remove the inserts a key.

Whenever I have something to remove and replace, one. (period) is inserted into this space. If I delete several things, I get several periods. Removal of the period gives me another period. It is on the two Microsoft Word and the internet messaging program.

Hi Historywriter,

1. don't you make changes before the show?
2. who is the mail program?
3. the problem persists with the two keys to remove the keyboard?

Please note that there are only two DELETE on the keyboard. The functionality of these buttons varies a bit. Use the various delete key and check the result.

  • Satellite A210-171: how to remove the card safely is not compatible

    Hi all

I have an Equium A210 I bought recently. I had what I thought was the correct card from my digital camera and placed it in the slot of the player card on the front of the laptop. The map is too small for the slot and now has to stay out of my reach inside my laptop. Any ideas on how I can pull this off my laptop without having to pay the cost of repairs.

Can I open up the laptop and he retire or is the reader of card memory one molded unit that I can't access.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you very much

    Andy

First of all I'm really putting t understand those who insert all compatible cards is NOT in the slot and don't check the properties of the slot.
You may damage the slot using a card is not compatible!

Why didn t consult the manual of the user who is always pre-installed on your laptop?
There are details on compatible cards.

However, I really put t know if you will be able to remove the inserted card, but perhaps you could use a tiny pair of tweezers

Notes; do not open Notepad. This would negate the warranty. The best solution is to ask the technician to mobile to help...

  • HP Envy 15 k046nd: Envy 15 k046nd how to remove the keyboard (shift of collage and key)

    Hi all

    Short version:

Does anyone know how to remove a single key on the keyboard without breaking? (or if it is still possible) I tried some things, but have failed.

    Long version:

Unfortunately, I spilled lemonade on my keyboard last week. I cleaned it all that quickly, and nothing is technically wrong. But after 2 days some keys on my keyboard started to stick very bad, especially the entrance and the shift key. They still work, but it's very annoying. I have tried lifting below them and cleaning, but that has not worked, and I also can't get down them. I looked for a way to replace the keyboard, but I have to essentially take the computer laptop all apart + it's expensive. I hope someone can tell me how to down the different keys without breaking!

    Thank you

    Leon

    Hi there @leonsmits,

Welcome to the HP support community! I read your post and wanted to tender hand can help you! I read that you want to remove the keys of the keyboard because they hold and you want to clean.

If a key is physically stuck in the down position, you should not replace your laptop. Many keyboards have keys that can be removed by inserting a knife to butter under one edge of the button and gently lifting upward on the upper and lower edge. Please NOTE: To avoid damaging the cushion under the key, insert the knife to butter only 1/8 of an inch under the edge of the key

After having removed the key, using a buffer with alcohol, clean the underside of the key and the key on the keyboard slot. Put the key in the snapping it back in place.

Here is a document for you called portable keyboard troubleshooting. There is a section in this document, called a laptop key stuck. This section will help you to guide you how to clean these keys.

If the keyboard doesn't have keys that can be removed, you may need to replace the keyboard or laptop service.

Open your desktop folder in the Finder, then type 'image' in the search field in the Finder window toolbar and value of the research for "kind: Image".

Define the scope of the search for "Desktop".

Now, you can select all items in the window by entering ⌘A, then drag the photos in your Inbox.

  • How to remove the upper part of a key on a Satellite C870-C196?

    Hello

I would like to know if it is possible to remove the upper part of a key on a TOSHIBA Satellite C870 C196 to clean underneath?

I have a button that does not work properly.

How to go without anything break?

Is there a specific tutorial for this projection keyboard how?

    Thanks to you all.

    Kind regards

Tutorial so that it does not exist, but I can say, is that you can remove the plastic cap. It may be problematic to implement.
On older machines, it was quite easy, but on the new laptops equipped with flat keys, it is not so easy. As far as I know that each CAP is fixed with 4 pretty small hat holders must be fixed properly. to put all the 4 instead is not so easy.

I don't know what to say. You can try it, but on the other hand, I don't want to encourage that because you can damage something and in the end, you need to replace the entire keyboard.

If there is a serious problem, you can request the service of Toshiba for advice and ask for help.

Have recently acquired a used DC7600sff and I installed an operating system, I find editing F10 helmed by a request for a password/key entry. As I have no way to find the original person who put in place I cannot access F10. How delete/remove theF10 setup password I want to upgrade the Bios and firmware?

    Hello:

It is very easy to do.

Turn off and unplug the PC.

Press the power button to drain any residual power.

    Open the case.

Looking for a little rider of green color. I think that your model, you will find in the vicinity of the SATA data port.

    Remove the jumper to pins.

Put it somewhere safe, or just hold it in your hand.

Plug the PC back in and turn on without the rider.

The password must now be provisioned.

Shut down the PC, unplug the unit, press the power button to drain any residual power and replace the Green rider where you removed it.

    Put everything back together.

    Fact.

  • Plastic broke by removing the keys

    Hello

I want to clean my laptop under the keyboard, I removed the keys.
But when I did it with the escape key, the thing that holds the key.
    Without any force!

Can I get this things between the keyboard and the key anywhere?

    Greetings
    Matze92

That is the question for the Toshiba authorized service partner. They can give you an adequate response to your question. To be honest, I don't think you can get these two small plastic parts separately.

Maybe you can try to get old, already used keyboard for your laptop model and use this small plastic parts. I already removed it. These two parts are small, but if you have enough patience and do this slowly, you can fix it yourself.

  • Satellite A210 - 11 p point of freezing by using the FN + F5 key - how to remove the VAP

    Hello

I had a problem with my A210 - 11 p gel when I use the f5 function key to switch between the LCD and the tv.
I read other posts and people talk about updating the value Pack.

I downloaded it but it tells me to uninstall the old version by using Add or remove from the control panel.
But the added value pack is not listed here. I thought that I would try to remove the utility Flash Cards, but that did not help and I had to install the 64-bit driver to get them back because once they have been removed I couldn't use the function keys!

Flash cards are back so the 64-bit driver seems to work, but I think I have a 32-bit of Windows Vista.

The other reason that I was updating the value Pack is that when I go to the TV and LCD, flash cards are not displayed and I have to use the f5 function and it is when the computer crashes.

So, how can I uninstall the old VAP?
    Where he's hiding?

    Someone eles suffer this?

And how do I know if I use 32-bit or 64?
Sorry for the string of questions

    Thank you

    Mickey

    Hello

    Perhaps I should clarify that;

First and foremost your laptop must belong to the PSAELE series.
If you are not sure, check the bottom of the unit.

The VAP may be withdrawn from Vista in Control Panel-> programs & features

On my laptop A210 the PPV could be found at the end of the list of installed programs.
I could easily remove it. But note that I used the Vista 32 bit.

The VAP for _Vista 64bit_ is not available!
On the European disc of Toshiba, you will only find programs simple but * not full * VAP package!

I think it's the reasons why you don t see the PPV and cannot be removed.

  • Satellite C850 - remove the functionality of the FN keys

    Hello

I have a laptop C850 who has defined as default for some operations, function keys like brightness, sound, enable and disable the touchpad with the * F1 *-* F12 * keys accessible together with the * key to FN.

I can understand why this has been done because the majority of people use no * F1 *-* F12 *.
I do however as a developer.

It's annoying to need to support on * FN * + * F5 * to reload a Web page for example, when I was using just * F5 * during the past 15 years or so, especially as * F5 * on its own turns off the touchpad, or who need to support on * FN * + * Alt * + * F4 * to kill an application instead of just * Alt * + * F4 *.

Is it possible to remove the feature "extended" of these keys and return to the standard * F1 *-* F12 *?

I can unsintall an application or a service that deals with this, or perhaps there is a setting somewhere (I had a quick glance, but can't find it).

    I appreciate there are other solutions, for example * Ctrl * + * R * to reload instead of * F5 *, but that's not what I'm looking for.

    Thanks in advance.

Toshiba has developed maps flash utility to facilitate the use of some basic stuff. It works with the FN key combination. If you n key press FN t, you can use a standard feature of Fkeys.

When you want to reload the page, you can press F5 only and don touch need FN t at all so I put t understand why don't you write all the time on the FN keys combination.
    >... I have been using just F5 during the last 15 years or so, especially if like F5 on its own turns off the touchpad, or needing to press FNAltF4 to kill an application rather than simply AltF4.
It is not truth. You can just press ALT + F4 and you can close some applications. FN, you must use when you only use additional options (specific Toshiba). It is clearly described in the document s user manuals.

If you n t as you can remove the utility Flash cards. It is a part of the VAP (value added package).

  • Insert/remove the sim card

    Hello guys,.

I was wondering if it's ok to insert or remove the micro sim card when the phone is turned on, or when it is off but load?

It will damage the phone or is it OK to do?

    Thank you

    Hello

If the phone is off you can insert and remove the micro sim card card whenever you want.

There should be no promlem it when the phone is turned on either. I made it myself with different phones and watched others making and have found no problems so far. Although I noticed that in this case, it was more difficult for the phone sometimes to connect to the carrier and I had to do it manually.

Anyway, you better refer to the manual of your phone and check if she says nothing about it.
