    Hello

I need be able to deny access to the file manager, as I don't want my client, deleting files. However, for some reason, I have to allow him access to what he should be able to download files via InContext Editor (he needs to link the pages to documents that are not on the server so he needs to download and do it, I have to grant access to the file manager).  How can I get around this?  I don't want to reupload the site whenever it deletes a file...

Unfortunately we can not do - file manager access to removal as well as download and at this stage that cannot be changed.

  • Deny access to the Internet

I am very new to Cisco firewalls (got a little thrown in there) and I had a request to come down the pipe to deny access to the internet for a single internal IP address. My firewall is a PIX 515e. I'm guessing this has to do with the access list, but I don't know if I need to create a group and add only a single IP address to it or how really, even go about it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Andrew

What you posted, it is difficult to find how different access lists are applied (how they are used). But it seems that you need another list of access. What you might look like this:

inside_access_out access-list deny ip host everything

inside_access_out ip access list allow a whole

inside_access_out access to the interface inside group

I realized I need to add something to the list of remote access on the cRIO that I find a little confusing. I want to use the serial port on the cRIO by VISA to communicate to the Keithley, so I need to give permission to cRIO on the cRIO? I'm obviously confused.

I tried to add a simple * (wildcard) to the list of access as a temporary solution but I still get the same error.

    I would like some advice.

  • Windows Vista update causes applications non - IE to be denied access to the internet

I have a laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 unfortunately comes with a Windows Vista Home Premium OS that has caused me a lot of problems with conflicts between her and others, package applications, and now I am forced to use my network at home for route information and documents that must move through the internet by sharing them with another computer Windows XP which is also configured exactly as my Lenovo IdeaPad Y510. I look forward to wean myself off of all MS products, possibly other that MS Office, I use a lot and plays always well for me to wire many years and updates/upgrades. Not the same for MS Windows Vista, however. My experience, similar to many other forum users, has been constantly frustrating over the years I've had to deal with it.  I lost a lot of time dealing with problems caused by code errors in the last set of MS Windows Vista updates that made all my package applications that require internet access unusable.

I contacted the support of Lenovo and support forums for my problem, and they too cannot provide all the answers that address this issue that is causing me to spend much too much time I could use to work at a rate of $65 / hr, so you can see that this is not only an inconvenience.

Before someone points me to the myriad other similar positions for possible answers, let me say that I probably have alread read it and tried all the suggested actions, without success. I need to REAL answers and REAL support, and I need it NOW.  Also, I don't think I should have to pay for the support which has been made necessary by the negligence of MS to test their updates for compatibility issues with the popular, free package critical applications for the safety of MS OS system of a user, such as AVG Free antivirus, ZoneAlarm Free firewall personal , OR who are competitors for their navigation on the web or by email client applications. I am not now under the other another firewall that MS Vista firewall having had to uninstall my firewall ZoneAlarm Free. I even had one of my other previously compatible and effective anti-malware/spyware apps, AdAware, uninstall Lavasoft. No matter what I did, which was suggested to me by MS resources support or Lenovo support resources, this problem, which began shortly after the last round of all the months of downloads to fix security and facilities, persists and cost me more money in revenue and lost time every day.

  • my user account is 'administrator', but am still denied access to the file I want to access.

I click on certain folders or files to access and a window pops up saying: "access denied."  Nevertheless, I have a user 'administrator' account, so why would I refused access?  I'm really tired of Windows 7, doing so and would like a replacement that will allow me access to WHAT I want - after all, it's MY computer, not Microsoft!

  • "access denied" access to the CBS

Hi I re-installed windows 7 as a new installation on my laptop Asus K53E. As things of the new facility are a little glitchy here and there but then after a new installation it seems still a little catching up to do. I decided to do a sfc/scannow to see if something was up. I had been hacked before installing fresh new too. The command prompt ended in corruption and asked me to find the log windows connects under CBS and now it says access is denied and does not show the text in Notepad. Why is this, and it's a minor thing that just needs fixing? I do not remember exactly the day I have re-installed but I have reminded newspapers CBSpersist until the 28th.

I had to re - install on a recovery partition in windows as this laptop above requires that I do. I am very few qualified computer if only said the above I saw it - it may not be accurate so that you give me aid 100%, but is close enough and the error is just described.

Original title: why should I "access denied" newspaper CBS after the corruption of files?

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

I understand that there are problems while accessing the CBS.log.

"Access denied" or other errors in the access to or work with files and folders in Windows

Refer (question 2: I'm unable to access, edit, save, or delete files and folders)

  • Need of a rule on the NAC to deny access to the XP machines

We run NAC 4.9.1 and I'm trying to think of a way to refuse any client Windows XP to get full network access. I created a new cheque which examines the registry key under:

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProductName

For any string that contains "Windows XP." I have it on Audit right now and I see in the newspapers that the XP mahcines hit this requirement.

Now, how can I deny that check?

    Hello

The NAC itself has rules of compliance different OS that you want to allow on your network.

Simply create a compliance rule indicating that you only allow windows 7. It works much better than the condition of the registry.

I used to support this product back to Cisco, but unfortunately I don't have access to a NAC server so I don't know where exactly is this option.

If you need more help feel free to ask and I'll be happy to help you.

    Kind regards

  • denied access to the c: drive and all the mistakenley of windows programs.i refused my access to the system to my c: drive

    Hello

This afternoon, I tried to install the home group. When I did, I got a message that windows could set up homegroup for this pc. (I'm not sure if this is relevant, but it's the last thing I did with windows before my problems started).
-At the moment when I try to go to c:\, I get an access denied message.
-When I go on c:\Users\Patrick then it shows my files and the directory.
-When I opened a word from this directory document, it works (so I have read access).
-I can't make a new folder in my home directory.
-When I start for the mmc instance get Windows cannot access... 0x800704b3 error code after diagnose I get an error that convenience store could not start error code 0 x 80070005. (it happens with all windows utilities.
-When I start safe mode it restarts after a few seconds (after he show users)
-When I try to activate the account administrator to the command prompt it says access denied.
-When I try to access the settings with the UAC, it does not.
-When I start a normal program (like VS2008) it starts up, when I do as an administrator I get the same error that when im from the mmc.

I have my PC from Vista

Homegroup only works for Win7, Win7. So I don't know what you were doing. Try a system restore to before that you did whatever it is that you did. You can start with your Vista DVD and access to restore the system from there. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Administrator to deny access to the file

I am running Windows Vista Home Basic with service pack 2.  As an administrator I am frequently refused access to certain folders, e.g., data application.  I thought that the administrator has access to all folders on the computer.  Is this something common to the basic family version?

No, it is new with Vista.  Even administrators do have access to some system, junction points files and folders even in their own profiles to prevent the problems of changes, deletions or additions which might cause problems (and even administrators don't know enough to work safely in these areas).  You can use permissions to work around these problems of access; However, I would just leave them alone because most of the time (except if it is advised by Microsoft Support) there is no reason to be in these places.  It is a big change in XP where access was essentially unlimited, but just adjust in Vista.  It is not only your version but in all versions.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
