Refund of Virtual PC doctor

Virtual PC doctor contacted me twice last year. like a fool, I paid more than £300. Now, I get daily phone calls offering to refund me my money because they are close. (I repeatedly asked to send me a check that the account that I used is now closed and they refused.)

I'm seriously skeptical of giving them access to my computer again. Any useful suggestions? (I wouldn't mind the money but have written off as a loss and a hard lesson learned).

Today they gave me the address and post code:-30 Leichester Square, London, EC4R 3BF. (As far as I know this isn't a valid UK post code - I tried checking with the P.O.)

Do NOT leave them in your computer! They try to rip you off for sure. Why should only they access your computer to pay back you? A search on these forums and you will find hundreds of examples of this type of scam.

Has anyone heard of the "virtual pc doctor"?  A friend asked me to focus on this.  She received an unsolicited call from someone who claims to come from a company of which the name is saying that there were a lot of computer problems in its region and that they can solve the problems, but first, they need to access his computer to find errors.  Given a site to go to, one thing a little to enter password and then voila, they were in his computer.  Anyway to make a longer story, she realized later that perhaps they were not legitimate and worries now that they should have done.  I said the possibilities were infinate, theft of identity, viruses, phishing and on and on.  Or it might be legitimate, but I doubt it... or the end of it, all they have sprung out of all the errors that they supposedly are told for $ 250, they could repair and it would give him a subscription to their service continue... so it might be just a financial scam straight ahead... has someone at - he heard of them and if so, what is their game, as appropriate, and what do you propose for her now that she has already given access at least once.

    It is a complete scam.

It is normal for any computer Windows display hundreds of errors and warnings in the application log.  They show no corrupt files.

  • Is received call from Virtual PC Doctor scam, any threat to the security of my PC?

I was called by Virtual PC Doctor around 14:00 today. They knew my name, address and telephone number and went through their usual field. When they asked me to go to my computer and tell them what was on the screen, I told them that I had to check out them before we all went further and ended the call. Is there any other action should I take to protect my safety?

    Hidden Hi Bandit,

Microsoft will not unsolicited calls to help you with your computer. Make sure you hang up the phone the next time that you receive such calls.

This a complete scam and one that has become very common these days. . Don't think anything such a caller said, do nothing that he tells you to do and hang up on him immediately.

If you leave them in your computer, you are now at risk serious for what they could have done there (installed spyware? Identity theft? Steal the passwords?), and I highly recommend that you do the two following:

    1 reinstall Windows properly

    2. change all your passwords, especially those of the financial institutions and online stores.

  • Corrupt files on Windows XP and disturbing call from the technician PC Doctor in India.

Please explain how to completely remove the corrupted files from my computer that uses Windows XP Media Edition. I had the computer erased completely, but the technician put the files in question on as thought that I might need them. I do not understand the relevance of keeping these files on my computer or if they can affect other programs. I am concerned also a call today from PC doctor of the assistants of the India who suggested I have delete the files and what it would cost for them to do etc. I do not understand how they established the fact that I had these files or how they looked at my phone number. I found their intimidating tone and want to know if they were probably hacked my computer. Why not delete those files myself without having to pay someone to do it? Please give advise me on this if possible because it is worrying me and make me feel insecure when using the computer in question. Thanking you in advance.

Call PC Doctor is a fraud, and many people received such calls.  If they still call it, hang up immediately.  For more information, please see hear about "Virtual PC Doctor?" in the forum Windows XP security, privacy, and user accounts .

  • I use a PDF file extensively on my computer and assumes that the PDF is more native to Evernote, it apparently really is. I just installed Adobe Acrobat DC and its Virtual PDF printer. But, when I went to print multi-page documents, the printer would be o

I realize that it is a forum for Adobe, but I imagine there are many people here who use PDFs on Evernote. Unless there is something I don't really understand, it seems that you can copy a PDF of several page on Evernote, but you can retrieve only the first page on a virtual printer Adobe for Windows. Can anyone suggest something I should do?

I have a neurological disease and an accumulation of documents on Evernote. Most of the documents have been given to me by a doctor, I have them scanned in PDF files and read these files in Evernote. I just assumed that when it came time to take the documents to a new doctor, I could print them. But, when I went to print multi-page documents, the printer would only print the first page and ignore the rest.

Sounds like you have a problem with EverNote, not Acrobat. Acrobat prints being told to print, it does not stop after the first page.

  • Can I use vSphere Replicaiton to clone Production to the doctor?

    VMGods Hey!

I'm trying to gain time to build my DR site by cloning my Production VMs on our DR site continuously, rather than on each computer virtual ground accumulate.  In total, we are talking about 80-90 mV, a mixture of Linux and Windows.  Us are currently approved for Enterprise + and have independent vcenter on our Production and DR sites, the two 5.5 running (vCenter and ESXi).  The question is, if I use vSphere replication to replicate my Prod VMs to the doctor, I can then break all ties between the VM in seed Production and use the virtual machine cloned in DR regardless?  As a follow-up question, is there a way I can run sysprep after replication automatically on the replica of VM?

    Thank you!

    Hi Jared,

Yes, you can use VR to create copies of the original VMs in an another server vCenter inventory.

Once the initial full synchronization is complete, any changes to the original VMs will be replicated according to the parameters of RPO.

Once you decide to stop replication, you can first call "Recovery Wizard" and establish the files replicated as VMs in vCenter inventory target. Power on stage is optional in the "Recovery Wizard". Please make sure that you use the last available-sync point - this will not affect the original VMs.

After that the virtual machines 'recovered' are registered in vCenter target inventory, rehearsals will turn into "Recovered" status Then you can stop safely replication from the user interface and from that moment, there is nothing THAT VR associated virtual machines or in the user interface.

Today, VR disconnects explicitly recovered virtual computers network cards.

There is no integration of sysprep. You may build your own customization using Powershell or similar.

MRS offers some customization options, but requires a separate license.

    Kind regards

    Martin

  • Connect to virtual machines across multiple servers of connection for internal/external access

    Hello everyone

My apologies if this is a silly question, but is it possible to have an individual virtual machine or pool accessible through multiple connection servers? Here is my setup and my scenario:

Connection to server 1 - direct connect active, PCoIP, serving internal users.

Connection to Server 2 - live disabled connect, RDP, coupled with a security server, serving external users.

We seek to deploy Wyse PocketCloud on Wireless / 3G iPad so support for users outside the campus of the hospital can access their desktop.  Users will be expected to have office in the same condition as when they were on campus.  Our doctors are attracted to the iPad, then this will be a test for future deployment phase.

VMS users are controlled by cs 1.  I would like that the possibility for users to directly connect to their virtual machines using PCoIP when they are internal and RDP via security server when they are external.  Is it possible without using a VPN or live with disabilities on cs connect 1?  I tried to add a virtual machine that has already been setup on cs 1 CS 2 but once cs 2 picks up I can connect is no longer the virtual machine through cs 1. Servers will also relay the reconfigure virtual computer every minute, so this is not the right way to do this.  Someone had customers or users who wanted to make something similar to this?  If so, how did you manage?

Thanks in advance for your comments

View what version are you running?  In later versions, you can set directly relate to the level of the server.  So now you can simply deploy a replica of your main connection server that runs Live mode while having your other login server in indirect.   This way you can have a view environment and run your desired configuration.

  • public network for virtual machines, private storage and the service console?

    Hello

So far I had a pretty small facility with 2 servers with 4 physical network adapters each running ESX 3.5, a small box of EqualLogic SAN to shared storage and a few virtual machines on our network of regular reinforcement, routed, not on a private.   The network config was really simple.  I just put everything on real IP addresses on our network of building.

Now I want to move the SAN and the traffic on a private service console network, but I don't know how to do this.

Right now I use 2 NETWORK cards on each server:

vmnic0 is configured on vSwitch0 and has the network of the VM on it that all my use of VMS to talk to the outside world, and it also has the Service Console that uses Virtual Center and I use ssh to it.

vmnic1 is configured on vSwitch1 and a VMKernel Port and also a Service Console Port for iSCSI Software to talk to my SAN.  (never been clear on why both are needed to talk to the SAN, but doctors say they are)

My plan is to set up a vSwitch2 and bind it to vmnic2 and implemented a VMKernel Port and the Service Console Port for software iSCSI on the 10.x.x.x network, set up my new (larger) SAN box on the 10.x.x.x network and simply use Storage vMotion to move virtual machines to the new storage space.  As soon as I did this, I would like to not use the Service Console on vSwitch2 and not a Console Service at all on vSwitch0.  Is it possible to delete the one on vSwitch0 and just use a new vSwitch2 for Virtual Center and ssh access?

So my proposed configuration would be:

vSwitch0: VM network only, used by the VM guests for oriented public access network, no construction of Network Service Console, linked to vmnic0

vSwitch1: superfluous once I do storage vMotion of everything on my old SAN, will eventually remove and pair vmnic 1 with vmnic0, linked to vmnic1

vSwitch2: VMKernel and Service Console on the network 10.x.x.x, used to access the new SAN, used by Virtual Center to access the ESX, used to SSH in to ESX on private network, associated vmnic2

    If it works?

    Thank you.

    Hello

VMkernel ports cannot live on the same subnet. So if you have 3 vmkernel ports say: vMotion, iSCSI and NFS. You really need 3 subnets. 1 for each vmkernel port.

Otherwise how does he know all send properly?

  • has confirmed a refund, have not yet received

I made a purchase on 23/09/16 and received a refund confirmation email 24/09/16. I still have not received my refund. I want to return my $19.99, so how can / should I do?

If the return is a credit card, it might take a few weeks to cross. If your iTunes account (you have logged off and on the account?), it should have appeared now, in this case contact iTunes support once again, including your file number

  • What App would you recommend to run virtual machines on an Imac?

I would try to have virtual machines running on my IMac, but I'm having a hard time finding any material on this topic from apple.

Ideally, I would like to my main x os to start and then simply turn a small virtual machines or containers from OSX.

Any recommendations? or articles about the support of Apple for such a thing?

    There are three choices:

    Parallels Desktop for Mac

    VM fusion

    VirtualBox

The first two are commercial products. The third is a free, open source. Three Parallels is the best.

  • Refund purchase iTunes

I recently bought a song on iTunes, but realized that I bought the wrong song. I reported it to apple and they sent me an email saying that I was refunded, but it shows that I have still no store credit, help!

Since how long did you get the email saying that you would be refunded? It may take a few days to refund to an iTunes account (or even 7-10 days if a credit card has been used and is repaid). If it rained that contact iTunes support once again and include your file number.

  • I need a refund on a package I bought

I'm not sure on how to request a refund for a package I bought?

Essentially, iTunes purchases are considered final. This is part of the information provided when you make a purchase. However, you can use this link to contact iTunes support and ask. It is to them. https://www.Apple.com/EMEA/support/iTunes/contact.html

  • Refund of the app

If I buy an item online or in a store and I don't like, so I can return it. Have I not the same ease with Apps I buy? If not, then why not? I should have a free trial period or a window of 30 days to return it.

Because the terms of the usage of online content policy stores is "all sales are final." Support staff is known to give a refund by user account, and so that's something, must be used intelligently.
