  I have Acrobat 8 which was pre-installed when I bought the laptop (so I don't have disks and information). Now, I bought a new computer and I want to reinstall Acrobat 8.1.4 on this computer and uninstall the key on the old.

  Is this possible and if how do I proceed?

• installation of Adobe InDesign on replacement computer

  I had to replace my computer (new is an Asus with Windows 8). After downloading my Adobe InDesign software (InDesign 1.5 who worked on replaced computer with Windows XP), the software program opens, etc. but refuses to open the model files that I desperately need. There is a choice of files ending by, pdf, eps and pdf. It does not recognize one of these files.

  I can probably open and work with these files in photoshop Cs2, but prefers to work with InDesign.

  Any suggestions? Perhaps the 1.5 because InDesign is such old software?

  There is every chance that the problem could be the age of the software.  Your best bet will be to run the software in compatibility mode and see if that helps.

  Acrobat 9 standard is no longer available for download. You need to log in to your Adobe account, if it were a purchase online and then download from there.

  If the download was previously available under your account please contact our support to http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6team.  If the download was previously available then it can be reactivated.

  I use acrobat 9 standard for years, I bought on November 15, 2009.

  I just changed my PC (for windows 8.1) and would like to reinstall the software on my new PC. I don't seem to be able to re - download the software via the link in my account information (however I disabled it on my old pc).

  When you click on the download button, I get "you don't have to download.

  Is the only software that I can download acrobat 9, but my license key doesn't seem to work for this one.

  Could you please help me with this?

  I'm having a problem that seems to happen to others: the laptop on which I had initially installed Acrobat 8 died and when I tried to re - register the sw on the new computer, I can't switch to Adobe.  I have the original DVD with the serial number and I'm afraid that the sw will be disabled somehow.

  Wow... I can't believe what I just tried disabling my Acrobat 8.0 (for all the umpeenth time) and for the first time the authorized sw selection!  I've just disabled and re-enabled the sw and it seems to have worked!

  To transfer the license from one pc to another how to proceed is to 'Disable' the license first of the older machine.

  To accomplish this, you need to launch Acrobat, go to the 'Help' menu and select 'disable '.

  On the new machine, you can install Acrobat and then use the serial number to 'Turn on' the software and it will complete the transfer of license.
