  Your photos are not 'in' Windows Photo Gallery... it's simply a viewer.

  Photos are probably stored in your pictures folder. If you
  Right-click on a photo in the photo library and choose... "Open file location".
  You can find the folder that the file is saved in.

  It would be a great idea to save 'all' your photos and other
  personal files on removable media. CD, DVD, memory card.
  Flash drive, external hard drive, etc... before you put in your
  Operating system.

• My Windows Vista computer is corrupt and I'm in a vicious circle where everything I try to repair fails

  I recently installed a selection of 'important' updates on Windows Update. initially they kept not so I installed them in safe mode. Since my computer is in an apparently irreversible cycle and all the solutions on the forums that I am trying to use to fix, it seems to fail. It resembles a virus but I ran Norton 360 in safe mode and it found nothing. I have removed all the updates installed on the roundabout but I always meet the same problems.

  When I boot I get a message saying "Settings.ini is being used by another process. Close the other program and then click Retry, or click Cancel to exit sidebar. "I tried the clean boot fix, but it does not work. Also Norton 360 does not open, Windows Update is not as open, the event log does not work, System Restore has no restore points or can it create a new one, incident reports does not work. I tried to download "correction" using MS Fixit, but as soon as I get to the page and click on the download button I get the following message: "Internet Explorer could not open the Internet site. The site requested is either not available or cannot be found. "Please try again later" literally, it seems that every difficulty I try hit a dead-end. I tried to uninstall Norton360 and reinstall, but it won't let me do no more. I ran CHKDSK in command prompt and apparently there is nothing wrong with that. I tried to open Firefox, but it gives me a message telling me that Firefox is already running? It won't let me download Chrome or Safari either.

  My guess is that this is a problem with Windows Update as the Fixit research said there was a problem with some Windows Update components, well again once I am unable to make a fix on those that it gives me the message "Internet Explorer could not open the Internet site.

  Can someone please offer suggestions as to how I could escape from this cycle? I can not even save my files as my Nero BackitUp opens correctly or the other. Disaster! Also tried user account control solves, but these do not seem to work either. Help!

• FMS 2.01/Linux - where profiles gone?

  If we try to implement the FMS on a Linux machine, and this whole profile thing has been a huge pain.
  
  First, the documentation does not explain how to go from 100 users/unlimited to 2500 users/25Mbps. After a week, we * finally * find the page notes explaining about the profiles in the licenses / dir.
  
  Except... They do not exist!
  
  In short, the licenses / directory in which the different profiles are supposed to be? Empty. No profile.
  
  On the CD? Nothing.
  
  Documentation? Nothing
  
  Telephone support from Adobe? Well... 20 hours later, nothing.
  
  What happens here? How can I set up FMS on Linux to manage 2500 users when profiles are non-existent and noone at Adobe will help?

  Because you are installing from a CD, I guess you have an outdated version of FMS. Selectable license profiles have been added to an update (2.0.2 I think), so you will not have them if you are using an old version.

  This will be a sublist of an existing address book.
  Click on the small arrow to the left of the address book.
  See the first picture below

  You can easily drag the contacts in the group mailing list.
  Select the address book to view contacts.
  put nd contacts highlight then drag in the mailing list.
  My mailing list is called 'Test '.

  To use the mailing list:
  There are two methods.

  1. from the address book.
  Select the list, and click on the Write button.
  This will open a new message from Scripture and each name in the mailing list will appear in the field. This allows you remove a name if you wish.
  You will also need to manually select Bcc for each email address, as appropriate. Don't forget that your contacts can't allows you to distribute their e-mail address.

  2. from the main user interface.
  Click write to open a new message of Scripture
  check the sidebar for Contact if not activated.
  View > Contacts Sidebar
  Select the address book
  Scroll down the list until you see the name of the mailing list
  Select the mailing list
  Click on "add to the Bcc.

  This will add to the mailing list under the name of the mailing list.
  You can't see the individual contacts.
  This saves you from having to change for example: to Bcc
  But you cannot change the names of this e-mail.

I found the old XXXXX.default folder (I did a not format the drive). Unfortunately, there is no inside places.sqlite. There is also no signons3.txt. Where these gone? I use this profile for months.

  Make sure you look in the correct location (i.e. not in AppData\Local but in AppData\Roaming).

  It is unlikely that your bookmarks are deleted from the server of Xmarks as she keeps several backups available that you can restore. Favorites of Xmarks is accessible by logging on their Web site

  I apologize for taking so long to reply to your post, but I had other issues requiring attention during a day. What I was doing before I received your reply has restored my computer to a point in September that was shortly after the clean install of Windows 7 Professional. At that time there Firefox 15.0.1 and IE9 worked very well. After doing the system restore when I accessed Firefox is working without any problems. Then I updated my graphics card HIS Radeon HD4650 AGP for the latest drivers and "when everything goes haywire. It seems that there is a problem between the HIS Radeon HD4650 card latest drivers video AGP Via Technologies VIA P4PB400-FL that is as I mentioned earlier, and old product that has no hardware acceleration. I said that there is a problem with the motherboard Via because the machine that I use to write the question has an ASUS motherboard with the same video card AGP and latest drivers and I don't have any problems with Firefox browsers in particular.

  After you have determined the possibility of the motherboard video card number. I've started in a previous video card driver that was released in 2009. Since Firefox works (IE9 not so now) so I consider the Firefox problem solved.
