Remove stats on ipod nano vs nike

If I delete my stats running to my Ipod nano, be they lost on the web site Nike + after the next synchronization?

No. I already did a restore on my iPod nano, which removes all the drive of the device data.  It is still there on the website.

  • Is there a white protective layer on the screen of the iPod Nano, which should be removed?

My iPod Nano (16 GB) I received for Christmas last fact not have a white around the screen, but the new one framework that I bought for my wife fact.  At first, I thought it was just another layer of protection, but then I wasn't sure.  -What is that supposed to be left intact?  In addition, on the bottom, there a white band.  Same question: should be removed or left in place?  As much as I love my Apple, I find it embarrassing that there is no explicit statement for the first time Apple users who don't know not all the features bit of Apple products.

The area around the screen is a different color, depending on the 'main' color of your iPod nano.  Go to the web page of the "purchase" of Apple for the iPod nano

Where is said to choose a color, click on the options.  All current options have white around the screen, with the exception of the grey space, which is black around the screen.  There is no protective layer, so please do not try to remove it!

  • My iPod nano 2nd generation gets disk errors after installing iTunes?

I use my iPod nano 2nd generation for... Wow little almost 10 years now and of course is not as sensitive, a little laggy sometimes, battery life isn't as good but still never had real problems with it that can be repaired by a reset. Well not until now and I have not really money to spend to get a new, in particular the fact that practically it still works fine on his own, just that I can not add or remove pieces of her more.

    The problem

It seems that the computer has trouble reading the device. Whenever I plug my iPod nano 2nd generation USB in my laptop (Windows 10), which has some sort of interaction with it freezes. For the moment I plug in, programs such as Winamp, iTunes, File Explorer (if I click my computer-> try to right click on the drive, that says all F: drive instead of the usual name recognized as "My iPod."), the Device Manager when I try to turn Apple iPod USB Driver and the small icon in the system tray when you try to eject the drop-down list no longer appears, all these programs themselves just freeze and unresponsive until I unplug the device. In Event Viewer, the moment where I plug it, it gets spammed by looping errors to:

Error: The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR21, has a bad block.

ATTENTION: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR21 during a paging operation.

So, basically, it seems that the computer is blocked just not try to read and recognize the device, which means that I can't really do anything with it. The iPod itself seems to work fine, I can hear songs, recharge the battery and other things, earlier I can't add or remove pieces of her.

    Stuff leading up to it

A year or two before, I used to manage the ipod via itunes (a relatively old version of time too I guess since I almost never update) until I formatted my laptop some time ago and never bored computer reinstall itunes. Since then, I really didn't need to change anything to my iPod and just use Winamp (my default music player) to the add/remove songs when I needed to. Today, I decided to install iTunes because there are some things that winamp cannot do as add embedded lyrics and also winamp blurs the sorted list of the song. Since then, after you have installed the new iTunes, start freezing and program I get the problems described above. There might be a chance that iTunes was not the real culprit and the disc was already beginning to get corrupted or something somehow, but I can't think of anything that's happened before this problem started.

    I tried many things

    • Uninstalled iTunes and all the other stuff related to the installation as pie, Apple Mobile Device Support... .etc
    • Reinstall the device driver USB Apple iPod. When I turn it off (Plug in iPod-> iPod poster 'do not disconnect'-->--> Device Manager driver right click-> disable-> Device Manager freezes up-> unplug ipod-> Device Manager-> thaws plug ipod in) ipod becomes simply the State of charge. Steps to reinstall is the same (need to plug and unplug).
    • Reset iPod in now the Center button + menu button.
    • Will then resetting operation rewind + Centre button iPod diagnostic mode. It is not a test disc hard because I guess nano doesn't have a disc hard just flash ram. Anyway, when I select SDRAM QScan he only says: "SDRAM OK." NAND_SPEC gives "NandLBA = 1982464". Flash gives Checksum "Checksum is 0x26AF".
    • Wanted to try as described here to check for disk errors, but cannot because the computer cannot correctly recognize and explore freezes if I right click. I tried using 'chkdsk f:' in the command prompt, but that seems to hang as well.
    • Switches mode disc reset ipod then now Center + play button. Then connect the laptop... etc, same problem.

It's a pretty old device, so it seems that support because it is very rare. I didn't install iTunes could screw up the device that it is intended to support and do anything as permanent as this one.

You must exclude a faulty USB, cable anchorage, try another, or using your power with another Apple device cable, to confirm that it works correctly.

Otherwise, your troubleshooting seems complete.  If that's what you've done for disc Mode

How to put your iPod in disc - Apple Support mode

and connection to your computer causes this issue General 'freeze' with multiple processes, the iPod has possibly a hardware problem.  Flash storage eventually.  Or it can be a problem on the logic board of the iPod.

I suggest try to reformat the iPod using Windows, as if it were a USB flash drive.  But you can only do if the system hangs when you connect iPod.

NOTE: If you find a way to reformat iPod using Windows, use FAT32 as the disc format.  If there is an option to do a quick format, do a full format instead.  Once the process is complete, the iPod is totally blank.  You do restore using iTunes (if you are prompted or not), to the embedded iPod software.

  • iPod nano not recognized

    Hi people,

Here's my problem. I have two iPod nanos. One is a 8 GB, 4 years old, one is a 16 GB, age of two weeks. I was their sync to my new laptop aged from 1 month (running windows 10). Now, when I Plug one of them in, itunes says it can detect an ipod, but cannot therefore no synchronization ID. I do not see it is the iPod because it just started to happen with both at the same time. Any ideas? I already followed the advice found here If iTunes does not your iPad, iPhone or iPod - Apple Support and which did not help either. I have the computer to run a pilot if at least ipods load, but that's all I got to this point.

    Thank you!

iPods will charge from any USB port powered, even if iTunes is not installed on the computer.  They charge also of a power adapter USB (like the type that comes with the iPhone or any other device), no computer at all.

This Apple support document (the one you linked to) is quite comprehensive.  If you already went through these basic troubleshooting steps and technical, the other thing to try is to completely remove iTunes (and related software components) and reinstall the latest version.  Curiously, the Apple has a document for this procedure, but recently deleted 'Windows 10' from its description.  But you can find this document here

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 - Apple Support

and also do an Internet search for stories of (non-Apple) on this subject.  The key point is to remove all the components of iTunes (not just "iTunes") and do it in the exact order shown.  After removing the existing installation of iTunes, download and install the latest version from here

  • How to remove pieces of my Nano 6th generation?

I spent several hours of frustration tonight trying to solve the situation I am with my camera.

I want to delete songs from my iPod Nano 6th generation to make room for other songs in my library.  And, unfortunately, I have not read a single post, so far, that has helped to solve my problem.  If anyone can help after reading the information I provided below, I'll be most grateful.  Be specific if you provide specific to follow steps.

    Relevant information (see image below):

    • I have the latest version of iTunes installed on my laptop (12.4.3.1, 32-bit).
    • In preferences, I chose the option that prevents the automatic synchronization.
    • When I select the Nano connected in "Devices", no summary tab displays. I can't find this tab anywhere in the table of edge poster or under any section of the main toolbar on the top and left side of the page.
    • When I select 'Music' in the devices menu and select "Edit Playlist" in the center of the window of 'Music', I can't delete the control of all the listed songs.
    • In the right window which displays the songs on my Nano, I am unable to highlight and delete any song to this list.

    Thank you!

    Andi

There are several different issues here; rather than write a long response, I'll respond to a few key points that can be confusing...

When I select the Nano connected in "Devices", no summary tab displays.

In current iTunes, the screens of the iPod (including the abstract) settings are accessible by clicking on button iPod.  The screenshot below shows the left upper corner of the window of my iTunes, with the camera button circled in red.  (I see in your screenshot).

Click this button to display the settings for the abstract of the iPod.  The other configuration screens (for example, with regard to the timing of the music ) are accessible from the sidebar along the left side of the window (under the name and the tiny image of the iPod).  Thus, instead of the former "tabs" go anywhere at the top of the window, use this sidebar.

Is the iPod puts to manually manage music (check box) in the settings summary form?  If this is the case, you should be able to select the song (or songs) on the list of songs from iPod, then press the delete key to remove the iPod.  In the sidebar of the iPod as on my device, click on music, to see the current list of the songs on the iPod.  (You can also use the list of songs that you have demonstrated in your capture screen).

If this list is grayed out, the iPod is probably configured to use automatic synchronization (so you can't manually delete the songs).    In the sidebar of the iPod, under settings, click on music, to display the parameters of music from iPod.  If Sync music checked it, the iPod is currently set to use automatic synchronization.

Please post back with all of the remaining issues.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

According to your post, I see that your new iPod nano is not recognized by iTunes on your Windows PC, and you cannot scroll through the settings of the clock on your iPod. • love note deleted when synchronize iPod Nano

    Hello

whenever a sync my iPod Nano 7th generation with iTunes (1.0.4) (12.4), it removes the 'close' of the song already synchronized. Anyone know how to avoid this problem? I changed my method of the stars in the heart... but now I refuse this idea. Also I just don't understand why Apple didn't release a firmware to manage this feature on the iPod Nano?

I made many assists in selecting new song using iTunes and then sync them with the iPod with the same result... once I sync again, it removes the heart in iTunes.

    Thank you!

This happens with my 80 GB Classic, too. It seems to happen randomly; I erased my "loveds' the first time it sync (it has been at least 3 weeks since the last time), but not on subsequent tries... until an unknown amount of time goes.

  • How can I erase all the files on my iPod Nano (6th generation) and start over?

I can sync is more manually all the files that I need on my iPod Nano (6th generation) to my Macbook (OS 10.6.8) because it is full.  Instead of delete folders and songs about the Nano, which would take forever, I'd rather delete it all and start by cleaning up the folder that I keep in my iTunes library (11.4), then by loading all on the Nano.

    How do I:

    (1) delete all music from the Nano?

    (2) see how many in the iPod folder in my iTunes library Macbook so I know what to remove?

I know this must be a simple process, but it's been a long time I did!  Thanks for any help out there.

When your iPod is connected to your MacBook, open iTunes, click on your iPod in the sidebar and in the 'Summary' tab, click 'Restore iPod.'

If you don't see the sidebar in iTunes, go to the view menu in the menu bar, and then click see the sidebar.

  • iPod nano detected but not recognized, why?

My wife has an ipod Nano 7 G. We have 10 Windows and iTunes 12.3.3.17. It worked fine for months. But today it has plugged his ipod, and he wiped all the music on the ipod, suffice it to say that she is not happy. She then unplugged, plugged in, and now she is ' ipod detected, but is not recognized.

I uninstalled / reinstalled iTunes. I followed the process to update the driver. But it still does not work. What else can I do to make it work again. In its current form the ipod (just a few months) is essentially useless.

If you have already tried to uninstall iTunes, you are probably not completely remove iTunes and software components.  This Apple document lists the components of the installation of iTunes and the precise order to uninstall

  • iPod Nano 5 G vs 7G

I am looking to buy an iPod Nano. I heard that the click wheel on the 5G breaks, I don't want to deal with fingerprints. Which device is more user-friendly and accessible, because for me, the G-7 resembles a small iPod Touch without internet.

I used a nano gen 5 years and use it exclusively for my race (with the Nike + Bluetooth receiver to iPod and motion sensor on the shoe).  I use a case and hold it in my hand when running.  I took a few falls and dropped my nano several times.  So it has a few scratches.  Always works 100%.  According to my experience, it is solid.  I don't know that there are some owners with broken wheel.  When tens of millions of what whatsoever are sold, ALL possible types of problem will be produced for the global customer base.  This does not mean that any particular problem is likely to occur to any individual customer.  Since you don't touch the screen to use a 5th gen nano, there is no problem with the fingerprints.  A user of long date iPod, I like the interface of the wheel.

The 5th gen nano becomes an iPod 'old' at this stage.  Old things tend to start to break down.  If the iPod has been heavily used, its battery is likely to be carried out (or how to get there).  If the iPod wasn't used a lot and sat in a drawer, which can be even worse for a lithium battery.  The nano gen 5 has a battery that is soldered to the logic board, is not easy to replace, without good soldering skills and enjoy disassembling miniature electronics.

A unique feature of 5th generation iPod nano: it has a video camera (to take videos not photos), as well as a built-in microphone and tiny speaker.

The 7th gen nano is the current model.  It is brand new with a warranty of one year.  Users who have never used an iPod scroll wheel can be more usable.  It has a touch interface; you deal with fingerprints.  It uses the connector of the lightning, which is the current standard for Apple peripheral of mooring.  No accessory Nike + necessary to track running.

A unique feature of 7th generation iPod nano: it has built-in Bluetooth.

  • I was using my 1st generation ipod nano

I was creating a new playlist using my ipod nano (2 gb) when all of a sudden all the music that he dissappeared. ITunes has no music because it is a new installation of itunes 12. How can I get music back? If I can?

A new installation of iTunes must not remove the music library unless the facility has been applied incorrectly. There is no way to recover the music of the Nano.

  • Cannot transfer music from iTunes to the iPod nano.

I can't transfer music from iTunes to my iPod. My laptop has Windows XP and my iPod nano is 6 years old. (I do not know what generation it is). the instructions say to click on "sources" to choose the IPod, but I can't find this option in iTunes.

The latest version of iTunes can be different, so former instructions can be confusing.

There are several ways to load songs on an iPod, including the auto sync and manual loading.  I will describe the method that automatically synchronizes the iPod to a playlist in your iTunes library.  First, you must create a new playlist in your iTunes library and add all the songs you want on the iPod playlist.  You can call iPod songs playlists (or whatever you want).  If you already have a "Favorites" playlist, you can use it.

Then, select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings. Click on music.  Right, parameters of music on the iPod screen.

NOTE: All the songs on the iPod that are not on your iTunes library (on the computer) will be lost.

At the top, check the box to Sync music.  This enables automatic synchronization.  Below, choose the option to synchronize playlists selected, artists, album and genres.  Below, under playlists, search for and select (checkmark) playlists iPod songs you create earlier.  You can select the other items in these lists, if you wish.  When you click apply, iTunes syncs your selection to iPod.

Go ahead, update of the songs on the iPod, update iPod songs playlist in your iTunes (add/remove songs).  The iPod has no need to be connected.  The next time that you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected), iTunes automatically updated the iPod with the same changes.  I use this method with my iPod nano, unless I have several playlists (not one) that I sync with my iPod.
