Relocation of DW will destroy the files of my site? [edited by moderator subject]

I have Dreamweaver CS4 for Mac.  Recently, I tried to update my Web site and received an error code 150:30, my license has expired.  I downloaded the recovery of license application, but it doesn't start.  Should I uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver?  It will destroy my files?

The files of your site are not stored within DW.  Separately, they are stored on your local hard drive. Remove the CS4 will not affect your site files.  But before you resort to re-install CS4 check out this other link.

I have Dreamweaver MX and upgrade to CS6. How do I do that? Do I have to buy another version or there at - it an upgrade?  I don't see any information about it.

MX from Macromedia does not qualify for upgrades b/c it's too old.

Or buy CS6 outright.  Just keep in mind that CS6 is no update receiver any longer and it's 4 versions of the latest version available from the creative cloud Plan.

  • Will be the files OE be saved if you save on XP - Home user accounts?

Will be the files OE be saved if you save on XP - Home user accounts?

I think not so much, and I wouldn't trust him anyway.

I use this tool. During installation, you create a folder in a location of your choice for the backup of data to go. I keep mine in My Documents. Whenever my documents are stored outdoors, a copy of this record is as well. If something happens, if you reinstall the program, you can return OE the way it was by restoring the folder you created.

This freeware tool backs up everything on OE in seconds. Ignore what is written in red. Which refers to another program.

When you try to move an image to a folder, whatever that means - "this will cause the file on the disk to remove. If you continue, this movement or any changes you made before it can be canceled?

I saw wording like this before, and I don't think it's anything to worry about. I don't know why Adobe chose these specific words, that your changes are certainly editable after the move.

  • Removing photos rejected when the catalog is in offline mode will remove the file when the disk is reconnected?

    Hello

Let's say that I am not connected to my lightroom files and just navigate using the catalog offline.

Now imagine I reject and delete a photo, lightroom deletes the actual photo in the folder of the next time my photos liebrary is online? (or will it just remove Intelligent forecasting and thumbnail library and keeps the file source intact without my knowledge of its existence?)

    Thank you

    K

Thank you for your patience and to specify your query.

As you say, you have created Smart Preview and unplugged the external hard drive.

Now, if you apply the filter to the rejected images and try to delete the images, you will get the dialog box below.

As you can see, it is said that it will remove the file only from the Lightroom Catalog.

As it is impossible to find the source location, you will not be provided with an option to remove the images from the computer or external hard drive (in your case).

The files will remain as it is on your external hard drive.

If you want to remove the both original files, I you suggest to connect the hard drive and then choose Remove disk to remove the catalog, as well as an external hard drive.

    I hope this helps.

  • Manage Sites window is blank after upgrade. How can I tell Dreamweaver where are the files to my site?

    Hello

Running Dreamweaver on CC. I updated yesterday and now when I go to 'Manage the Sites' the window is empty. In the local files on the right side window, it shows all my folders starting with "Computer" as the root. I really want to avoid having to add to each site (with the news server etc.). I can't see an .ste file in one of the site folders. Nothing appears in the preferences that will allow me to set the path to the folder that contains all the files of my site. Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Judith

He chalked it up to a lesson learned

Once your sites are defined immediately export them in files STE.

  • Photoshop CS6 will save the file as EPS or PDF.

Hi guys. Forum first time poster here. It left me speechless.

Computer: Intel (r) Core i7 with 16 GB of RAM and 600 GB free on my C: drive, you use Windows 10 and extended CS6.

I have a complex shape file (made primarily of a pen tool) which is a solid color, with the text of the string in a headband which have been converted to shapefiles. I merged the individual forms into one, and it won't save. I tried to save it with them separated, and it won't save as EPS or PDF. It will save as PNG, JPEG and PSD.

I need to save as EPS or PDF so that I can have sent to the printer.

Both get a message "will not save due to program error".
She will record her earnings per share if I remove "include vector data", but I need that checked. So, what could be the problem? All the paths look accurate.

    Help?

    * Oh! And I got 2 other people try to save the original file in case it was my program, and that they could not do it either. IT's not Photoshop, this is the file. Photoshop AND has access to 74% of usage, so it's not that either. **

And you made me find the answer, Trevor.Dennis.

You helped me to realize that the original forms have been disturbing Photoshop. Either he had too many vector points or... a link curve that he did not like... so since they are all form files, I merged them all together. Then, with the tool pen is selected, click right and choose 'set Custom Shape'... After about 10 minutes of waiting, Photoshop has accepted this and allowed me to save.

Then, I created the new document and put the image there via the custom shape file. And he saved.
    TADA!

    Thanks again,

    Gwenn

  • Archives to remove RMAN will save the files on a backup server?

    Environment:
Oracle 11.2.0.3 EE on Solaris 10.5

I do NOT currently use an RMAN Repository (coming soon).

I have a primary database, sending logs to a wait.

My retention policy is defined as 'WINDOW of RECOVERY OF 8 DAYS'.

Question: RMAN will remove the log archiving of files on the standby server, after that they become obsolete based on the retention policy or I have to delete manually via command o/s?

The fact that I do NOT use an RMAN Repository at the time where it makes a difference?

Cannot find the answer in the documentation.

    Thank you very much!!

    -gary

    Hello again Gary;

    Sorry for the delay.

    Why did you suggested better?

No, it's not better, but I'd rather manage the archives. This method works, period.

This fact (running a backup every 4 hours) makes my irrelevant archivelog deletion policy?

    # Policy is important.

    Have the principal value:

CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO APPLIED ON STANDBY

But the 'NONE' value on standby.

The worst thing that can happen is THAT RMAN will bark when you try to delete something. (it's a good thing)

How we prevent the backup process archive backup of a file to archive log before it is shipped to the waiting?

Should be a non-issue, the archive does not move, it AGAIN is transported and applied. To SQL monitor time (Transport and apply)

  • Only CC will open the files I / eps

I can't imagine that you must have the creative cloud to open each file I / unique eps proposed on the site of Adobe Stock - but it is what a conversation with a representative me - someone ' one found out there that you can open in an older version of Illustrator?

If you download files have / eps and you want to change them, you need a vector application like Adobe Illustrator. It may be an older version of Illustrator, however. It should not be the current illustrator of the creative cloud CC.

If the downloaded file contains newer effects such as living forms, you need a newer version of Illustrator. However, I never bought a stock vector file that contained these effects, so your chances are very good.

  • Update on Remote Site model. It will update the files in the remote site?

I edited a template in my local site and tried to download on my site remote using PUT.

The model was able to finished in another file of models, a subdirectory of the folder my public.html.

Therefore, I have not seen the desired changes applied on my pages based on a template online.

    Any ideas on that?

    TIA,

    NO!

Models don't work through DW and then only they affect LOCAL files.  These local change files must be downloaded again.

  • My Acrobat XI shows a white, gray screen when opening files, analysed, although the player will display the files correctly.

Adobe Reader is able to display documents correctly, but not Acrobat XI. I've updated the Flash Player. I turned the "large images" function in the preferences. I've updated to Acrobat. The screen always gray and white. Help, please.

In addition, I recommend you check your preferences in Acrobat.

Go in Edition > Preferences > Page display > "Page content and information" and don't forget that "Show large images" is checked.

  • The best place to store the files in Web site on his computer?

In years past, I stored all my files from site Web on C: > program leader > * name of site *. However, which began in the days of Windows 98 and Windows 10 you now have 'the PC' section of documents, photos, videos, etc. I have problems of permissions with registration from now files on my C: drive, and it becomes a royal pain. I was just thinking to move my Web sites off of the C: root on my computer and in one of my other sections of the computer. But my sites have photos, documents and video clips, to set up my new site location does not really fit into one of the other existing sections. I just wanted to know what path on the computer and others set up their website information? I might be able to spare me headaches in the future. Thank you.

I set up a Sites folder directly on my root of the C: drive and managed to save a file to it. Then why I would be able to do the same thing except Program Files located under C:, too?  Some obscure regulation of Microsoft or something? So I'm just going to drag and drop all three of my sites the in my new folder "Sites" under my root of the C: drive. Sound good?

You should never put anything directly in the Program Files folder. It is not an obscure regulation of Microsoft. It is there to protect you against malware surreptitiously added to your operating system.

The Program Files folder is for program files (in other words, the software that runs on your computer). It is not for arbitrary files that you create yourself. Put all your sites the in C:\Sites is a good organization.
