Remove photos on the importation of the iPhone disappeared

After this last update of OS X El Capitan loading 10.11.6, the ability to delete Photos after importing my iPhone disappeared from the screen.  It imported, but left on the phone.  Now I have to remove it manually from my Camera Roll.

You can open the Image Capture and remove them at once instead of delete both on the iPhone.

Just connect your phone and Spotlight for the Capture of the Image search, then click on your iPhone.

Not sure why this option isn't for you. It appears on my computer and my wife.

  • Remove photos from the iphone after import

Hi, I'm new on this but I can't find an answer by reading the previous posts.

I always was able to import my photos and click the button "erase after importing" and my photos would be removed from my phone, but recently it tells me there is an error during this operation and the pictures are still on my phone using a lot of memory. Anyone know why this feature no longer works? I'm really not what although it is complicated with my pc, everything is usually automatically when I plug in my phone. Can someone give advice?

    Thank you

You have iCloud library enabled on the iPhone? (in settings > iCloud > Photos & camera)?

So you can't delete photos from the iPhone, because they are actually stored in iCloud and only in reverse on the iPhone.

Disable the iCloud photo library, if you want to download the pictures manually by USB.  But be sure, that optimize storage is disabled and all the pictures were downloaded again icloud before disabling iCloud photo library.

  • How to remove photos from the iPhone after import in Lightroom on Mac

I went back to Lightroom after opening was abandoned by Apple and I'm happy to be back. I can easily import photos from my iPhone 6 on my desk, but what to do with the pictures on my phone. With opening could easily automatically delete photos from the iPhone. I don't see anything similar in Lightroom. Do I have to remove my photos manually by selecting one at a time? I don't want to delete the folders that I created.

I'm not stored on the cloud or automatically sending my photos in Lightroom.

    Thank you

This function no longer exists in LR as Adobe says that it was originally people loose photos, accidentally I think, so it must be done manually. To be honest I never used no deletion automatic, I want to import and check all is well before any withdrawals!

  • How to remove photos from the iPhone SE

    July 2016

Computer: iMac running OSX 10.11.5 El Capitan

    Phone: iPhone SE

Buy the new iphone SE.  All properly transferred from old phone, via iCloud, but the new phone memory is almost full, and I need to remove about 300 photos.

I plugged the phone on my Mac with the USB cable.  The phone does NOT appear as a disk in the Finder, as said the seller of phone.

I was able to import all the photos to the Mac with picture Capture and preview, so the pictures are safe, but neither app shows a way to remove photos from the phone.

'Image Capture help' and several items of third say there are buttons on the bottom of the screen to Capture of Image for "show thumbnails in a list (list view button) or to see large thumbnails (thumbnail view button), or to turn (rotation) or delete (delete key) images."

    NOT TRUE.

The other buttons appear, but not the button 'delete '.

I used an extract for years, and it does not remove images.

So how to delete photos from my iPhone SE?  Do I have to look at all the pictures of 300 and delete each individually?

You can delete several photos at the same time on the iPhone.

  • How to remove Photos from the iPhone/iPad/iCloud and no pictures

How to take a photo with my iPhone/iPad, allow it to synchronize with Photos on my Mac via iCoud, then delete from my iPhone/iPad/iCloud and removes any Photos on Mac? I want to save the photo on your computer and save space on small devices?

I keep seeing articles on the iCloud market turn but it seems the photos all return on the devices once restarted. I want to iCloud on use as a conduit to get the photos to my computer, not as a large storage space. I want the Photos app on my Mac where all the photos are filled and stored and choose those which is left each device.

Right now they are all in the pictures on the Mac, but I'm worried if I remove it from my iPhone/iPad that they will disappear from Photos on the Mac. I don't understand the new Photos app with all the missing features of iPhoto.

    Thank you!

You can not that's not how works iCloud photo library - it is not a conduit but a total synchronization service whose entire raison d'etre is to keep libraries connected identical - all changes made on any device (addition, deletion or modification) are made on all devices. For devices with limited memory, using optimized photos

If this isn't what you want then use another service - USB import, iTunes sync, MyPhotoStream for example each do different things and everyone can move photos from one device to another

And Photos lack a lot of features iPhoto form - in fact much more features than iPhoto including iCloud library there like a bigger and better editing capability and better external editing capability and so on

  • How can I remove photos from the iPhone but save on iCloud/desktop mac?

I have an iPhone 6 and I'm constantly short of room because of my photos.  When I go to delete a picture from my pictures it says "this photo will be deleted from iCloud photo library on all your devices" and I have NO IDEA how to disable this dang thing.  So when I delete a photo that it clears too my computer then I constantly tries to free up space on my phone in other respects.

I wish I could take a picture, saved it on my computer and iCloud and then remove it from my phone without losing.  Any ideas?  Thank you!

You can go to settings > Photos & camera on your phone and do the following:

    1. turn off iCloud photo library

2 turn on my photo stream

Then on your Mac, you can open pictures and under preferences, perform the following steps:

    1. on the general tab, make sure that "Copy items to the photo library" is checked

    2. by virtue of iCloud, make sure 'My Photo Stream' is checked (you can also have shared Photo also controlled flow)

This should cause all photos of photo stream to be shared between devices as well as to import into your photo library.

  • When can I remove photos from the iPhone by making sure they are saved in the cloud?

When I can I free up space on my iPhone 6, deletion of photos/videos, ensure that they are saved in the cloud?
When I buy more space on the cloud, it is to iCloud, iCloud Drive, iCloud photo library?
    Too confusing...

iCloud is a synchronization service, not off of storage of the unit. That means that it is not designed to "free space" on your phone by moving your photos and videos to iCloud. All photos will remain synchronized between your phone and iCloud.

You can select the feature to OPTIMIZE, significantly reduce the space that take your photos on your phone.

When you upgrade your iCloud space, it's for all features in iCloud, as backup space, iCloud disk space and so on.

If you really want the maximum space on your phone, you can import your pictures and videos on a PC and then delete them from your phone. It does use icloud photo library.

  • How to remove photos from the iPhone but on mac?

I am very new to my Macbook and just trying to learn the ins and outs. I've had an iPhone for a few years now and especially had a Macbook because I love my iPhone and needed a new computer.  My problem is, I'm willing to delete the photos on my iPhone to clear up some space, but keep them on my Macbook. Whenever I have delete a my phone is off, it removes off my macbook too.

Whenever I have delete a my phone is off, it removes off my macbook too.

You have iCloud library enabled, as well on your iPhone and your Mac? Then you sync the library on your Mac and your iPhone in iCloud. all photos are stored in iCloud, make you adjustments will synchronize to iCloud, and then the changes will be synchronized to all devices, so your photo library will look exactly the same on all devices.

Do not delete any photo you want on any of your devices, if you use iCloud photo library.  To win the storage on your iPhone select "optimize storage. Then the photos on your iPhone will be reduced in the size of the file, but you need an internet connection if you want to see the full versions.

If you want less photos on your iPhone to your Mac, do not use iCloud photo library.  Select only 'My Photo Stream' transfer photos from your iPhone to your Mac or use a USB connection. My photo stream is more economic, in any case, because it's free. iCloud library uses the iCloud paid storage and only 5 GB are free. If your photos need more storage, you will need a paid subscription.

See these support pages: iCloud Photo library FAQ

and: iCloud: get help using my photo stream

If you want to turn off iCloud photo library, be sure to disable 'optimize storage"before do you. Wait for the full versions to download again to iCloud.

  • Import all THE Photos of the iPhone

    Hello

I am trying to import all the photos currently on my iPhone 6.  The unit is showing that it is about 18 000 photos on the phone (under the settings-> general-> has comments).  However, when I connect the phone to my MacBook Pro and throw iPhotos, ImageCapture - or even Adobe Lightroom - I gives me only the opportunity to import the last 4 500 images!

How can I import ALL the pictures on the device?

    Thank you

    B.

What are the parameters for iCloud > Photos on your iPhone?  Is iCloud library enabed storage "optimize"?

Then, your photos are actually in iCloud and not all photos can be imported from your iPhone.

If iCloud library is not enabled, the photos on your iPhone could have been synced to the iPhone via iTunes.  Photos you sync with iTunes on your iPhone are not in the film and you can not download using a USB connection.

  • Mediathek photo: A way to keep the Photos on Photos.app when you want to remove them on the iPhone?

I understand the concept of the Mediathek Photo.

The goal is to keep the Photos on different places for example iPhone, iCloud and synchronized Macbook.

    Automatically.

Because the volume of data on my iPhone is not very large, sometimes I have to delete the photos.

Is it possible to prevent these pictures from beeing deleted on the Macbook?

Or do I have to completely give up the automatic transfer of photos only?

In my mind, I think of a kind of function of archive for Photos.app.

A flag that prevents pictures archived the synchronization beeing part.

Can you give me an opinion please?

    Thank you.

Because the volume of data on my iPhone is not very large, sometimes I have to delete the photos.

Photo library of iCloud will synchronize the full library of Photos.   If you remove a photo from the library on a device, it will be removed from all libraries in snced on other devices.

One way to synchronize on a selective basis would be to have more than one library of Photos on the MacBook. A library of synchronization iCloud Wavec with only the photos you want on your iPhone.  And a library with other photos that you don't want in iCloud.  See this help page on the use of several libraries: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.0/?lang=en#/pht6d60b524

Another approach would be to use "Optimize storage" on the iPhone.  Then the photos will be optimized smaller photos on the iPhone store and more pictures will be fit.

Photos on the iPhone are not accessible via the Finder. You can use Photos or Image Capture to import pictures from camera.
