Refreshing compared to redial

I'm a little confused on the difference here.  If I patch the snapshot base OS using my view offices, is not a refresh to update just like a redial?

According to the Documentation of the view:
"A desktop refresh operation restores the disk to the operating system of each clone linked to its original state and its size, reducing storage costs."

"You can update linked clone desktops by creating a new base image on the computer virtual parent and using the feature to recompose to distribute the image update for the linked clones."
So, in your case, you must do a recomposition.

  • Inform the user of the applications installed during refresh/Redial on persistent desktop

In our pilot, we noticed that if a user installs an application in their persistent Virtual Office, when we run a refresh or redial this request is lost. Any creative ways around that instead of having to install each odd-ball application in our base image?

    Thank you

You have reached a limit very known in the current architecture of the VDI to all suppliers.

The operating system disk is completely updated, so any application that install stuff and save links on the basis of course systΦme break.

There are tools of superposition of third party who tries to solve this problem, but they add complexity and each has their own reserves.

At least with current solutions and using a 1-> cloning/recompose VDI scenario N, you will not be able to get exactly the same experience about user installed apps as a stand-alone physical pc or a stand-alone virtual machine.

In any case if users use stand-alone applications (which contains all of the components required in their own directory, is i.e. a java application or similar and can rely on the part of the user registry or recreate them on start) and install them on the disc of the user, they are preserved and are still usable after reconstitution.

Or we can use thinapp package app into autonomous units, but of course, you will have a loss of flexibility given to users.

  • Refresh/Stop button is missing from the URL bar in 27 FF.

My position only bar shows 'bookmark this page' and the history of drop down menu on the right. He used to have a button that switches between refresh and stop depends on whether a page was currently loading, which is gone.

It happened after restarting FF to install an add-on. I don't know if updated FF to update at the same time; He could have. I am now on 27.0.1 and I had installed HideMyAss, which installed its own toolbar button, and also the refresh and stop buttons were no longer in my URL bar, but now they were separated from the buttons in the Navigation toolbar.

I can't go back into the URL bar. I uninstalled the add-on, I tried drag-and - drop the buttons on the URL bar and I tried to 'Restore the default game' in the toolbar customization dialog. None of these work.

    This is probably the entry:

       collapsed=""

saying Firefox not to collapse the buttons into a single. I deleted all the lines with the exception of leave and everything was back to normal.

  • Writing to the nodes property DAQmx channel does not refresh the channel values

    Hi all

I have a riddle.  I created a task programmatically in LabVIEW and programmatically added several analog input channels to the task.  It's easy.

I wish that my user must be able to modify the individual channels within the task.  To this end, I created a set of screws that allow it to change the settings appropriate to the channel (for example, if it is a channel of thermocouple, it can change the type of thermocouple, CRC value, etc... If it is a strain gauge channel, it can change the coefficient of fish and so on).  These screws all works beautifully, like the VI where they live.

The specific question that I have is that writing to the channel property nodes refreshes not communication channels.  See the images below.  The first image is the code that needs to define new channels of communication:

Note that immediately after setting the property nodes, I read their values back, just to see what comes out back.

The second image is an image of the public Service immediately after the execution of this VI.  Note that the values read from the channel property nodes did not updated to match to the set of values, but instead kept their initial configuration values:

What I am doing wrong?  I fought this for a few days now and I'm stumped.

    Thanks for your time!

    Diane

Hi, Diane.  A week ago, I also had a problem changing the channel properties (not sure that our situtions are exactly comparable, but...).  My 'solution' to want to change the appearance of the task was to just throw the original task and recreate all the elements of the task from scratch.

I've not done enough 'experiments' to work when you can and cannot change, but am now much more cautious...

  • Error message: the selected task "{0}" no longer exists. to view the current task, click Refresh

When I go to start Task Scheduler, I get this message "the selected task"{0}"no longer exists. to see the current tasks, click Refresh"so I go ahead and click on refresh and get the same error message. How can I solve this problem? Any help and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I spent a few minutes and tracked down the problem and a solution. This is a result of work files that exist in the tasks folders that do not have access to (probably) in the registry. Here's how I worked through the issue - will take time, but it has cleared up the problem completely for me:

    1. Open the Task Scheduler, and then click OK when you are prompted with the error. It may seem that you receive again and again the same error, but it is really because of the number of tasks that are broken. Make a note of the number of times that you are prompted by the error of the selected task '{0} '. This is the number of work files that are out of sync with the registry.
    2. Start with the first folder under Windows tasks (Task Scheduler (Local) \Task Scheduler Library\Microsoft\Windows), and then select each file in turn until you receive the error of the selected task '{0} '. This folder contains files that are not synchronized with the Task Scheduler.
    3. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder of tasks (% SystemFolder%\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows) and look for the folder that corresponds to the folder in which you received the error.
    4. For some tasks, you will be able to determine which files need to be removed by comparing the list in the Task Scheduler with the list of files in the Explorer. Some tasks will be only one file in the Explorer, or, in one case, I had 2 and the first was absent. Once Task Scheduler encounters this error is no longer display the tasks so he does the work to get the two in sync a little harder. Once you have determined which files exist in the folder of files but do not exist in the folder of the Task Scheduler, remove these files.
    5. IMPORTANT - close and re-open the Task Scheduler. Once the error, Task Scheduler no longer displays the missions you have to close and restart in order to continue your effort of synchronization.
    6. Continue to select folders in the Task Scheduler under Windows taskbar until you encounter the error once again and repeat the process of determining which file exists on the file system, but not in the Task Scheduler.

I had 6 files that were at odds with what was shown in the Task Scheduler. Once I deleted all the incriminated files, task scheduler has pulled up without problem.

    Good luck.

  • Compare models does not take into account property "columns order.

    Hello

    This looks like a bug:

After doing some restructuring on a table the models compare- dialog box displays columns levels between the model and the database, which is correct. I'm not interested in the reorganization of the physical table, but I still want to keep the model table in a certain order of column.

Now in the 'options' - tab the options 'compare' and then I unchecked use 'Order of columns' property, press to refresh the trees. NO CHANGE!

If no action is displayed in the DOF-preview (which is a good point of ) tree still shows the differences in the order of the columns that are not relevant for me. What I want to achieve is: the tree is must signpost: there is nothing to do on the database, despite the different orders of columns.

    Thank you, Dieter

(it is for version 4.0.2 on Oracle 10 g

    Hi Dieter,

When 'Column Order' property to use option is not set, a difference in the order of the columns will always appear as a difference, but the Order property of columns is initially not selected on the Details tab (although the user can still select if he wishes).  This means that (unless she is then selected by the user), the difference will not affect the DOF preview and it will not be merged in a merger.

The order of the columns can be completely excluded in the comparison by going to the Options tab and then selecting the tab filter properties, then selecting Tables on the left side of the Panel and marking the Order of columns excluded property.

The button refresh trees can be used to refresh the tree, ignoring the Order of the columns property.

    Kind regards

  • Discover 5.2 recompose pool linked clone - Wait for user to logoff - refresh immediately after logoff - connected on VM never reconstruct after the closing session or refreshment.

Lets say, we have 20 clones related hen who has refresh immediately after logoff. 10 people are connected to VM 1-10. When plan us a restructuring of the entire pool, one would expect that VM 11-20 would recompose afterwards, as the newspaper of people out of 1-10 of Vm, the VM redial for the new replica. Instead, VM 1-10 are refreshing to a control point and recomposing replica ever again. It seems that when refresh after logging has not been defined, recompose work properly. These two elements are mutually exclusive?

    I guess that's what you're talking about?  http://KB.VMware.com/kb/2006707

If so, Yes, this is a known problem, updating of log will cancel and replace a Redial on newspaper.  I raise this issue until I got was blue and you have heard that it will be corrected in a future version

For now, I do it manually reconstructs in the pool > inventory tab > desktops (see composer details) > right-click on desktop > redial.  Usually, I do on a single desktop computer and let the replica to create and lots of then recomposed.  As recompose and selecting force their users to disconnect will do the trick also.

  • Refresh the layers/buttons in Acrobat Viewer (Windows 7/Mac)

    Hi all

We have recently upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on Windows 7 and update our PDFs to display up to 13 layers which can be enabled or disabled using the form and Javascript buttons.

All displays and functions fine Reader XI for Windows 7, but when we try on the drive (worm 10.1.7) for Mac there are a few questions. When we zoom in to 100% and click one of the buttons, layers and some buttons disappear. Only after moving the mouse they reappear.

I searched for a way to refresh the document or something similar, but have not yet found anything.

A similar question was posted earlier:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/3282147#3282147

No one knows what is the cause and if there is a solution?

There is no JavaScript command to force a redraw of the screen.

Acrobat and Reader have somehow quite complicated writing on the screen because they are made of mixtures of pixel and vector content, often in different color spaces. It is not uncommon to find things randomly disappear if the page has intensive overlay or a bunch of annotations - sometimes only a mismatch develops between the contents of the viewport as conceived Acrobat and the data cached in the display buffer. Dirty window waving a mouse around or changing the zoom will force a repaint, where pop stuff reappears in.

Most of the time it is indicative of something not quite right with the display driver, or a lack of RAM - PDF itself is rarely to blame; If it was you will get the same effect on different computers.

FYI, if you compare the versions of reader, remember that the 2D graphic acceleration has been removed in the XI Acrobat family.

  • Reset, recompose, rebalancing or refresh - I'm confused

Can someone explain the difference in the options of the4 and when / why you would do one or the other?  If I use composer and a pool persistent machines and want to update a base image, which option I will want to choose?

    Thank you

Reset - disconnect all currently connected users and reboots the system

Refresh- Office update is similar to a recomposition of the office but without any changes to the base image. This action is performed to restore data from the system for an office pool in a base state and so reduce the size of each clone operating system data attached.

Crop- Redial action is launched when the administrator selects one different in the same Parent VM or another Parent VM snapshot (as in this example). In both cases a new replica is put into service.

Rebalance- Rebalancing LUNS evenly distributes all selected (or part) virtual machines between the available logical drives.

All this is within View beginning on page 119 3.1 Administrator's Guide: http://www.vmware.com/pdf/view31_manual.pdf

  • Refresh schedule is stuck

Hi all, I'm stuck with one problem. I loaded the metadata and add some dimension attribute and updated of the planning application. Planning an application of tasks about 85 refresh. My updating process is stuck at the process 18. Could you please suggest me any way to refresh the planning. Where can I go and find out the details of the activity/task?

    Thank you

Depends on the size of data, if you take a look in the application directory essbase where data is stored, you will see he rebuild the pag as .pan files
Compare the amount of files pan pag and it will give a little indication where it's at.

    See you soon

  • Ali g 11, view is not refreshed when model

    Hello
Really miss me something adf faces (jdev 11.1.1.3.0).

I have a web app with jspx, tabpanels and pojo data controls.

Since there is no complex logic to open new pages/tabs, sometimes I have to open new pages/tabs programmatically, and I also sometimes
to refresh the model behind pages/tabs programmatically.

When I say "programmatically" I mean that the updating of the model is not started by an action of the user on the Web page, but it is started by logic in the model layer
(say, for example, you receive a JMS message and you want to reload the entire page content).

I can correctly update the model, using debug println I can see that the template is updated, but there is no way that I can update the view.

I tried with the code "addPartialTarget" and so on, but it does not work.

I have also bought and read "Oracle JDeveloper 11g Handbook" and "Oracle Fusion Developer Guide", but I can't find anything that can help me.

Can someone explain to me: what don't understand me? I don't know there's some notion in ADF Faces I missed: this framework is too
big not to offer what I need, so I missed something for you.

I hope to have an answer, I hope Shay reads this too.

    Thank you all.

    Hello

Active Data Services (Chapter 20 of the book) is what allows you to synchronize the screen with changes made to the model. The problem you face is because the data that you see is what is stored in the link layer iterators. An alternative to the use of the ADS is to use an af:poll component that updates the display component when the model has changed. To do this, your model exposes a method that returns a timestamp which changes each time the data has changed. On the expiry of af: poll, he calls a managed bean method, which - through the ADF link layer - checks the timestamp and compares it to a local saved copy (whenever the timestamp has changed, the client side he wrote for example to the viewScope or pageFlowScope). If the timestamp has changed, the managed bean reruns the method of the iterator for the user interface components and then issues a partial refresh of the components. "Instead of PPR'ing each element in turn, you can try setting the property ChangeEventPolicy of the ppr iterators.

This should solve the problem. The last example is also explained in the chapter 20, but ADF in British Colombia

  • Problem comparing two variables to help assess variable

    Hello
IAM using 10.1.3.3 designer ODI where in I have a case to compare two variables.
IAM using evaluate variable for it as Var1 = #Var2
    My case is as below
    If
    Var1 = Var2
    flow goes to xxx
    on the other
    flow goes to yyy

I was faced with number format exception when I stated as digital variables. I changed to alpha numeric and tried again. This time the exception has disappeared, but the comparison happens as expected. I have the variables satisfying the real condition (var1 = var2 = 1234). But still the flow occurs for the condition false, which indicates that the comparison goes as planned. My DB is oracle.
Any suggestions on this are appreciated.
    Thank you

Project you drag and drop your var1 and var2 in refreshing fashion
Now do drag var1 in evaluation mode and make the comparison

It must also include the code in your project.

    That is to say var1 = #. Var2
    then implement your business logic

  • Last updated broken ctrl + f5 refresh of the cache javascript?

I'm a developer working with Javascript. Firefox updated the 28 or 29 of this week (I've also updated to 50.0.2 after I found this problem, but the problem persists). Since this update is no longer refreshes the cache of javascript when I press ctrl + f5 or ctrl + shift + r. I can get to refresh the open developer window (and set caching not in the settings), but clearly something broken, at least in my browser, with one of the most recent updates. Is there something I can do to fix this or is this a known bug?

Hmm, normally, I would check the recovery of files using the tools of the Developer Network Monitor section. I don't know how to check without open development tools. Do you use the words: page cache, or just find the incomplete/incorrect script compared to what you have recorded the last?
