Reinstalling Windows 7 on a laptop

I bought a Sony VAIO that came with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

I had several problems with the notebook computer including the overheating, the ring tone as an aircraft engine and frequent blue screens.

So I decided to reinstall using the official .iso image file from this link:
http://MSFT-DNL.digitalrivercontent.NET/msvista/pub/X15-65805/X15-65805.ISO

I used Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to get the product key (which was different from what is under the laptop)
and installed without any problems.
Solved blue screens and airplane engine sounds!

However when I start they > activate windows, it tells me that I entered the product key is not valid.
Although everything seems to work properly - Windows updates, etc.

I want to confirm that I did this right as I don't want to pop up after a month by saying that I have to activate.

It's the Magical Jelly Bean info before you reinstall:

I think most of the technicians know how to use a recovery partition, but the real problem for the recovery of Windows 8, it is each brand (oem) will need an installation disc for their particular model. We can install a Dell windows 7 cd on any PC OEM and after doing the updates, it will itself attest. With windows 8 you can even not windows to be installed on the PC if the disk you put in does not support security in the BIOS.  In other words, you need the proper (HP, Dell, etc.) model numbers version of Windows 8 recovery CD similarly be able to install it.
If you are a system integrator or building a PC for yourself I think that the normal OEM cd should work as long as you you know number OEM KEY or product key. Its the BRAND PC which will be a pain in the buttocks in the future for technicians who have to reinstall Windows 8 on a VIRGIN hard drive AGAIN.

  • Reinstall Windows 7 Home Basic laptop Fujitsu A530

    Hello

I bought a Fujitsu AH530 Laptop a few years back.

I had Windows 7 Home Basic pre installed on my laptop. I have the product key original glued to the back of my laptop.

I had backup of my important files. Fujitsu had provided me with Windows 7 installation CD and CD drivers.

How can I reinstall Windows 7 Home Basic Edition and restore my laptop to factory settings.

    Please help urgently.

    Thank you.

    Diallo Blanchet

Use the drivers disk dated Fujitsu since it is a path way to have a functional system, you can always update drivers through Windows Update. It is not essential to have the latest drivers.

Insert the Windows 7 reinstall disk

Restart your computer immediately begin to type f12 for the boot menu.

When the Startup menu appears, choose option 2 or 3 for the DVD player.
When he turns the disc and says "Press any key to boot from the DVD" press a key
    Select a language, INSTALL now
Accept the license and custom advanced install
Patition 0 2 SYSTEM - Select disk DRIVE ADVANCED (lower-right)
Choose the option remove on all partitions display. (1 by 1)
Then click on new, apply and choose the Format...
    Click next to start installation.
It takes about 20 minutes to install the base OS

Proceed to installing the drivers during the installation is complete.

Run Windows Update updates of additional driver.

I would avoid drivers to be honest if they work quite well already.

Hi I hope someone can help me, my lappy wont recognize the disk im (genuine) windows tries to use, disk is fine coz its been tried on other lappys and my fine coz of disk drives, he plays a different cd/dvd ive tried

You may not use any dvd of Windows 7 to reinstall windows, unless it's a commercial version. Normally retail drives are limited to a single computer, so you need to uninstall your version of windows installed on the previous computer. You will need to change the order of the Boot sequence in the BIOS to boot from a Windows 7 disc, and that's probably why your attempts have failed.

Reinstall windows using the diskette is not the way to solve your problems. Your laptop have will come with a pre-installed Windows version. What is this version of Windows and what is your mobile brand and model?

Type system information in the search box above the Start button and press ENTER. Select file, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Please download your disk from sky to share and post a link here.
    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02dB-4665-993a-08d865088d65

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options, System Restore and delete all but the last system restore point.

You can not uninstall and reinstall defender in vista

It is part of the vista operating system

and only have AN antivirus installed

more than one can cause system conflicts

and most of the AVs disable defender

read this information on the Defender:

    ·                         If you use microsoft security essentials avg avira mcafee norton etc they disable the vista version of windows defender by default

the basics of Microsoft security has its own version of windows defender

and other anti-virus programs use their own particular type of application to scan for spyware and malware

It of nothing to worry and is the default action, which is designed for them to do

and read this information to microsoft:

Error message when you run Windows Defender: «Error 0x800106ba»

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/931849

    for malware problems, read this:

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill

If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.

  • Reinstalling windows 7 on a laptop comes with pre-installed windows

I bought my Dell XPS two or three years, and it came with a preinstalled version of Windows 7 64-bit. I would now like to format and perform a new installation of the same version of Windows.

I already have a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc (tested on an old machine server and that market), I wrote down the product ID (found in the computer-> properties-> Windows activation), which looks like xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx, and also, using a few different 3rd party programs Magic Jelly Bean, ProduKey, Belarc), I found my product key, which looks like xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx.

These two will be enough to activate my Windows after I have format my computer? Can I first of all turn off somewhere before formatting to release the license?

I received my DVD of a link provided by a moderator on this forum (there was a link to msft.digitalrivercontent.net).

I already have a backup system full (using the backup and restore of windows tool) on an external drive in case something goes wrong and am currently backing up my personal data as well as the basic driver.

I find the COA sticker on the underside of my laptop, so I hope that I now have the correct product key.

Thank you very much for the help!

    You are welcome.

As you have the ISO digitalriver download on DVD do this way:

How to do a clean install; and Yes, to use the product key on the COA sticker you have found with the method chosen to reinstall:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-Windows-7-a.html

By using the downloaded ISO file method can require the Activation of phone.

If it does require phone activation, do not follow Demand of Auto, but brace yourself for a real person explain as to what has been done for purposes of re-setup

"How to activate Windows 7 by phone '

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/18715-activate-Windows-7-phone.html

The above method also requires that you go to your computer manufacturer's website > Support and downloads Section > locate your model number and operating system > then download and install the latest drivers for it.

  • How do I reinstall Windows 7 on Acer laptop upgrade

I bought a computer laptop acer Travelmate 7730. A year ago.

for about 3 months, I have experienced a problem with the computer about freezing, causing my computer laptop in a hold, unable to do anything with the computer freezing and any action unable to respont. I've only been able to stop it and start again, manually: (.)

I have enough of the problem, since it interrupts my daily work in school and my photoshop work to ruin.

so I thought that a resettlement would contribute to my laptop, but my computer was preinstalled vista, and I received an offer when windows 7 is released, so I've updated. now I can't figure out how to reinstall my computer

Sorry if there is no error of gramma, English is not my native language

You should have a media or recovery partition to reinstall Vista. Generally, Atl + F10.  This will reinstall Vista and from there you can upgrade to Windows 7 again.

Then go to the Acer support website and search the Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.
    http://GD.PanAm.Acer.com/home/

If you have Windows 7 drivers then download to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them.
Install the drivers for the card mother/chipset first, then the SATA, LAN, Audio drivers,
and all the other remaining drivers you downloaded.

BIOS updates: you should check to see if there was one, or sometimes several updates BIOS for the motherboard. Read (if provided) which solves the update. Sometimes a newer BIOS update will fix the problem. Read the instructions on how to your BIOS update/flash very carefully and be more you understand the process. There is a risk of a bad flash/update occurs which can make your system unbootable.

Check the download site of the manufacture of the graphics card for the latest Windows 7 drivers for your card.

  • Reinstall windows XP on A60

    Hello

I need to reinstall windows xp on my laptop A60 (the one with the DVD writer on this subject), the recovery disk does not all drivers to this topic and does not load to the top when you put it in the drive and the Windows XP disk came with the laptop. I'm unable to close, ctrl - alt - del does not work most of the time and CPU usage history is running VERY high and erratic.

A new photoshop CS does not or TURBO LISTER for ebay (this is what I see - sell my art of photoshop on ebay) and it also takes forever to stop, sometimes it does not allow the command ctrl - alt... does not work I have to manually shut down.

I downloaded quarentined and ad-aware software and destroyed a lot of bugs, but I still need to reinstall windows - any ideas anyone?

The computer has 4 months - if that helps at all.

    Thank you!! :)

    Judd (Miss)

    Hi Juddlin

I also have professional WXP and it works correctly. Sorry, but I'm a bit confused with your ad. First of all I want to know everything was working properly when you start the laptop first time computer. I ask this question because in the beginning, the laptop is preinstalled by Toshiba.

I do not understand when you said this doesn t recovery disc have all the drivers. As far as I know recovery disk made up of all the drivers for all the hardware components of your laptop. Just if you replace certain hardware components, it is possible that you need some updates to the driver.

If you want to reinstall OS save your data on the second partition if you have one, or save on a medium such as DVD or CD.
