  I have a disc of photos, that I need to be able to reference quickly.

  on my xp and 7 machines, when I open the file, each icon a tiny version of the image that opens when I clicked the file.  This allows an easy search without having to open each one just to see what they are.

  However, on my Vista machine, each icon is the same "mountain stage", so I have to open the file to look at the picture, greatly increasing the time it takes for me select the files I want.

  I tried to use view to change the tiles thumbnails, etc., but still have the same image on each icon.

  If you have already configured to show thumbnails instead of icons, then we will try to rebuild the icon cache.

  Just to make sure, here's how to configure Vista to display thumbnails:

  Go to control panel (start > Control Panel)
  Open System
  Click Advanced in the left menu "Missions" system settings
  On the Advanced tab, click Performance settings
  Check the box 'Show thumbnails instead of icons'

  Apply > OK > OK

  Here's the procedure to rebuild the icon cache: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/117229-icon-cache-rebuild.html.  It may take time for each file, but if all goes well, he'll recover icons in the thumbnails (since it is the selected option) when he does.

  Initial amount is the amount of the actual Bill.

  Amount remaining is the amount of the remaining balance invoice to pay.
