Relocation project to another computer with a content on a different drive letter.

I have to install a first Pro Film Project with almost 1 TB related raw materual on a new computer.

on the old computer, project files were under "E":

01_PROJECT_FILES

02_FOOTAGE

03_AUDIO

04_GRAPHICS

05_OUTPUT

06_MASTER

07_ENCODINGS

08_SUBTITLES

09_ERROR

10_AE

Except for the 01_PROJECT_ FILES folder, all other folders were empty on 'E '. All records of E are also on an external drive, which was still called "H". External hard disk, all records are filled with the exception of the first 01_PROJECT_FILES of folder that is empty. My question: where can I import / copy the folder of 01_Project_Files E? On the 500 GB Samsung SSD EVO, called 'C' on my new computer or normal drive 1000 GB HARD drive 5400U/min, which is called "D", or do I have to create an extra partition called "E" on my new computer? I just want to warn to bind all the matter again to the project.

or move the files to the new computer and keep the same media folder structure. Then 'connect '. When you find the first file, the rest should connect automatically.

  • Message came up with, "Windows has detected another computer with the same IP address on this netework."

A message came that said, Windows detected another computer with the same IP address. "... or similar message to one, that could just be the functioning of the laptop for the wireless?

    MurrayJoe:

    > Mean someone has or may have access to my PC or laptop?

You mentioned a wireless laptop. Do you get this message at home (when your laptop is in communication with your own wireless router), or that you get this message when in a public hotspot?

If at home, then I would be not too concerned (what security options enabled in your home router?).

If you get the message while using a public access point, this does not necessarily your computer has been hacked... but it is a warning that you should not ignore. In general, I would not go to any site that has my financial data, or any other sensitive data, a public hotspot. There are too many ways that a public hotspot may be compromised.

Your original post said that "a message came that said, Windows detected another computer with the same IP address.

There are several reasons this could happen... some innocent people and some not so innocent.

If your network is configured for the most common way, then your router uses a feature called Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). You can read about DHCP here...

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Host_Configuration_Protocol

Basically, when a device on your home network needs an IP address, he asks your router and your router assigns an IP address... technically, "rents" the router address for a given period (one day). Once this period has elapsed, the device must 'renew lease'.

DHCP stops you from the hassle of having to assign a static IP address to each device on your network and then don't forget to retrieve that meet if/when a device are removed from your network.

Sometimes the process DHCP can be confused and assign the same address on multiple devices. If/when this happens, communication between devices on your home network may be confused. Windows is smart enough to detect that another device on your home network has the same address as the computer where Windows is currently running..., but Windows can not solve the problem.

You can determine the IP address of the computer that is running Windows (and posted the message you saw)... by entering "ipconfig" (without the quotation marks) at a command line prompt. Then you can check the IP addresses of all devices on your network until you find the other devices with the same IP address. Then you could say either every device to get a new IP address of the router (or restart the device). Alternatively, you can try just stating the computer that is running Windows to get a new IP address (by first entering "ipconfig/release" then "ipconfig / renew" in the command-line invite him... all orders without the quotes).

But since you said that you are not very tech savvy, my first suggestion was the easiest... just shut everything in your network, and then restart one at a time by starting with your ISP device, router, and other devices. If the problem persists after that, then more troubleshooting (as described in the previous paragraph) would be necessary.

I hope this helps to clarify the issue for you. If you have any questions, please post them and I'll try to answer.

  • Transfer of the Presets of hearing CC to another computer with another cloud creative subscription

As described in the title I want CC hearing transferPresets to another computer with another creative cloud subscription.

    How can I do this?

You must locate the hearing preferences folder and make a copy of the appropriate files. When you have set up another machine, it will be a "vanilla" located in the same location. All you do then is to replace the files in there with those that you copied. In this FAQ, you will find information on the location of the file (which by default is hidden):

Restore default settings for hearing CS6

Don't worry it saying CS6 - the path is essentially the same thing, only with a different version number at the end (the current version should tell 8.0). The FAQ also has information on the files to copy and modify.

The easiest way is to use a USB to SATA or IDE USB adapter. (most of the adapters offer both).

  • transfer bookmarks in the HTML file to another computer with installed bookmarks

I try to transfer my favorites from one computer to another, which already has some of them. I tried "delete all bookmarks except for backups" FF safe mode and then import the HTML file, but all bookmarks in the folder is there, it does not have the bookmarks toolbar, which is the most important part of the structure for me. The correct toolbar is in the list of bookmarks, but it doesn't show up when I open FF. I tried to delete the stuff in the bookmarks bar which is at the top of the list and copy the stuff in the toolbar I want the toolbar now empty, but that did ' t work either.
I thank God and the developers for restoration!

I hope this is clear enough. Thanks for any help

Thank you, cor - el. It worked well, but it is much more difficult than the last time that I transferred bookmarks (can't remember how many FF there are versions that was, but it was a combination)-at this time, I just sent the file bookmarks.html to a computer to me to another and then replace the file in the second computer with that of the first. But at this time the second computer was new and had no Favorites to start with.

It sounded so much more easy to do import/export function... Well, all's well that ends well, so all is well now. Sorry I took so long in its reply, had to go into my other computer last night and had no time to work on this one there until this afternoon.

    Thanks again for your help.

  • Audio mixing in hearing on a project to another computer

I'm a total newbee and I do the audio on a documentary. The film is currently being edited on another computer that I will use to edit the audio. I know that Premier Pro is not import audio and video projects, but simply links to it. I have the same files on my computer, but I have to manually link the audio and the video every time. Is there a better way to do it, what is the best way to do it. I have the mac version of CS5.5 hearing

Yes, first hearing session projects always bind to the assets of the source, and do not incorporate it into the project file.  If you must use the source files, then linking them will be necessary, even if you could save your session locally then you shouldn't must approve the link - their location is registered for the session.

  • Files of different previous project on another computer

So I use Premiere Pro CC 2015.  I have a bunch of files premiere project that I worked with.  They are files of animation that were rendered in form of Animate image sequences in different layers and then composites in first so I can add a few different effects for different layers.  I then exported these shots like new image sequences so I cut all the shots together later.

I need a new hard drive and good graphics card so I recently replaced and reinstalled the first.  I noticed a problem with one of the rendered shots so I went in the project file to resolve the problem and re - export.  But when I opened the project that's very different than before.  For example, I have a layer with reduced opacity.   If I look at the orders of effects it is always on the same opacity that I had chosen, but when I look on the screen looks like it is well a lower opacity.  I guess it has to do with my new graphics card or display settings, but it may not be.  I have previously rendered version open and he looks at the way it's supposed to but in first monitor, it's different.

But wait.  There is more!  Like I said these are sequences of images and it's like first is no longer recognizing the entire sequence.  She's going through the last several frames.  The chronology of the stretching clips as they are supposed to, but most of the layers, take a break or disappears completely at one point but they have than before.

I don't understand why this is happening.  This is the same version of first, unless there was some minor update since I had already installed it, but I don't think that there is, and even if so I don't understand why it would cause these changes.

    Hi mentalcase129,

Have you updated the GPU drivers lately?

Try to change the rendering engine video for only the Mercury playback engine software and see if that makes a difference.

    Best,

    Regalo

Try to use this tool, it's called Windows easy transfer, I don't know if it works with an external hard drive or if you want to just manually, you can transfer the file using the method of copy paste...

  • Can I save my projects at my computer with creative cloud?

I can't find a clear answer to this question:

If I download the creative cloud package which includes all the fun programs, can I save my projects directly to my computer as I could in Creative Suite 3, 4 or 5?

I don't want to do anything in this cloud thing that they're talking about.

I just want to install programs, create content with them and save my projects directly on my computer - no internet which means never.

    Yes.

One of the biggest misconceptions with version Adobe of the cloud is that you need to store your files in the cloud.

With the Cloud of Adobe, you download, install and run the software locally. Similarly, you save your work locally, just as you always have. Cloud storage is available but completely optional.

The only requirement of the internet is an automatic in the occasional background license audit which connects to the Adobe servers to verify that you are financially current. Takes seconds.

  • Want to 750-114: migrate another computer with SSD

    Hi all

Im trying to replace my old PC with this desire 750-114.  I have an SSD on my old PC and would like to just transfer the SSD to my envy again as the main drive.

I couldn't find any driver motherboard online and I don't want to clone the hard disk on my new PC I want to keep all the files on my old intact SSD.

is it possible to boot from my old SSD?

    Thank you!

    weidake

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your message want to migrate a SSD from one PC to another and wanted to help.

Simply boot the second PC since a SSD at the first - No..  IF the PC had identical hardware, then maybe, but with a different material, the necessary drivers will be missing and the PC does not start.

There is a way to actuall "migrate" from the old PC to the new one, using the same player - but it involves costs and considerable work.

Macrium Reflect allows image and restore the PC and they have an option that you can do whatever you want - mainly migrate everything from your old PC to the new - it's called the redeployment, and it is not available in the free version.  You must buy the Home version.

The way it works in your case is that you buy Mr., install on a PC and use the option to create the bootable rescue media.

Then you put the old SSD in the new PC, insert the bootable rescue media and boot into MR.

Once it is running (it may take a few minutes to load), follow the instructions in this thread (from step 3): http://www.macrium.com/help/v5/How_to/Redeploy/ReDeploy_a_system_to_new_hardware.htm

Mr. then read drivers (from support that you provide) and replace the drivers on the SSD with the drivers for the new PC.

NOTE: If you do not have the drivers for your new PC in one place, and then download and install DriverBackup - you can use this to backup all the drivers in a single folder.

But it's only PART of the solution (I said that some work is involved!)

The former DSS had active Windows using the license on the old PC - and OEM licenses are not transferable from one PC to another.

If the new PC is preinstalled with Win8x or newer, you can retrieve the info from following these instructions (based on 90 days version) license:

    (1) for Windows 8 x: key product - find for Windows 8

    (2) for Windows 10: download the OEM of Windows - MajorGeeks product key tool

You will then need to manually enter the product key found by the tool to activate Windows again on the new PC.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • Try to reinstall windows 7 on another computer with the old product key

My computer has 7 starter and windows 7 upgrade system intalled. It crashed and no longer works.  I talk to technicians of Microsoft and they say its ok and will work - transferring the operating system windows 7 on my laptop current used. Well no dice, after my product key for them, Microsoft gave me the run around. Last night when I spoke with them, they said that a discount price was available because I made the original purchase for her. Is happening here? Should I buy windows 7 again?

I guess you try to use the upgrade license.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

    Always try the following:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
