Remove frequent list in windows 8
Someone can help me. I love windows 8... but one thing I don't like is the frequent bar keeps coming back when you use internet explore.
For the complete beginner, how can you get rid of the bar for good?
Thanks M
Hi Mark,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
I understand that you want to remove common list in Internet Explorer.
Unfortunately, we cannot delete the frequent list option; We can remove the Web sites listed in the common list.
Open the modern Internet Explorer user interface, wide of the right hand slider, click settings, click Internet Options, under Internet Explorer settings and click Remove under delete browsing history.
Hope it will be useful. If you still have questions, please reply and we will be happy to help you.

My question is very simple: I believe! How can I remove scanners listed in Windows Fax and Scan App under 'Tools'-> 'Scan routing? This really should not be so dang hard when I do an install, and regedit, I looked at most of the places are to get rid of any residue. However, when I get back in Windows FAX and Scan, inevitiably I see printers / scanners way back when I bought this laptop.
I use Windows 7 Home Premium as my operating system.
I think I'll try the following:
Uninstall Norton & reboot
Reinstall your HP printer using the latest version of the full software features on HP site, preferably in the usb connection.
Test the printer or use HP diagnostics to test its operation, then uninstall HP printing via programs & features software.
Then use the HP utility to completely re - move
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?CC=UK&LC=en&DLC=en&softwareitem=MP-49133-2
If all goes well, that should put an end to this
(With the help of uninstalling programs & features should remove the printer from the "Devices and Printers")

How can I clear the "Frequent" list in Windows Explorer?
This list of "Frequent" exists when you pin 'My Computer' on the taskbar and then right-click on the folder.
I want to remove from the list of "Frequent" is because it intrusive is located below the desired "pinned" list and the common list is also a privacy issue where a guest to my computer can see all the files I've ever visited.
Hello
The only way to do it is to right - click on the Start button and select Properties. Remove the two check in the section of the privacy options.
Note: This is a global setting and apply to all the program pinned to the taskbar.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Windows 7

Withdrawal of obsolete lists in the Add/Remove program list?
I'm working on the clean-up of an older system running Windows XP Pro. The system has two hard drives... whose the second crashed and burned in a fatal way. Software that has been installed on the second drive hard disappeared and is not installed on the replacement drive. The problem this presents, although perhaps minor but annoying, however, is that programs that were on the second disc appear on the Add/Remove Programs list, accessed via the Control Panel, even if they are no longer really exist on the system. Is there a good way to clean the list add/remove program entries for programs that have been lost and never be recovered due to a failure of hard drive like that? Also, are there any other proceedures recommended to clean all traces of system programs that have been lost in this way? Try to remove the traces of these programs using the Add/Remove list does not of course because the entries in the list of reference locations and files that no longer exist.
Thank you.

Download ccleaner from piriform. Click Tools > uninstall. Highlight the entries that appear, but is really installed. Then choose Delete. Reformatting is an extreme measure for a simple issue resloved. Regarding running the ccleaner registry cleaning tool, that I personally used for several years without a single incident. This does not apply to all the registry tools however.
It is also a trustworthy tool.

How manage/remove startup programs in Windows 7
Crikey!
You people are things made and actions 'hard '!
With "how manage/remove programs startup in Windows 7?",...
Everything I've ever done is to find the startup program (in the "All programs" list, have a good overview of what is there, then, VERY SIMPLY, remove those I don't want to open at startup.)
When THIS is done, the program (s), I have DELETED does NOT start.
At the start, never!
Period!
Some software packages will place their TITLE... at the beginning, without your consent.
And, it's 'how' I get rid of them. I have this same title... in the "All programs" list, in any case!
Autoruns is a great program for geeks, but for the average home user it generates so much information it can be a nightmare.
Stick to the MsConfig - Startup tab in a 1st time, but start in programs and features when cleaning. You don't need to worry about something in the boot if you can remove the program anyway.
Printer drivers HP is a good example. Many have their program of customer Participation and the consumables installation order plated on by default, but for the majority of users, as they are not necessary. Despite a message claiming that, on the contrary they do not affect printer operation at all.
