contour.

  Tan: out improve the mask. Press the Q key (to exit quick mask), then try again dialog improve the mask.

• Mask problem Switch SG300-28 30

  I seem to have a problem using a 30 mask my SG300-28 switch L3 mode.  I want to isolate my router in one VLAN separated.  I had one VLAN created with a 24 mask and it seems to work.  I tried to change the mask on the switch and the router at 30.  There is no DHCP on this VLAN.  I cannot ping either side of the switch or router.  In the configuration screen to assign the IP address to the VLAN there you can use a mask from 8 to 30.  When I change the 30 to a 24, it works very well.

  I use a configuration access port for VLAN router.

  Using a VLAN and an access port is perfectly fine.  There should be nothing wrong with that.

  I don't know if this switch supports, but you might be able to do a "no switchport" and then put the IP address on the interface.

• Layer mask problem

  Somehow, I've changed a setting that has now caused me problems with my layer mask. When I add a layer, then make a blurr Gaussian then to create a layer mask using the ALT key and clicking on the layer mask that my mask should appear in black. However, it doesn't. And I can't figure out how to change... or what to change to correct it. I'm a windows help using Photoshop CC. I do not know how to make the screen print see here since my photoshop so need advice on that a well... Can someone help me? Thank you very much! Kristy

  Your screenshot is confusing because you have either thumb nails disabled in the options panel, or you don't actually have a layer mask.

  I don't understand, I have a few bugs with Photoshop CC. A lot of problem with layer with mask too. The mask to stay in the same place when I use the tool move... And the string is visible between the layer and mask...

• Clipping Mask problem

  Hey guys, I don't know what is happening, but every time I try to make a clipping mask, this inverted color problem happens. I have tried everything to fix it, but I can't find the problem. The image is colored and when I try to make a clipping mask, it turns into a reversed-ish stuff. I also tried havve invert ' the mask ', but it turns into B & w and not RGB.

• Refine Edge problem

  I am trying to use the tool improve the contour and experiencing problems. After having made my selection in General, when I try to use the Brush tool to improve the outline to refine the selection, the colorful painted edges, I see in all the tutorials do not. What I see instead is a brush that makes a white line that disappers now that I take my hand off the mouse. I followed the tutorials exactly step by step and can not find a way to solve this problem. I tried to reset Photshop nothing helps. What I am doing wrong?  I have Photoshop, Photoshop CS6 and 5.1 CC, and this happens in all of them!

  Thank you. So does that mean the Green contours I see in one of the tutorials is perhaps a previous version of Photoshop?

  You can not. Linksys devices are mainstream devices and support only LAN 255.255.255.0 subnet or smaller. They consider that 254 IP addresses is sufficient for a consumer LAN.

  Check blend modes - set to normal, if it isn't already.

  By checking the blending modes, check the layers panel for the selected layer and check the upper tool bar when the Brush tool is active.

• CS6 actions > batch saving of images in a clipping mask problem

  Hey all,.

  Been at this for a certain brand in now and searched the www thin suggestion - so really hope someone can help me here.

  Objective:

  -Target a folder with .gif xxx patterns (in the same size)
  -Configuration of batch stocks open each image in the folder, copy the image of the model individually more to one. PSD file which have a silhouette of the handle.
  -Apply the model on the clipping mask
  -Outside save as .png

  Question:
  So far, Ive had only automate > batch to save to a .png with the pattern correctly applied to the silhouette.

  I have experince, it's so close, I have everything down and start automate > batch then Photoshop will complain of not being able to locate the clipping mask.
  In my configuration of action I everything first open my .psd containing my form of sleeve, then open a real model image and then all the other steps ending with saving the .psd with a model in .png clipping mask.

  The mask works, but I get a warning about data binding will not be able to detect assignments to hide.

  Just change the id to something that is not a keyword, for example myMask or _mask
