Relative Maximum

Hello

I want to find the 'maximum Relative' in a list of values by using a select statement.

"What is the relative Maximum?

This is the highest value in a series, before starting to decline.

Look at these three examples:

(A) 5 4 3 6 8 9 7 10 11 it is 9, because as the numbers start to increase, the following value is less than 9.

(B) 5 6 7 8 3 4 is 7, because the next value is less than 7.

(C) 5 4 3 2 1 it is 5, because there is none greater than 5 values, the number decreased to only.

Let's create a table with 2 columns: NN and VALUE:

CREATE table TEST (NN number, VALUE);

Complete with a set of values, for example the A) series:

INSERT into TEST (1.5);

INSERT into TEST (2,4);

INSERT into TEST (3.3);

INSERT into TEST (4.6);

INSERT into TEST (5.8);

INSERT into TEST (6.9);

INSERT into TEST (7.7);

INSERT into TEST (8,10).

INSERT into TEST (9, 11);

Question... How do I retrieve the relative Maximum values ordered by NN, this is the 6th line with the value 9?

Thank you

Why are they not also related maxima 5 and 11?  Is it because the very first number or the last in the list cannot be a relative maximum?

(B) 5 6 7 8 3 4 is 7, because the next value is less than 7.

(C) 5 4 3 2 1 it is 5, because there is none greater than 5 values, the number decreased to only.

If 5, at the beginning, is relative to the maximum here, so why not in the example has) also?

Thanks for posting the sample data.  You must test these statements before posting.  All insertions fail because they lack you the keyword VALUES.

Don't forget to post your version of Oracle, too.  From 12.1, there is a new way to do this.  LEAD and LAG, as shown below, will work in Oracle 8.1 or more.

SELECT nn, value

CASE

WHAT value > LAG (value) OVER (ORDER BY nn)

AND value > LEAD (value) OVER (ORDER BY nn)

THEN 'RELATIVE MAXIMUM.

END as rm

OF the test

ORDER BY nn

;

This will display all the lines marking the relative maxima, like this:

NN VALUE RM

--------------- --------------- ----------------

1               5

2               4

3               3

4               6

5               8

6 9 MAXIMUM RELATIVE

7               7

8              10

9              11

If you want to view only the relative maxima, then you can do the same thing in a subquery and then, in a super-requete, use a WHERE clause as

WHERE rm IS NOT NULL

    A device can create only three accounts iCloud, after which still attempts to bring the message you see. This is related to the material and there is no way around it - reset makes no difference. What you can do is to create a new account iCloud on another Mac or iOS (not Windows) device, then you can sign in on your phone.

  • Satellite M110 - upgrade RAM and a maximum capacity

    I have a Satellite M110 and want to update the RAM as much as possible. It has the RAM of origin of the plant. The manual give me model numbers of memory depending on the model of the computer - that is to say either PC2-4200 or PC2-5300. How can I say that I have? I am not either of these numbers anywhere. 1 GB is the more RAM will have this computer?

    Hi lenore104,

    The maximum RAM capacity is also related to the chipset. In addition the maximum RAM capacity can be found in the user manual.
    Did you find this information?

    The specifications of the memory modules, you can find on the memory module itself. So if you remove the module memory current you should see a sticker on it with technical information such as PC2-4200.

    If you post the exact model of the laptop number, we can search the Web from Toshiba site for maximum capacity.

  • What is the maximum amount of memory in a Pavilion P6020 - Win8 upgrade?

    I can't find what the maximum amount of memory can be placed in the Pavilion P6020.

    As it is necessary to do a re-install of the operating system supplied with the system (Vista), I would check if it makes sense to improve the Win8-64 bit system and increase memory to 3 GB to 4 or even better of 6 GB.

    Currently, the system has 3 GB of memory (1x1GB & 1x2GB), the way in which he indulged.

    This configuration really makes the relative system slow lately.

    Peter

    Hi, Peter:

    There are several variations of the P6020.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/pfinder?cc=us & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 228 & sw_lang = & Tool = & query = P6020

    I think they all have the same specifications which indicate the maximum memory you can install in the PC is 2 x 2 GB memory (4 GB).

    Before you "sign on the dotted line," to buy Windows 8, go ahead and start the download and it will first run an Upgrade Advisor to check your PC and report incompatibilities.

    Your PC is more than likely won't be supported by HP with windows 8 drivers. My main concern would be the video card, do not have drivers available.

  • HP Pavilion e033tx-15 taken Maximum supported RAM

    I intend to buy a 15-e033tx Pavilion. Main use would be for software development. Client and the server end development involving heavy stuff like Oracle 12 c and WebLogic.  Also for casual games and movies. I would be grateful if someone could answer the following questions. I tried the net but found no reliable answers.

    1. What is the maximum amount of memory supported? (he would support 12 GB?)

    2. I've seen complaints on issues related to the use of the features of ATI dedicated graphics. Are there any known issues?

    A quick response would be much appreciated.

    It can take 16 gigabytes of RAM. And I would not be inaccurate to say there has been no problem with switchable graphics. Many people have bad especially after a Windows 8.1 update. I think this is generally a problem of the user, since the switchable graphics use is slightly higher than the capacity of the average user.

  • Maximum storage capacity for RN316

    I know there are other topics covering this, but not for the model, I am interested to. I notice conflicting information on what maximum storage capacity, are supported by the RN316. For example, looking at the Datasheet on the Netgear product site, it shows the RN316 supports up to 60 TB and is expandable up to 128 TB with external units.

    https://www.NETGEAR.com/home/products/connected-storage/RN316.aspx#tab-TechSpecs

    Here, the graph shows however differently (hoping it is exceeded). According to this, the same model only supports 24 TB of max and is expandable up to 64 TB with external units.

    http://KB.NETGEAR.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/7010/~/ReadyNAS%3A-expansion?CID=wmt_netgear_organic

    In addition, said Amazon list it has a limit of 4 TB of each Bay, but hard drive compatibility shows that it supports 8 to even 6-disc (including TB WD drives Red 6 I ordered). So I'm a bit confused.

    Are the limits of capacity related to older hardware, or is it something that is been upgraded over time through updates firmware for the ReadyNAS OS 6? I bought six to 6-disc for my RN316 and intend to use RAID6 - up to 36 TB of physical capacity and capability real/loglcal to 24. Can anyone confirm if this configuration would be supported by this model? Thank you

    When the RN316 came out 6 TB discs were not available. Once we were able to test and qualify the and add all the necessary improvements to the firmware works well with them, we were able to add 6 to discs to the compatibility list.

    10 TB disks start to become available now. Regarding which models will be tested against this ability or to work with, it remains to be seen.

  • Exceeding the maximum switching voltage

    Hi, I have a quick question (hopefully) on electrical safety and a switch PXI-2536.

    In a series of tests that I am performing, I have one requiring the connection of an output channel of my camera, an entry to a DMM and the positive power of my power supply (via a pull-up resistance) through the switch. The device can run from 12V - 24V and lists of plug switch technique is the maximum switching as voltage +/-12VDC, so I think I should be fine as long as I run at 12V.

    However, I have another test that does not require anything which is connected through the switch, but it affects the output of the power supply 28V to check the power circuit. I can cut the ways of the switch and shut up (by program) during this test, but I don't know if that actually gives him no protection.

    Can someone tell me if I'm in danger of damaging my switch, if I have one of these channels (a column in this case, if it makes a difference) connected to a 28V source, even if it is not open and connection?

    Thank you
    Jon

    JWanklin,

    Which is expected. (The relay will remain open despite the software telling you that it is closed).

    Surge protection is at the hardware level and does not give any feedback on the State of the software. If you try to close the switch, the software and hardware will always try to drive the FET to be closed and will always report as closed relay. The FET used on this specific switch has the feature, where it will open the circuit if it detects that the voltage at the terminals of the switch is greater than 12 volts to the chassis ground.

    Can someone tell me if I'm in danger of damaging my switch, if I have one of these channels (a column in this case, if it makes a difference) connected to a 28V source, even if it is not open and connection?

    In view of the surge protection, you are technically without danger of damage to the switch, but as the Maximum switching voltage is 12 v CC, I wouldn't recommend keeping the 28V on the column, if it is not used. Ideally, you should never have anything related to the switch which is purposfully above the maximum switching voltage.

  • Maximum y-axis after restoration of zoom

    I use LV 12.0 and I created a raster trace in which on the axis, I have values from 1 to 9, each indicating a different channel.

    Because the points related to the uppermost canal would be very close to the top of the chart, I

    programmatically set the Yscale.range.maximum as the number of channels + 1 (= 10). In this way, there is more space above the last line of the channel.

    However, when I take a zoom by clicking on the lower left corner of the graphic palette of zoom, it is maximum scheduled number of channels (= 9) return value automatically.
    See attached scressnhots.

    How to add a few more space on the top of that graphic in keeping the points of the last round in the same position?

    Acting on the size of the parcel or the boundaries of the parcel does not seem to help because they also stretch points with the chart.

    I would also like to indicate the name of the channels on the value axis instead of the values from 1 to 9, but I could not find any suitable, I could use for this.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    MG

    Regarding your first question, there is an event that graphics can be triggered when their axis scaling of the changes, you can use it to intercept the changes and reset the ordinate as needed.

    Regarding your second question, I don't know.

  • DAQmx C API - maximum number of simultaneous input available channels.

    I develop software to purchase customized using the C/C++ API. I have no particular problem with implementing the sample clock, tampons, modes etc. But I have a problem with determination one of the properties of a device:

    What is the maximum number of supported Ia-sampled tracks simultaneously (in a task) for a particular device...

    I managed to read all other properties (maxrate, physical, ranges channels, Terminal configurations...), but the mentioned property is not found in the API reference. This is related to the error -200168: "number of acquisition channels exceeds the maximum of the device. Well order is not for this, I need the "maximum of device", MAX points out as 'maximum number of channels allowed:» Is this hardcoded in MAX property and must be known for each device, or is there a corresponding value in the DAQmx API? Also if this is the case, where in the documentation and/or specifications of each device is it said?

    If it's interesting - I use for most devices M-series (USB6211, USB6009, USB6212...).

    Thanks in advance. I will be grateful for all comments and suggestions.

    ttaneff is a kind of corner cases where you have multiple copies of the same physical channel in your task.  It is sometimes useful for various reasons (for example to be able to enjoy the same channel with a different terminal configuraiton or with another range of entry, or maybe something like this).

    Fast experience, the M Series devices can have up to 4095 channels. The 6009 can have up to 8. There is no property node that refers to these values, and I'm not even not aware of any documentation with respect to them.

    However, you can have more channels configured (on each device) if all of the following characteristics apply:

    1. you have sets of channels with a similar configuration (physical channel, range, terminal configuraiton all identical)
    2. these strings are grouped consecutively to the task (e.g., chA, chA, chA, chB, chB, chB,...)
    3. the number of channels in each group of consecutive channels is the same (I'm not sure of the limit of the maximum size of the groups - memory and performance problems are probably your factor limiting)
    4. the number of groupings is limited to the numbers above (4095 M series, 8 for 6009).

    Here are some examples:

    EDIT: I just realized that you are using the C API, apologies for examples of LabVIEW - I hope that the examples always wise.

  • Video randomly resizes the maximum size on my HP P6740F desktop computer

    My wife has a PC HP P6740F.  It is currently running Windows 7 Premium.  His computer is connected to a ViewSonic monitor.  It uses the Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 and the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard.  There were no changes to the computer hardware.

    We had our computers for about 15 or 16 months.  For the last month at random times its screen will grow in size until it reaches the maximum.  She can bring to the size by holding the CTRL key and using the scroll on the mouse wheel.  She played a game called Jewel Quest and it makes certain demands on the video card.  We do not know if this problem is related to the video game or another problem.  I asked him to start her computer after she ended the game but that has no effect.

    I also have the same computer and I have not had problems.  I do not play video games, and that's why I thought that it might be related.

    I wonder if it's a known problem or how to fix.

    Thank you.

    Hello Abbey_Normal,

    I would venture to say that this is not a known problem or you would go into the same problem as well, but it may be a problem with the driver that is currently installed on the computer.

    1. go to the control panel

    2. Select system and security

    3. then choose Device Manager

    4. under the terms of graphics card would be the monitor drivers, do a right click and uninstall

    At this point your monitor will turn off and we need allow Windows reinstall the driver, but we need to restart the computer.

    To restart

    1. press the Windows key

    2. press the right arrow key twice

    3. press r

    After the reboot it should log on Windows as usual and re-install the drivers. Check the device to see if everything works correctly at this time.

  • What is the maximum allowed by a HP Pavilion zv5000 laptop RAM allocation

    The specifications for an HP Pavilion Notebook ZV5160US (DZ330U) available on HP web site indicates the allocation of eligible as maximum RAM (1x256M, 1x1GB). In the meantime, Crucial downloadable memory scan suggests that 2x1GB is a legitimate laptop SODIMM (2) configuration. Who should I believe; and, in addition, what truth is there for some versions of Windows only benefiting from extra RAM so memory "match" the size and configuration? This laptop runs Windows XP Home Edition.

    Thank you, Paul!

    I did not hold much hope of much attention to issues related to this one laptop dated - but I am pleasantly surprised to find that someone was interested to address an issue that may find application even in conjunction with the latest computer models.

    Given your answer, several nuggets of info available on the web (and on the web site of HP) and information from scan of Crucial memory, I will probably go with modules of memory of 1 GB. For sure, current applications can use (and most certainly end up using) all the RAM, you can collect!

  • Maximum frequency in resource monitor

    In Task Manager, Performance tab, button resource monitor, which is the "percentage of the maximum frequency" and is related to the Turbo Boost?

    I have a 3.4 GHz quad-core i7 with Windows 7 64 bit.  The percentage of the maximum frequency is usually 103%, but sometimes it's 102 or 101.  I downloaded an Intel program that displays the status of the Turbo Boost.  I had all four cores running, so the Turbo Boost was 3.5.  The Max Freq 103%, and being about 103 percent of the 3.4 3.5, I think that showed the Turbo Boost.  But I ended up some processes, the Turbo Boost has increased, but this percentage is not gone - in fact, he came down.  So, what's the percentage of frequency and is related to the Turbo Boost?

    Hello

    You can not push beyond a certain point and some variance is scheduled. Check with
    Intel, documentation and community support. It's really a hardware problem and
    not directly related to Windows so that you ask the right questions however in the wrong
    places. A person fully familiar with your processor and your hardware can give you
