  • Brand new computer and Windows Update offers updates of pilot

I received a custom build e9280t yesterday and did the thing of the installation and migration.  Windows Update offers already updates for the ATI Radeon HD 4850 video card and JMicron JMB36X controller.  I guess I have several questions.

1 can I install drivers provided by Windows Update

2 How often should I update drivers?

    3. in the case of the video card should I update from Windows Update or ATI?

    4. If I install ATI should I install the ' ATI Catalyst™ 9.11 Suite for Windows 7 (64 bit) "or simply thedriver only option of the ATI Catalyst™ 9.11 components for Windows 7 (64 bit)?

I have a card ATI video in a long time and the outcome of pilot and the options have always confused me with what must be downloaded and installed.

    Thanks for any help.

John, here are the answers to your questions:

    (1) Yes, I would.  I wonder however, no offer to update your BIOS before checking further.  Updated HP has been known to be incorrect.  A failed BIOS flash makes it an expensive boat anchor.

    (2) update as soon as there is a new driver.  Manufacturers use updates to fix problems.

    (3) it's up to you.  I don't think that HP makes changes of owners of the video cards in their computers.  So, if it were me, I would use those ATI/AMD.

    (4) go with the 'Software Suite '.  This includes some cool utilities to adjust your map.  One of the features that I like is "Overdrive".  It allows you to overclock the card and adjust the speed of the fan on the fly.  I'm still using XP Pro SP3, but the last consequence works very well with my 4870 XXX 1 GB.

I hope this info is useful.

  • Specific information about WU offers updated NVIDIA GTX 295

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate.  Windows Update has recently offered an optional update for the graphics processor NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 (approximately 145 MB).  As I started to use a Windows 7 computer, I don't remember that Windows Update has ever offered an update for Nvidia graphic processor before.  I'm already using the latest NVIDIA driver that I get them directly from Nvidia (who was a setup file about 117 MB).

I would like to know more information on this update before I go to download it and install it.  I want to know specifically what that is and if different versions of Nvidia driver (it contains additional features specific to Windows 7).  How can I do this?

I appreciate your time and expertise.

    Aravaipa,
Updates of specific hardware driver that are offered through Windows Update are from OEMs.  Microsoft will host the updates of equipment for manufacturers but not write or modify.

  • Offers updates firmware for NWZ-E354

I hope that Sony has not released the player NWZ-E354 and left users without updates. So would like to think that I came with some features I've seen available in other brands of media players that I'm sure that all the users of this model Walkman would like to see implemented in an update of the firmware.

-Remove the option for any folder/file without having to be connected to a computer. We can do with podcasts, but not with the music.
    -Gapless playback option and overlapping.
-Fade-in/out playback when and after a pause.

I know that the chances of these updates happening are slim, but this kind of features are those that people write about clients and in turn convince others to choose its new media players.

  • iPhone app store offers updated an application not installed

    Hello!

This morning, I checked the list of available updates for my iPhone and there was an update of an application I have not installed. Probably my kids bought the App, but they were never installed on this iPhone.

So: Why is there an update available (in my iPhone) for an app I ever installed?

The proposed update is for mischievous cat: e-mail 3D.

I checked with the projector to ensure that the application is NOT installed in this iPhone.

    9.2 (13 c 75) IOS on iPhone 6.

    Thank you!

The application of the vision of the world has been hacked/replaced with the mischievous cat app in iOS.  The application of the vision of the world automatically updates the Chat application mischievous without explanation or warning, a shady action which is extremely inappropriate.  Political privacy of the vision of the world/Cheeky Chat is blurred on its Internet site, which is a violation of the terms of service requirements Apple.  Naughty cat pages Facebook and Twitter are empty.  It took me several hours to track down the Worldview app on my iPhone that would update naughty chat without explanation or warning.  To avoid having a naughty Chat on your iPhone or iPad, the solution is to remove the application from the vision of the world from your iPhone or iPad.  Then, the application of mischievous cat no longer in your queue of updates.  I also deleted the application of the vision of the world of my iTunes apps on my iMac.  I wonder if this naughty cat app is malware (and I wonder if the application of the vision of the world he replaced is malware, too).  I reported it to Apple, and got a response saying that Apple will do nothing about it.
