  I want to reinstall PSE 6.0 on my computer because it takes forever to load. I think it's because I downloaded a ' registry optimizer some time ago and it messed up things!   How can I keep all the photos that are on site and the reload after you have reinstalled the program?  I am a beginner when it comes to these things, so please keep it simple!  I have a Dell (4 years?) computer, running Windows Vista.

  PSE uninstalling (via Control Panel) should not do anything to your photos or your catalogs, just the program files. When you reinstall, the PES should automatically find your catalog. If it doesn't, go to file > catalog in the Organizer, go to your catalog and click Open.

• Opening, using Relocator and rest with my project structure

  I use Relocator to move my photos 'managed' Aperture library to be "referenced".  However, now I have to do a project at a time.  I can't get Relocator to work on multiple projects and maintain my project structure.  When I tried it, I put the subfolder 'project' format and the format of the name to "original file name.    It did not work as planned, he put each photo in its own folder.  So now in the format of subfolder 'custom name' and provide the name of the project.  This seems to be the only way to keep my existing structure.   My existing structure is the name of the event and the date, for example the Blizzard Dec 2008.    Any tips or suggestions?  I have pictures of 70 K to move! Going to take some time do this project!  Thanks in advance!

  When I select the pictures of several projects at a time and use the command "file > move...» ', the original images will be relocated in a folder for each project.  I use these presets:

  A lot of existing Archives in new cases, began the movement then discovered that once they were in the new folder, they are grayed out in Media Import of the FCP and would not load. Then after moving their return out of the folder, discovered that they would not load in FCP more. And only now discovered that after that relocation of the Archives - each Archive unique, I moved is now 68.3 MB - not the 1 to 7 GB as before. So there's something really wrong going on here. Anyone have any ideas? Someone has experienced the same problem?

  A lot of JavaScript functionality was killed in Firefox 7.0.1 and this includes type it or paste javascript into the location bar (address bar). You had to jump through hoops to Firefox 6 - now there is no viable solution for a lot of what we do.

  Alternatives within Firefox that could allow you to interfere with that by are quite insufficient, I would stick with what works for you, for the moment,

  6 javascript in the url bar from Firefox works with a principal null for security reasons. In other words, that it is almost off. You need a bookmarklet or an add-on for a workaround. See question 871828.

  I have the same prolem suddenly! I think that this comes from Internet Explorer and I found a copy of the HHCTRL. OCX in the net, replace it but after 1-2 restarts, the result is the same error.

• Elements PSE 7 and Windows 7

  I'm having a problem getting my editor from PSE to work under Windows 7. It keeps closing on me. Y at - it a patch for it. It is a relatively new purchase. I don't want to upgrade to PSE 8 or I don't think it's fair that Adobe makes me to upgrade.

  If you use a relocation of the disc from the manufacturer of the computer, then you may need to contact the manufacturer and see if you can get a product key.

  After starting without error black screen display problems indicating "start with vista or run diagnostics" etc. I did a full restore. A few problems with windows update which has finally been overcome themsevlves except 1. Service pack KB936330 continued to come as needing to be installed although the "installed updates watch it 8 times successfully installed.". When I try to reinstall Norton 360 I get error that it is not compatible because service pack 1 has not been installed. Run Microsoft Fixit and found the updates installed in different place and has been corrected, but problem persists.
