  Using robohelp 10 on win 7

  I have 5 conditional tags in my HR project. In some cases, the text can be tagged with multiple conditional tags.

  I want to delete a batch tag content so that all content no longer uses this tag.

  Simply remove the tag from the pod of conditional compilation?

  If this is not the case, how can I do?

  Simply press the DELETE key and HR will tell you that it will remove the content tag. From my experience, it does. Test it in a fictional project in case of doubt.

  I created a RH7 project, and it has expanded to become the sole source of our company for the documentation of the user. It's a good thing. However, as I added information to different audiences, I'm done with a number of conditional compilation expressions I need is no longer. I would like to delete, so I don't have to search a long list on the general screen of WebHelp.
  I searched the forum and didn't see any information on the removal of the conditional compilation expressions (tags, yes; expressions, no). Can someone tell me how to proceed?

  Recently, I captured a whim of a subject.  A woman with blond hair wearing a black jacket.  Initially, she was going well with the dark gray background and subsequently had doubts.  She asked if I could change the background to a lighter color.

  I'm new to PS and I have a lot to learn.  Is it possible for me to remove the background?

  I'm not an expert by any means, so there might be a method easier or better, that I don't know.

  The best option I have found is using the color range (select > color range) on black background to select all similar black, then deselect parts you do not want to be cut/eased with the cropping lasso tool. Then you will be left with a fairly accurate harvest of just him.

  Here is what it seems that after I've played with him for a minute, with little patience you can do much better.

  I want to remove the conditional compilation tags that come with RoboHelp 11. For RoboHelp online help (accessible by clicking on the?) Help button in the dialog tag to build conditional) says:

  «To remove the tags conditional build of a project, click project.» Expand the folder for conditional Build tags, click a tag, and select Remove. And then click OK. »

  I haven't used RoboHelp for a while, so forgive my ignorance, but where exactly "click Project? I seem to remember that the conditional Build tags folder used to reside in the project files folder in the project manager pod. But he's not here.

• Can I remove various topics in RH10 without remove the links to the deleted section?

  If I delete a topic in RH10 project manager then I have the option not to remove the links to the deleted section (useful because I then want to search on broken links). The downside is that I can remove only one topic at a time. However, I can delete multiple fields using the list of topics, but it removes the link to the topic as well.

  Anyone know how I can remove several RH10 topics and keep the broken links to the deleted section?

• Cannot generate webhelp, using a conditional compilation expression

  Background

  • RoboHelp 7 HTML (I know it's old)
  • Windows 7
  • Project still has conditional text - webhelp update / generated successfully about 4 months ago.
  • Other projects of mine who have conditional text are still working fine - which means that I can generate webhelp successfully, using an expression of conditional compilation for all my other projects.

  Problem

  When I try to generate webhelp for this specific project, RoboHelp crashes during the progress "update files" message. The only way out is to entirely close HR. Successfully, I can generate webhelp for this specific project if I don't use ANY conditional compilation expression.

  What I tried

  • As stated above, I can generate webhelp for this project if I do not use a conditional compilation expression.
  • I tried the following in different combinations: removed all conditions and conditional text tags, removed the .pss file, which is deleted the file .cpd, looked at table formatting, created new conditions with new names.  Result is always the same: HR crashes if I use a conditional compilation expression.

  Things I noticed

  • The project root file has many temporary files in Robohelp after the failure of the generate. If I generate thereafter with no expression of conditional compilation, temporary files are gone.  This is probably normal behavior HR.
  • After I deleted all the conditions and conditional text on every topic references, I added a new condition.  I did NOT mark any conditional text.  I have added a conditional compilation expression.  Generate crashes.

  Any ideas would be appreciated!

  Hello! I had the same problem. It turns out that it was a problem with one subject! Talk about a needle in a Hay stack! Specifically, it was a problem with a cell that had a condition applied (the last cell of a table).

  Note: The way in which this table was split and merged and had conditions applied (on certain columns, others not)... I'm not surprised, that there was a problem.

  Action taken:

  1. Created a new project. (you wanted to see if it was a problem with my project might be corrupted or if it was something with the files and/or conditions).
  2. Imported from all subjects, recreated WebHelp SSL, tried to regenerate, he hooked (good news: not my bad news of project.: I have to dig further).
  3. Created another new project.
  4. Import a file that had all my conditions in there so that I can recreate my WebHelp SSL (with conditions having been imported into the new project).
  5. I generated the WebHelp unconditionally excluded. Worked.
  6. I generated the WebHelp with the same exclusions defined as I had in my original draft. Worked.
  7. I imported the 5 themes of my original topic and regenerated. Worked.
  8. I continued to repeat topics 5 both importers and regeneration until it didn't work.
  9. Remove the last 5 years (generated after the deletion, just to make sure it was ok), then imported one at a time until the generation has failed and the project was not admissible.
  10. Once I identified the subject that created the issue (did not know what the problem would be even), I have started another project and imported the topic problem ONLY. Then, I removed 3/4 of the subject and regenerated. Worked. Any new topic (replacing the stripped down in the topic) and this time I deleted less content. Regenerated. Did not work. This helped me to identify the specific area that was causing the problem which, in my case, was the construction tag closing after the table tag.

  I meet a really special condition, as the topic, I have a cache to distribute, when putting an object in the cache, Tigger will save method in dumps stored in DB, when remve one entry, will be Tigger method erase to remove it from the DB, and then I need another operation - that can remove just the entry on the cache and will not erase the DB?   I tried the entry.expiry (1); in fact for me, he did work and delete the entry without calling the erase method, but he called the store method rather than setting expiration is obviously treated as an update.

• Conditional IE - problem; Help req'd

  I am facing a problem in executing a conditional statement for IE 6 (I've structured it lt IE 7).

  The site in question is http://www.socls.org/testing/index.html.

  The code for the conditional statement is as follows:

  I followed the Protocol to insert the General style sheet link, followed by the conditional statement referenced in many places on the web.

  When I do and tests using a browser testing service cross the result is the following:

  

  As you can see, the banner is not centered, and blue gradient background (which should be included in the IE 6 rendering the difficulties to support making transparencies) is present instead of the white background.  Similarly, the white background is not present for the name plate as expected by the style sheet, and the wrong buttons and logo are inserted.

  When I remove the conditional IE and re - test on a browser IE 6 (without using a conditional statement), but rather make the stylesheet IE6 the general one, the problem is corrected.

  

  I guess it must be a syntax error in my conditional statement, but cannot see what it is.  As I said, it has largely been filched by various references from the internet on the topic.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Go through your stylesheet for IE6 and compare it with the main style sheet.

  Remember, cascade styles CSS.  If a parent element has a background image, and there is no rule to replace it in your stylesheet to IE6, IE6 will get same style of main style sheet.   Also, don't use spaces in the names of file/folder as these convert %20 on the web.  You can use _ or - but no spaces.

  Thanks for the reply. I know that my password would not have to use it every time I logged on my computer. Got around this by creating a new used which required no password and then deleted me as user with password of origin. Enter the computer now fine without hazzle of passwords.  also when I used the password 3 times my system froze so had to maually shut down system.

  As a warning, I'm relatively new to programming as a whole.

  I do a table design app (mainly)

  My program is to create a vector of pointers to Row objects. Each Row object creates a container with a provision of the battery, and then creates a vector of objects of cell which create containers and text boxes that are added to the container created by the Row object.

  Everything works very well with regard to the creation. They create at the start and during the duration and page layout correctly. What I can't do is to remove the containers and the text boxes to remove lines or cells.

  Removes a container not whole as well as any other object?
