  • How to remove a background from an image with a body similar to the background color

    Hello world!

New here so I hope I ask this in the right place

I used to use photoshop many years ago and get back inside. One thing with which I have a particular problem delimbing Fund images that are quite bright whites / have little white in them - normally I would use techniques basic as the background eraser or the magic wand, but due to the edges by a quite brilliant and mix a little in the back on the ground, I find it very difficult to cut the image.

I work with an example image is this yo-yo > http://yoyovillage.co.uk/img/c/iYoYo%20Steel_1200px_01.jpg

Basically, I want to remove the white background and also the reflection / shadow below while I'm just left with the body of yo-yo in the image (like this > http://www.yoyovillage.co.uk/264-home_default/level-6.jpg)

One option, I was advised might work using a layer mask shape and essentially make a copy of the image in photoshop layer and then use the settings of brightness/contrast to ensure that the yo-yo is a little more easily selectable, but this does not work either (and I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to layer masks).

I was hoping someone here might be able to help - it may be that it's just not possible, but if anyone can say anything I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you very much

    Hello!

I just created a beautiful action, but there is still a step that I can't make it work.

    I'm optimzing scanned PDF.

First step: preflight: convert to grayscale.

Second step: optimize the PDF: all filters set to high. This separates the bottom of the analysis of the digitized text. Both scored as the image, not as background image.

Third step: remove the background image. Cannot get this to work.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much!

There may be a preflight script to remove the image, but it could get rid of all the images. You can also use the tool object editing (or the new name I forget) to select the background image and delete it. You'd have to do on each page.

  • Remove a color from an image

Hi, it's probably very basic for most of you, but... I have a picture of a tree with individual leafs (he is a logo in JPG format). The tree and the leaves are made of different colors of green and the background is white. I want to remove the white background so that the image contains only the tree with the leafs. Could you give me a general direction where I could do. Obviously, I'm a newbie with Photoshop and your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Bernard,.

You can go ahead and use the background Eraser tool and remove the white background everything you have.

I am very very new to using Illustrator10 and I have a stock image that I bought online and I'm trying to make some adjustments to it.  I managed so far with my changes with the exception of a border thin black line which was around the image when I opened it in Illustrator.  I can't even click on it or select it at all and so I do not know how to remove it.  Any help would be very happy! Thank you!

It's the artboard. It defines only the measurement of the image. There is no really. Try to simply copy everything and spent in a new file to see. Make sure that the new file is just the standard size, not the size of the existing image.

    Hi all

This is the first time for me to post in this forum. I hope you can help me!

I want to remove solid white background from an image and I followed different procedures, but none works for me.

The last procedure that I follow is the following http://www.WikiHow.com/remove-background-with-Photoshop-elements -A simple background removal.

I followed each step carefully, but once I open the jpeg file saved, the image is always displayed with its solid white background.

The source file is a jpeg file.

The destination file is also a jpeg file.

My version of Adobe Photoshop is CS6 13.0 on Windows XP SP3.

    What I'm doing wrong here?

If you want to save the file as a file with transparent background, you need to save it as a gif or png image image.  Cannot save JPEG files with a transparent background.

If you go to save for web, will give you the option to save it in a GIF or png and you can set the transparency
