    Hi Christophe,

If the restoration of the point system is not there next steps to try to fix this would be to try running SFC/scannow in command prompt. This KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747 explains in detail.

If that fails, you may need to do a repair install to solve this problem. The steps are listed here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978788

  • Regional and language options have no Chinese language.

I tried to use some Chinese software and the program on my PC Windows XP Professional. So, I went to regional and language options added Chinese language. However, there was nothing of the Chinese language. I already downloaded SP3 and some Chinese files, but I can only read Chinese on the Internet. Programs and software I have installed on my PC were able to read a part of the Chinese. where I can get more languages, especially Chinese, for me using several languages and Chinese software or program on my PC? I think that my windows xp professional only support some Western languages, which does not include the Chinese, Japanese and some Asian languages.

I experienced a few problems here which was virtually anonymous to your problem, I wasn't able to check it out instead of clear.
Clear the check box, you must insert the CD of installation for the i386 file and then process. It could be solved.

  • No options display in the regions and languages of Windows 7 Home Premium.

    Hello

I need a support from you,

I bought a setrday tour here in Germany with Windows 7 Home Premium. But it came with Deutsch as a base language that I have no idea how work with the menu of the screen of welcome and all in German and I'm on pain. I am an Indian and working with the English and not able to find an option called 'Display language' keyboard and languages to change the display language tab. How if I could do that. Help, please.

The ability to change the language is one of the features that distinguishes the pinnacle of the cheaper versions - product differentiation. Like any company Microsoft have the right to charge what they want for their products. Their websites explain this, for example:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/compare?T1=tab15

I fear that it is a case of caveat emptor.

You might try sweet-talking to the company you bought the laptop from giving you an English version, purchase an English version or Ultimate.

    Good luck.   :)

Who's going to do...  I wonder why nothing appears in Device Manager however, but maybe it's a secret of Toshiba.

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

I searched the support section of the Toshiba www U.K version and didn't see exactly U200 for XP video drivers (they seem to be all Windows 7y), but there are some other set of questions that I can't understand the answer to... but you know since you have in front of you.

Here is the link to their support get you started:

    http://UK.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/generic/SUPPORT_PORTAL/

I've hoped to find exactly what you need, but do not see it.

I see him have a community of support online too, so if you can't find what you need, I have a question where the gurus of Toshiba probably spend time, and you can ask them why you don't see anything in the Device Manager.

  • A user needs administrative rights on their computers to change the formats of date under the sign of the region and Lanaguage?

Customize the format of long date in DD/MM/YYYY under control panel > region and language > Formats > more settings > Date > long date is available for a user with administrator privileges, but is available for a non-administrative user?

Since posting this question, I was able to test this scenario with the help of my computer SCIENCE Department.  It seems that all our portable business have a configuration of standard domain without administrator privileges by default account.  I turned on my laptop users and was able to change the long date in DD/MM/YYYY format proving you don't need administrator privileges to change the long date format.
