Remove Jimbrie Mac

How to remove malware from my iMac Jimbrie

You may have installed ad-injecting malicious software ("adware").

Do not use any type of product, "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" on a Mac. It is never necessary for her, and relying on it for protection makes you more vulnerable to attacks, not less.

Save all data first.

Some of the most common types of adware can be removed by following the instructions from Apple. But before you follow these instructions, you can try an automatic removal.

If you are not already running the latest version of Mac OS X ("El Capitan"), update or upgrade in the App Store you could adware to automatically remove. If you are already using the latest version of El Capitan, you can still download the current update of the Apple Support downloads page and run it. Still, some types of malware will be deleted, not all. There is no such thing as the automatic removal of all possible malware, either by OS X third party software. That's why you can't rely on software to protect you.

If the malware is deleted in your case, you will still need to make changes to the way you use your computer to protect you from new attacks. Ask if you need advice.

If the malware is not automatically deleted, and you cannot remove yourself by following the instructions from Apple, see below.

This simple procedure to detect any type of adware that I know. Disabling is a procedure distinct and better still.

Some legitimate software is funded by advertising and may display advertisements in its own windows or in a web browser while it is running. It's not malware and it may not appear. In addition, some Web sites display advertising intrusive popup that can be confused with adware.

If none of your web browsers work well enough to carry out these instructions, restart the computer in safe mode. Allows to temporarily disable the malware.

Step 1

Please triple - click on the line below on this page to select it, and then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination:

~/Library/LaunchAgents

In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + v press return. Open a folder named "LaunchAgents", or you will get a notice stating that the file cannot be found. If the file is not found, proceed to the next step.

If the folder opens, press the combination of keys command-2 to select the display of the list, if it is not already selected. Please don't skip this step.

There should be a column in the update Finder window. Click this title two times to sort the content by date with the most recent at the top. If necessary, enlarge the window so that all the content show.

Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "take a screenshot of a window." An image file with a name starting in 'Screenshot' should be saved to the desktop. Open the capture screen and make sure it is readable. If this isn't the case, capture a small part of the screen indicating that what needs to be shown.

Start a reply to this message. Drag the image file in the editing window downloading. Alternatively, you can include text in the response.

Leave the case open for now.

Step 2

Do as in step 1 with this line:

/Library/LaunchAgents

The record which can open up will have the same name but is not the same as in step 1. In this step, the folder does not exist.

Step 3

Repeat with this line:

/Library/LaunchDaemons

This time the file will be called "LaunchDaemons."

Step 4

Open Safari preferences window and select the tab 'Extensions'. If the extensions are listed, post a screenshot. If there are no extensions, or if you cannot launch Safari, skip this step.

Step 5

If you use Firefox or Chrome browser, open the list of extensions and do as in step 4.

  • Help! Deleting files in the local folder removes the Mac HD files.

After having "achieved" remote folder together, all folders on my desk and all the folders and files related to them (in thousands) appeared in the files of my Local folder Panel. And each of them had a character more next it. Worse, deleting one of these files delete the actual file to my desktop and Mac HD. What can I do?

The + means that it is a folder, click on it to see the files that it contains.

DW does not store the files, just some organizes and works with the files on your desktop, so to delete a file in DW it will remove your HD. This is the expected and correct result.

When you define a site, you must create a folder root for your site to store files (do not use your desktop folder). If you do not create a folder of root to work from, I could see all your office supplies including accidentally in your site. If this is what happened, you need to redefine your site: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-dreamweaver-cs5/gs01-defining-a-new-site/

Everything that was deleted should be restored from a backup, if that's what is happening.

can I delete email on mac accounts and retain their remaining icloud?

I'm looking forward clean my OSX and I wondered if I delete accounts on mac, along withh records, etc., do I still have access to them in Icloud. (I don't know which way the sync works)

Unless the e-mail accounts are based icloud.  That is to say, they end in @icloud.com, then without removing the Mac not keep them in iCloud because they are not in first place.

You should always be able to access through their respective clients to Web Mail however.

If they are based iCloud.com, then Yes you can remove form Mac and they are accessible via http://icloud.com by logging into each account there.

  • Why I can't remove applications in Launchpad?

    What I wanted to do

I have some third-party applications that I wanted to remove my Mac mini. I looked online Apple online help and he informed me that the quickest way was to open the dashboard, click on the application icon until all the icons that are shaken and then click on the button Delete the relevant icon that appeared.

    What actually happened

When I open the Launchpad the cursor changed suddenly from the usual angle more vertically aligned arrow pointer pointing to the up arrow cursor. I moved the slider on the delete button and clicked on delete. Did that make the application open, he has not removed the app at all. I tried with some other applications and it's the same thing.

    Desired result

It would be great if someone could explain this strange behavior. I'd be happy to try the sensible suggestions.

Mac software advertising cleaner made by people who make advanced Mac Cleaner, which is an unwanted application that is often distributed with adware. (Hmm, ironic, huh... they sneak with adware and then show you the pop - ups to help you get rid of the adware they rode in with.) The pop-up you see is caused by the Advanced Mac Cleaner, which probably means that you also have another type of adware on your system.

Suggestion of Allan will help you remove Advanced Mac Cleaner and some adware was installed alongside it.

  • 2012 the Mac Mini has sluggish 5 GHz Wi - Fi

    OK, this is weird.

Suddenly, my Mac mini is to have WiFi connections intermittently slow on the 5 GHz band, a router Linksys WRT-1900AC.

I have a 105 MB Comcast connection, and usually tests Speedtest.net Mini cede passage on 100 Mbps results, usually in the 120 Mbps.

This morning, I started having intermittent slowness. Sometimes I would grind to a halt, or there would be a long time to connect to a website. Speedtest pings during these episodes would be too high that 990 - in general, they are about 14 ms.

The 2.4 GHz connection, which generally gives me a slower rate in the range of 50 Mbps, is fine. The only issues I see are at 5 GHz, where I have the chance to get a speed in the range of 30 to 50 Mbps.

All other devices - iPads, iPhones, MacBook Pro, 4th-gen Apple TV, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - connect at 5 GHz very well. I get my gears zippy on other devices. Just not the Mini.

I rebooted the router and the modem. I emptied the cache DNS on the Mini. I deleted the Linksys SSD in Network preferences then reconnected. I removed the Mac Mini map of the network of the Linksys firmware and restored. So far, nothing works.

One thing to note: a few weeks ago, I installed a couple of SSD in the Mini, replacing a single stock of HARD drive. Which is to remove the antenna plate (and everything else inside the Mini). But I re-assembled very well, and it has been working fine since then. I think that if there is a problem with the antenna, it would affect the 2.4 GHz band, too.

Also, we moved into a new apartment in the same complex, taking our Comcast service with us. It worked fine when I put in place Sunday and worked a lot since then. But the Mini is in a new location on the block.

Any suggestions for what to do next?

If possible, please connect to the router with Ethernet and see if there is an improvement.

  • Address of MAC PS3 WRT160N filtering

Does anyone know how to configure the MAC address of the filtering for a PS3, or if the PS3 even recognize it?  I find the MAC address of the PS3, enter it in the MAC address allow column and try to connect.  Does not work.  Remove the address filter MAC and bingo at work.  I use WPA for the moment, and that's all.  Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated!  Thank you.

Once you remove the Mac address... it works fine... means the Mac address you are using is probably does not correct Mac address. Each device has its own Mac address...

Follow the steps to get the Mac address of the card for your PS3 wireless

. Turn on the PlayStation 3 without no disk in the drive.

2 once the operating system of the PlayStation 3 loaded, select "settings".

    3. Once you are in 'Settings', select 'network settings '.

    4. when the "Network settings" list, select the first option which is entitled "Settings and connection status list."

    5. the physical address of the wireless card is listed under "MAC address". Note this number... (it is Mac address).

Now the connection in your router configuration page and try this Mac address.
