Remote Desktop program elements not drawn

We use Sage Line 50 v21 under Remote Desktop on Server 2008 R2 accessible from Windows 7 Professional SP 1.

When some windows are open several fields and buttons do not appear until the user clicks on them, specifically VAT return options window.

Can we do anything about it?

    Hi Emily,.

I would say to contact your school TO verify what settings/connection information is necessary for configuring the desktop remotely.

  • Remote Desktop shows only not in system properties

I'm trying to allow connections on a portable computer and connect via the internet on another.
I've upgraded from vista Home Prem to Win 7 Home Prem 64 bit.
I am using the MS. Remote Desktop feature  I read MS Help directions.  When I open the System Properties window and go to the Remote tab, I have the current text of Remote Assistance, but there is NO Remote Desktop block in the window.  It's just not there.  Same situation on another laptop that I have improved.  Help indicates that the feature is available in all versions.  Have not loaded all the features during installation, pourrais I be looking in the wrong place or it is not available in the NVA Home Prem?
Can I access another computer remotely via the internet without this step?
Also, how can I identify my full computer name (I prefer just using an IP address if possible)?  Not connected to a domain (just an internet connection and the Working Group), how can I find the remote computer?

I'm sorry, but Windows 7 Home Premium cannot accept office connections remotely on other computers.  This requires the complete edition or professional version.

All versions of Windows 7 can connect to another computer using Remote Desktop connection.  That's what shows the help file.

These programs allow Windows 7 Home Premium accepts connections remotely on other computers: TightVNC , TeamViewer , GoToMyPC .

To use TightVNC, your computer must have an IP address or DNS name.  Dynamics of most of the ISP issue IP addresses, which can change at any time.  You can use a dynamic DNS service like DynDNS or No-IP to give your computer a DNS name.

  • In windows Vista (Home Premium) Remote Desktop connection does not work correctly

I installed and re-installed my Vista (Home premium) 2 times already because of the remote desktop connection.  I have a problem connecting from another laptop running windows 7 to connect to my desktop running Vista.  The remote control works on the other hand the meaning of desktop running vista, laptop running windows 7 Professional.
Looking at the Vista under \System\Remote setting\Remote tab which shows the remote assistance box, but the Office box where you can choose what type of connection can be established remotely is missing.

I went though all as responses to forum, but nothing helped.  Even in a "sfc/scannow" command prompt running did not help.  It is said that he finds corrupted files, but it cannot solve all corrupted files.  That's why I reinstalled windows hoping to fix this problem but WITHOUT SUCCESS.

Can anyone help?  I've attached a screenshot of what I see in vista.

You can connect FROM an original version of Windows to another computer, but you cannot connect to an original version of Windows.

  • Remote Desktop from Win7 not passing is not by the cisco pix firewall, but xp can.

our company lan remote office work like this:

    Win7 for win7 ok

    Win7 for xp ok

    XP and win7 ok

    XP to xp ok

Which leads me to believe that all the parameters and features of firewall and rdp pc work fine.

our remote users connect via the cisco through our cisco pix vpn client business and Remote Desktop works like this:

inside lan xp ouside xp OK

inside lan xp ouside win7 OK

    Here's the problem:

inside to outside win7 win7 ==> does NOT connect to (rdp that is)

inside win7 for xp outdoor ==> does NOT connect to (rdp that is)

External clients CAN of course accept rdp because it works when initiated by the xp machine.

ONLY win7 machines cannot use rdp through the cisco firewall

Yes, the dns resolves properly throughout.

Yes, remote desktop IS active (Yes, some may ask me that...)

Ping is not allowed through the firewall, so it makes no difference.

the result is the same whether the win7 firewall is on or off.

all the necessary pc firewall settings are good, as demonstrated in the first part.

Why can you connect the NO Win7?  but the XP machines?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I think that there are some weird setting in Win7 that didn't exist in winxp.

Trying to office remote set-up for the first time in a few years. 2 win 8 pro with a lot about farting machines I can see the two machines on the network, I configured the write permissions and can access files and folders, I get the login prompt and even jumped through all the hoops here:

When I try to login and get a safe area of windows saying my credentials did not work. He asks me to connect using my microsoft account. The account I have to connect on both computers with - so I know the password is correct. I try to use another account (the two accounts on both computers use the same user name and password), and it always rejects it.

I tried to connect to my account online and get an error, and then the password was rejected, so I reset the password.  I tried logging in tp remote desktop using this password, but that does not work either.

  • Remote Desktop connection does not Windows 7 Home Premium computer connect

    Hi guys,.

I regularly connect to computer Windows 2003 Server R2 of various computers via remote desktop without problem. However, I just got a brand new computer running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium and for some odd reason I can't connect to the Windows Server 2003 by using Remote Desktop connection. I tried to disable the firewall on both computers with no positive results. My DRC telling me that it cannot connect.
Can someone give any idea why this computer refuses to connect? Y at - it no service apart from the DRC services that should be running and can I get a list and try to restart their? Is it possible to re - install Remote Desktop connection? Maybe a download for windows 7 because I find only one for Windows Vista & XP.

  • Using desktop remotely, I try to print on a printer different computers by the server and remote desktop. Does not

With Server 2003, when you remotely connected with office, you could share your printers with everyone who has logged on to the server with the Office remotely and printed at the printing house they shared.  If the server had 10-12 different printers to that we could print.

With 2012 the only printers that one session on the server is its own and the printers installed on the server.  We must be able to log in to the computer 1, with Imprimante1 and printing to the printer on computer 2, through desktop connection remote.

Someone has suggestions I can see 2 printer who has logged the server with 1 computer?

Oh, using the boxes of windows 7

  • Remote Desktop AP does not connect to the server

I have a hotkey remote of ap generated in Windows Server 2008. It works fine on a private network virtual to a laptop using windows7, but not a laptop using Vista Home premium.  I noticed that the security popups on two laptops says "will be used to connect to these credentials: and then correctly gives the full servername.domainname, but the domain field following the name boxes & user password is empty in the version of W7, while the same field in the version of Vista incorrectly changes the name of the server of the domain name."

Thanks, but I have now solved the problem by selecting another user and by putting the domain name to the user name.

  • How can I remote desktop not computer field of work.

I have an office with two computers (Windows 7 Pro) on the same router connected by a working group that I put in place so that they can share hard drives.

I am trying to use remote desktop to work at home (also Windows 7 Pro), but is not able to connect. I have the correct IP address for the desktop computer, and its settings are
"Allow Assistance connections to this computer remotely.
"Allow connections from computers running any version of remote desktop" I want to change to the more secure option.

How can I implement the Office remote to work on the desktop computer at home?

    Or,

Is their anyway I can have my computer at home join the task force at the office, I created?

    Thank you
    -Mike

Please note that I can't use Teamviewer because if I'm not at the office, no one else will have.

No problem, I understand.  My use is personal, so I use the freebie version.  But for remote desktop, it is not too difficult, takes just several steps during the installation of the first, although it has a small caveat that your internet service provider could change your external IP address and you wouldn't be able to connect until you find what's news.  It's probably rare.  Even on my home connection, Cox Cable here almost never changes my IP address.  And with most Internet accounts business, the hard provider agrees to not change.

Here is the process.  It varies depending on your router (I use a Linksys router at a low price, but it is very similar).

    1. First, give the computer (desktop PC) connect a static IP address.
This page explains how, in probably as more details you want :)
    2. Tell your router to forward incoming remote desktop connections to this internal IP.
Log into your router and look for Port Forwarding or Port Range Forwarding.  It is usually easy to spot. Mine is below, and you can see entering 3389 connections (you can specify a range for RDP one is enough, so my range is just a single port) and transfer them to my address interne.104.  Click here to see a larger version of this image.

    3. Find out what are the external IP address of your office.
In the settings of your router, or just ask Bing "what is my IP address?" , you can dig around your desktop computer.

That's all.  Later, when you want to connect to your desktop computer, you will use the external IP address of the internet connection of your office, and the router will forward this application on the computer that you want to achieve.

If you want to be able to connect to multiple computers, you can set another computer to use a different number of port instead of 3389 (official Microsoft here) and do the same steps to transfer 3390 to the other computer.  Later, when you want to connect to the other computer, type your IP as the IP: port, such as 11.11.11.11:3390 and it will connect to the other computer.

  • Windows Media Center does not work when on a remote desktop session

I have just Setup Remote Desktop on my local server and connected my laptop... whew that was a task in itself!

Server - Windows 7 Ultimate w/Media Center installed

Laptop - Windows 8 Pro w/Media Center installed

I am able to run the Windows Media PLAYER on the remote desktop, and it seems to work fine after that I added the libraries to it.

    BUT

When I run Windows Media CENTER I get a message that "Windows Media Center has stopped working... Windows is checking for a solution to the problem. "The message goes away and that's it.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can get the WMC to operate on remote desktop?

Not very well why this would be considered as a matter of "ITPro.

It's probably debatable that MS really intended for MC to be used via RDP, I'm not sure they believed that the feature has been used very well at all judging by what they were doing in Windows 8

However, there are two possibilities on the cause of this. An update of the RDP client can be the culprit, but it is not always a good idea to block any update.

You can also the following reg key

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\Rdp-Tcp

added needs of the user group have included in its read access permissions. You can also use the run as Administrator option when you start Media Center.
