Rejected kiosk app?

It is our first application using DPS, we have submitted to Apple for newsstand distribution. I got this feedback when the application was rejected. Any help would be much appreciated.

2.24

We found that your application is selected for the newsstand, but does not include content that is appropriate for the newsstand, as required by Annex 2 of the developer program license iOS. Respecting the conditions of annexes 1, 2 and 3 of the the developer program license agreement is required by the App Store Review Guidelines.

Specifically, Appendix 2, Section 3.13 States,

"License Applications that provide subscription services can be included in the Apple application kiosk on condition that, in addition to the requirements set out in paragraphs 3.8 et seq., you:

"- Check the content of the licensed Application is a periodical (e.g. newspaper or magazine).

, It would be appropriate to disable the "kiosk" and then resubmit your app. You learn more about the management of the "kiosks" in the iTunes Connect Developer Guide.

The guidelines are clear: kiosk is for periodicals. You will need to convince your content Apple is considered a periodical.

What is a fast alternative to starting a business of DPS app if Apple Store rejects the App? We are in a long time and can't wait for Apple to approve. We host the application elsewhere. How we host our DPS application on the website of our customers? Thank you.

Unless I misunderstood the question, you can do what you want to do. Apple does not allow to circumvent their public applications store and host on a Web site. The exception is an enterprise application, which requires a company to both Apple and Adobe account. This type of business application can be distributed only within the company. If that's what you want to do, you can learn more here:

Another option is to add the development application to multiple devices and use them for your demo.

  • iOS App rejection - In - App Purchase restore presentation

I recently submitted my application to Apple for approval and that it was rejected, this time because the binary allows a feature restore "already purchased In - App Purchase products"; However, in iTunes Connect I have something setup in the In - App purchases, and the price of the app is set to release.

Here is the message from apple:

    Restoration In - App purchase

We found that your app includes a feature to restore already bought products from the In - App Purchase.

It would be appropriate to revise your binary to remove this feature.

For more information on In - App purchase 'types of purchasability', please visit the Guide of purchase of iTunes Connect App Setup

Here are two screenshots, they sent me to the problem.

You say that your application only has not any how in-app purchases implemented? If so, I would suggest to rebuild your application. The latest version of DPS 2015 included patch that removes the option 'Restore purchase' if the app does not purchase. • Newsstand App rejected - in-app purchase issue

    Hello

We submitted an application multi-folio subscription for review, but it was rejected for the following reason:

"2.3 we found that your application did not reach the basic functionality described in the release notes or your marketing material, as required by the App Store Review Guidelines.

When the application is launched, all the available numbers can be downloaded for free. Although the user can buy renewable subscription automatically, buying renewable subscription automatically does not have any content.

It is expected that buying renewable subscription automatically provides more recent issue.

It would be appropriate to review your app to ensure that this function is implemented entirely or to review your Description of the Application, Release Notes and screenshots to remove this content. »

Could someone advise me on this? The situation is that we have a free and open application which contained a "sample issue" folio (not a complete problem). This folio has been set free and public.

In-app purchase, we submitted it was a subscription 1 year renewable automatically, which has been set to "allowed to sell.

    My questions are:

    1. is it OK that argued us that a sample, no number 1 (I have been informed by a reseller DPS it's OK).

    2. If the app renewable subscription purchase is automatically changed to be NOT allowed to sell, this difficulty? My thought is that in this way, we want to erase only the subscription for sale once that question 1 is transferred.

    Thanks for any help!

Yes. You have already published the free/public folio, and now you need to publish a folio of retail/public. When you publish the folio, you must specify the product ID. This product ID must match the product ID for no consumables in-app purchase that you set up in iTunes Connect. In this way, Apple can test your content at retail.

A common error is to use the same product ID for all folios you post. Don't, don't. For each sheet of the retail sale, you will need to implement a different product ID in iTunes Connect. For best results, use the format com.mycompany.myapp.issuename , such as com.bobpublishing.nwscenery.20140601 for the June issue and com.bobpublishing.nwscenery.20140701 for the July issue.

The folio of detail you post doesn't have to be finished. Apple just needs to be able to download something when the app is approved. Just make sure that you control when the app goes live during the presentation of the app.

Note that you can send a whole bunch of in-app purchases to Apple for future folios retail. This so that you don't have to wait for approval from Apple to publish the folio. When you submit these in-app purchases, Apple didn't need to see the corresponding folio.

  • Prepare the DPS kiosk app

    Hello

I was in the final stages of this our magazine app and configure the options of newsstand in iTunes Connect. When I tried to download the application with the Application Loader I got a warning that the info.plist file was missing some information for booth newspapers. This file is located in the app package and had already been generated during application.

I tried to change it manually, but it did not work.

Question: Is there something I should be done when the export of the app from the DPS somehow flag or he ready for booth so that these lines of code are already present?

Otherwise, no one knows in a safe manner and relaible updated the info.plist file? I have TextWrangler, but may have been placing the code in the wrong places.

    Thanks for the help!
    Steve

Yes, you DPS Professional Edition or Enterprise Edition to build a Newstand application.

  • 'app shows a blank white screen' rejection go to app world

My application was rejected world app with this reason:

"app displays white screen of white (does not load correctly).

It consists of a few javascript using the javascript box2dweb library. It works fine in the emulator to ripple. I have a Playbook tablet, so I can't test it on a real device.

  • What are the benefits lost by choosing to publish a standalone app vs kiosk application?

Questioning the benefits lost by publishing a standalone app vs a newsstand one.

Can I still send push notifications to users of stand-alone application?

Questions can always be downloaded in the background?

A detailed checklist on the features available for booth only applications would be nice to see.

Newspaper kiosk apps get background downloads. You can always send notifications push for applications non-kiosque to newspapers, but for the moment, push does not support background downloads in applications non-kiosque to newspapers. It just displays a red badge on the icon to indicate the number of new issues.

Support background downloads in applications non-kiosque is on the road map, but I do not have an estimate of the time.

  • Can I have my multi-folio and kiosk application?

I was wondering could someone help me.

How can I make my app available by itself and kiosk multi-folio? I need to create a multi-folio with iTunes subscription? Do I have to create two versions?

And how to download for approval by using the Application Loader?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Michelle

In theaters, it is possible, but it would not be a good idea and would probably result in one if not both of your applications being rejected or pulled from the store. I recommend that you consider the strengths and weaknesses of these two investments and choose the better of the two.

Kiosk apps require an in-app subscription purchase (price can be free) while the non-kiosque apps don't require subscriptions.

  • App iOS9 newsstand in the Canada

I write the Canada where the application of new is still not available and we have to do with the booth newspapers.

Looks like my kiosk app on my iPhone

That's what it should look like according to Wikipedia

So there should be access to a bank from which you can select magazine subscriptions, but that seems to be missing my version.

Why my version is missing the store?

The newsstand app has been abandoned with the release of the iOS 9. All subscriptions that you had in the kiosk application when you upgraded to iOS 9 were automatically placed in a folder named newsstand. You can leave your subscription in this folder or move out of the folder on the desktop or any other folder if you want. You can add more magazines directly from the App Store app - open that and either search for a specific name or loss featured then categories and then newspapers and Magazines magazine.

  • How to publish a new version of an app for BlackBerry 10

I had my application for BBOS5-7, and now I've built for BlackBerry 10.

Should I publish it as an updated version or a new application?

If I keep the same application but this release as an update, how can I post a screenshot for both applications? I want to keep both versions for the two operating systems in the world of BlackBerry.

He also tells me that I have a different Package ID when I download the file BAR. What is the Package ID?

If the two versions of your app do exactly the same thing, I would say just as a new version. Which makes it easier for yourself if you want to update something later.

If you want to add screenshots for the different versions, you can modify your application. Press the pencil in the provider portal, click on the tab called "Graphics". On the page that opens then you will have the choice between "Default", "BlackBerry OS 7 and earlier ', 'Phone BlackBerry smart, 10' and 'BlackBerry PlayBook. In these sections, you can add the graphics exactly where you want them to be. I think that's what you wanted?

On the package ID, I find the explanation in this post the best to explain it: http://devblog.blackberry.com/2012/03/package-id-rejected-by-app-world/

Keep us informed of what you ultimately choose as your option. I'm curious :-)

  • Update App help

I sent my Playbook app that I created using the APK for BAR converter, I used an AIR for android app in the converter, but my app was rejected because she asked the installation of adobe AIR.  I then created the app just for the Playbook, no Android Blackberry conversion and this which not.  Now, when I try to download an update, it is rejected as (he said) it has a different Publisher ID than the previous version.  I opened the manifest of my original app (the one I created with the converter) and uses the Publisher ID in that one.  Still no luck.

    Help, please

    Thank you.

This should explain everything for you:

    http://devBlog.BlackBerry.com/2012/03/package-ID-rejected-by-app-world/

Note that it is not the Publisher Id that matters here...  (and he's only asked for anything anyway, I think).

  • My "FindMyCar" Application rejected

With product ref (ticket 1019501), Blackberry has rejected the App citing the reason: "Application show white screen." When the user presses setLocation, we show progress fetch GPS user dialog box lat\long.if cancel the operation, App displays the error message (to check the setting of the GPS) and flow back to the previous page. If App get the success of Lat\long, we use Google Map to show the location. Perhaps, there is possibility that Google maps takes awhile to load the data (depending on network connectivity), showing the white screen for a while. Even the Blackberry sample "webMapsView" or the web browser behave the same way. Could someone BlackBerry please tell me why my application get rejected and what I should do next for approval?

  • How can remove content from producer Folio so I n ' control see this content in Folio producer but I see it in the APP?

I am writing, because Apple rejected our APP. The reason is that there is a test magazine, but in our DPS Folio Producer, we do not see the magazine. They want that to eliminate it, but we cannot because we cannot see it. Instead, from our Ipad we can see it.
