Registry warning

When I start the computer, I get a warning: could not load or run the specification in the "C:\Users\abc\LOCALS~1\Temp\msqoqx.cmd" registry make sure file exist in the registry. I wnet to the registry and FIND used. The file exists. How can I get the warning off the screen. Also my computer is now not close properly. Help, please.

Hello

What is the Uzehpokyke application? If you do not know do not run. Check with support.
You can also right-click on it - properties - Details tab to see if the information is here
to help you.

Remember you are trying to get rid of the error message asking msqoqx.cmd who
should be a program at startup if it cannot be.

You found msqoqx.cmd in the registry, which is just a reference to a missing file now,
and not the file itself. The registry is just a database of information and not the real
files will be located on the hard drive. So after the keys in a message here. Do not
worth posting keys that include mru.

Malicious software was previously taken or is now removed so all that is needed is to remove
the reference in the registry.

I hope this helps.

This continues a question Nov 16 initially answered by SureshI and then merged by SyedV on November 26. I followed the steps all the recommended and the problem persists. Reminder, the warning does not appear in safe mode, but it does after the running File Checker, and it does after a clean boot. I don't know what you think it should tell me.

In the event viewer I determined that 2 system errors are occurring at the time of the application in pop - up (i.e. the warning), one of them exactly at the same time. They had to do with services that have not started. I disabled these services, no effect on the appearance of the warning. Background on the application in pop information - up suggests that it may have to with a driver that is not available. I did a driver scan and see nothing that would cause the message.

I noticed that two application errors also occur at startup, but these come about five minutes after the application pop up, so I guess they aren't relevant.

Problem is now solved. The point of the error of HP Cue device detection was the key. The deactivation of the service did not help, but uninstall ALL HP software that I could find (and HP's pushy!) and then reinstalling the popup eliminated printing software.

  • is it possible and safe to open the registry of Windows 98 into XP RegEdit on a system dual boot?

I have reinstall some stuff on the side of a system XP dual boot, I found the instructions to transfer the configuration to a new machine, and these instructions include export the registry keys to a .reg file. Is there a way I can save myself a few reboots if I find more like that and you open the registry of Windows 98 on drive C with Regedit in XP?

If necessary, I can easily access the regedit win98 since Windows 98 program is on drive C and XP on the D. I don't want to corrupt the registry win98se, if I try to open it under XP.

    The procedure would be

Open the registry of Windows 98SE.
Export the key to a .reg file
    Close the damper of win98.
copy the key in the .reg file in the registry of xp in the normal way.

    SlickRCBD salvation,

Unfortunately you cannot open regedit (registry editor) for the operating system Windows 98 to computer of Windows XP that you will not be able to access the same. You must start the operating system to access its registry settings.

Note: Microsoft does not have the responsibility to transfer the registry settings of the operating system to another. Op can do on its own risk.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description of the problem, you cannot make changes in the registry, that you were able to do before. The question might be if there is a file system corruption or corruption of the registry settings. Then, I suggest you to try the steps below and see if it helps.

    Method 1

There could be a chance that there is a file system corruption. So, I suggest you run SFC scan and see if it makes a difference.

The file system check is a utility built into the operating system that will check for the corruption of system files. The sfc/scannow command. (System File Check) analyzes the integrity of all protected operating system files and replaces incorrect versions, damaged, altered, or damaged with correct versions where possible.

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7.

    • Go to Start, click all programs and open the Accessories.
    • Right-click on command prompt in the list programs, and then select run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click OK.
    • In the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

For more information, refer to this link:

    Method 2

If the problem persists, then there might be a corruption of the registry settings so, I suggest you to check the steps in the below mentioned thread and see if it helps you to solve the problem.
