HelloWe have below the requirements and could you please help me.
1. how and where can we enter base price, a discount rate and the term of each contract of Service Requests.What line discount are all inverter is required for this.
2. where do I enter hold to term for a Service contract fees and how do I calculate in the invoice if the contract expires before hold term in Service contracts?
3. How can I get the discount and the Dicount rate on the invoice?
4. How can we fill t he remaining duration of the contract of AR Inoive, because we have need to show in our Bill?

Hi Ganga
(1) I believe you have already OM and other modules in place. So in all likelihood you should already have advanced price configured and installed. Check the 'Oracle Pricing Manager' responsibility. OM / OKS / sales etc modules interact with advanced pricing to get the price of the product info. Regarding the OKS search 'Tools'-> "Price adjustment" in the service contract form design. The feature is clearly explained in the user guide reference that I provided. Through the reference guide for a better understanding.
(2) your case 'holding term' has to do with the return of the product and subsequent termination of the contract. You will need to consider how you want to manage the flow of product return. Ideally if you cancel the contract in OKS (manually) then you should be able to specify the amount in proportion, to the a/c on the client credit. If you decide to go for customization here, so you can focus on some of the available public APIs.
Not sure, points 3 and 4. You will have to go for customizing invoice based on your condition. I have no access to an instance can not really try.

Recording price breaks in the lines of his use of Service contract

When I'm trying to enter the break of price for the contract of Service line use to COPY an element from a list of price ABC_Price_List. I get the following error.

Check the unit of MEASURE for the item. What is the unit of MEASURE for the issue of the COPY in the inventory? Check the item in the list of prices. The unit of MEASURE should be EA. There are usually two UOM, an environmental assessment and another is Ea. The two are each but belongs to a different class. Make sure you choose the right pair meets which is attributed in the element definition.

Licenses, upgrades, and Service contracts

I just find myself thrown into the deep end and responsible for implementing a VPN system so that our clients can enter our network to access resources. The problem is I am a software developer not a network administrator and there is no money to pay a consultant, it is so for me to get there.
I was presented with an ASA 5510 Security Plus that I played with for a few days now. I have a few pieces configured such as access SSH, ADSM, transfer of routing between outside and inside, DMZ and some NAT/PAT. I am currently working on the implementation of a basic VPN while reading the book of Richard Deal.
Questions about upgrading
This morning, I noticed that there is a version 8.4 of the ASA software. The box I have running 8.2 (5). Is it worth the upgrade?
Assuming that it should be to upgrade this do I need? I was on the Cisco download site and found what I think is the good software , but apparently I need a service contract to download. Keeping in mind that I'm going to need to beg for every penny what service contract do I need and about how much it cost (I'm in England)? It would probably help my cause, if I pointed out a few other benefits of having a contract of support as well.
Questions about VPN
My original plan was to offer our customers access using AnyConnect. I had read that I needed was licensed Essentials (very reasonable) and I was good to go. When I went to download what I think is the good software , but I find that I need a service contract.
Is the software linked above should I use AnyConnect? If this is what service contract do I need?

I would be different with Jennifer advice on this one.
It will be worth your time to get and use Smartnet support. Not only for the software but for help configuration and problem as well. The community of support here is great, but when you're network is having a power failure based on the usefulness of foreigners here is not the way to go.
If ASA is relatively new and has the right amount of memory (1 GB for a 5510) AND new (i.e. no real old configuration that needs any migration); I would recommend starting with a fresh level of current software. (8.4 (4.1) is the most common on the platform 5510.). I would even improve it if it had a current configuration that needs migration. The syntax of the most recent will be used in the future and the older style will be deprecated over time. All new features will be incorporated in the new code with a new major release (9.0) coming out later this year.

Recently, I reloaded a fresh load XP on my laptop. I was able to install SP3 and IE8, despite not being able to download them directly from the Windows Update site. I tried several times to install updates, one, five and all at the same time and is unable to install. I ran Fixit to many times and it says it solves some problems, but no single instance doesn't solve all of them. I also tried to update after the launch of a clean boot, always to nothing does not. I see many solutions on this and other Microsoft sites and I tried, but nothing seems to change the results. FixIt has reported the following:

Original title: Windows Update will not install on the new load XP

Thanks for your replies. Sorry I didn't answer sooner, but he got late last night, and I got to reregister the Qmgr.dll and Qmgrprxy.dll BITS files.
I clicked Start, click on run and typed the command following, and then click OK:

There are 124 updates, the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for versions of .NET 2.0 to 3.5 (KB951847) x 86. He downloaded 124 updates, but even once asked me to insert the disc for qmgr.dll when he was installing the 10th update. I find the qmgr.dll file again and pressed OK, but it seems to hang forever and do nothing, then I simply cancelled updates and closed during the night. I have been relieved to have solved the problem of BITS, but is concerned by the hang up on the tenth update installation and he called again for the qmgr.dll file during the installation of updates.
This morning, when I rebooted, it installed some updates at startup, and I restarted again. He then held I first install the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for versions of .NET 2.0 to 3.5 (KB951847) x 86 to date. N BITS issue for that. It took time, but completed settle. Restart again and now there are only 21 updates to high priority required. My guess is that he downloaded all 124 updates last night, but when I cancelled the installation after hanging on #10, he just started to install it again this morning and did so successfully.
However, when I try to install the 21 remaining, he has not once again, and I find that the BITS service is not in the services again. After I have re-enter the BITS service and restart it, the downloads are working again.
I am now what I may need to reinsert and restart the BITS service whenever I need to download an update.
Ideas, suggestions or comments? I am slowly solve problems and if I persist, I can get this all taken care.

From what you wrote, I understand where you are getting confused. Here are the steps to follow to solve this problem.
Open the Windows search tool, copy / paste the following text, and then click Search: qmgr.dll
Research should show this file in the following locations:
C:\Windows\System32
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
C:\WINDOWS\system32\bitsI hope they are all present, follow these steps to register the service.
Click on start, run and copy/paste: regsvr32 qmgr.dll and click OK
(If you do not have the command run in the start menu, hit the Windows key + R, instead)Do the same with this file: regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll and then restart.
Here are the next steps.
Copy / paste this command in the field to run, and then click OK
%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe setupapi, InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\inf\qmgr.infWindows will launch a dialog box asking you to insert the Windows installation CD. Ignore this and change the way downstairs to C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
Then restart the PC again and continue with the rest of the troubleshooting steps.
Click on start, run and copy/paste the following and click OK: services.msc
You should now be able to see the Background Intelligent Transfer Service, or just "BITS" displayed in the list of Services.
Double click it to open BITS and then click on the Start button. This is just a test to make sure that it works correctly.
If you get 2 error: cannot find the specified file, click on start, then run again and copy / paste the following command, and then click OK:
Tracking Add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BITS\Parameters /v ServiceDll /t REG_EXPAND_SZ /d %windir%\System32\qmgr.dllRestart then try and start the BITS.
If you get the same error again, copy / paste the following text in the field run and click OK:
Reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\FilesNotToBackupReboot once more and then try and start the BITS.

Acrobat STD is not available for Mac, you can install only the Acrobat Pro version. Platform swap option is not available in this case, the product itself is different.
If its like version of Windows Acrobat pro, you can change it to Acrobat Pro Mac. But not Acrobat Std to Acrobat Pro.

I suggest you to follow the steps and check.
(a) click Start
(b) type services.msc in the search box, and then press enter.
(c) scroll down to Windows Audio and Windows Audio endpoint builder of Point
(d) both should be started and set to automatic if one or both are arrested.
(e) click the name to select it.
(f) click on restart the service at the top left.
(g) repeat for both if necessary. If some are not set to automatic, and then double-click the name and on the drop-down list to set the startup type to automatic and apply and ok your way out.

If you have a sound card, I suggest you uninstall the audio driver from the Device Manager and and then install the latest audio driver version from the sound card manufacturer's website.

I have a new job as a network administrator. So far, network devices have worked with the default configuration and IOS the factory. The thing is, even if I worked with Cisco devices, I've never had to deal with service contracts. I need to be able to update to IOS and may download different features sets. I don't need support, because it's obviously my job. I have been browsing Cisco's Web site and was lost (tons of links and information...). So, could someone point me in the right direction? Should I ask a sort of documents on my business? Contact the company that sold us the equipment?

Questions of getting started with Service contracts to small businesses
I recently bought small business Service contracts for my Cisco Small Business networking products. I know that I get support 24 x 7, as well as the ability to open cases taken in charge (I recently tried and it works fine).
I also know that I get next day material, as well as firmware upgrade replacement for my networking products.
Here are my some "Getting Started" questions:
1. If I need a replacement of material next day, how can I go to? Open a case of pension? I saw under the requests of support there is an option for the replacement of equipment.
2 will I be automatically informed of updates firmware for my networking products, or I have to look it up on the Support Center? I don't know how to upgrade the firmware of all my networking products. Is it possible to subscribe to a list of email or RSS feeds notifying me of updates firmware for my networking products?
3. I will announce when my service contract is about to expire so I can renew them, or is it my responsibility to do not forget to renew? I have to manually put on my calendar?

(1) to request an RMA number, you must open a case to the HWC. You can call 866-606-1866 24 x 7 to prosecute. If you do not have a support contract, (under warranty) you are only entitled to phone support 09:00-18:00 (local time) m.. You MUST be prepared to troubleshoot the device with the HWC engineer. Do not assume you can open a file and receive an RMA number without looking at the camera. Often, we can save the camera and make you save a lot of time.
(2) you can sign up for automatic alerts on updates of the firmware using this link and by selecting the devices you want updates on. The 2nd link allows you to manually check for updates.

(3) I checked with HWC contracts administrator. According to her, you should begin to receive alerts from 6 months to 90 days before the expiry of the contract. You may or may not be able to renew the contract, based on the life cycle of the product.

I'm waiting more than eight weeks replace spare parts to DELL for DELL Latitude E7250 and E7240 computers laptops! Does someone know how to complain and to speed up the process?
Initially, partner DELL says there is no spare part for sale! (it was the battery) your request and after I called DELL customer service, they changed their words and send a cost and delivery time 6-8 weeks (which is not acceptable). It makes no sense to wait for more than 8 weeks to get the knockout, battery or LCD for products still under warranty.
Unfortunately, DELL customer support could not help and their response was not acceptable, it seems that DELL customer support and DELL partner care not their client :(
Noting that we have more than 170 DELL Ultralight laptops and more than 300 computer desktop DELL Optiplex 7010 and 7020 only at the regional office and many others in the country offices.
