Remove the port from the channel-group

I met a strange problem with port aggregation, where I decided to remove a port of a port channel and put it in another, but in my SNMP tool, it still belongs to the old channel of port and the new at the same time.

Port channel was created using:

(config) #interface gigabitEthernet 0/1/22

(config-if) trunk mode #switchport

(config-if) active in mode #channel-group 1

Then passes through

(config) #interface gigabitEthernet 0/1/22

(config-if) #no active mode channel-group 1
(config-if) active in mode #channel-group 2

I have also that when I pull up some information on configuring etherchannel.

#show interfaces gigabitEthernet 0/1/22 etherchannel

This could be a problem with my (observium) snmp tool or are there additional measures to eliminate a port of a group of channels? Reboot of the switch?

Hello

I would say that it is related to the snmp tool, once you remove the port of the chain earlier and added to the new, which will be to the one, it is impossible that an interface will be less than 2 different port channels.

Also there is no need to restart the switch or something like that, you can use the following commands to verify that the interface is now part of the new channel group:

Show etherchannel summary

Show interface execution item in gi1/0/22

With these commands, you will see that the interface belongs to the Group channel 2, and the order that you set above shows that the interface belongs to po2.

Hope this helps

    Hello

You cannot remove a computer from a working group, but you can change the name of the working group.

But that will not necessarily mean that they are not accessible by other computers on the network, or it will necessarily make the other less likely to be infected through this PC computers.

The only way to "withdrawal" of a computer on a network is to unplug the network cable or remove the name of the wireless network.

If you are concerned about a possible infection, you must get the malware to day and scan for malware protection.

  • Series quick reading of the channel group properties

Hi, can someone please advice what is the fastest way to extract about 400,000 files channel group properties? Currently I use DataFileLoadRed with only the Group of channels that interests me and channels stripped down to a single value by setting the no. intervals of 1 and SectionBegin / end of 1/2. Suggestions for improvements? PHEX

An alternative would be to open all files with the following code.

    Option Explicit

dim groupindex : groupIndex = 1 ' you can also use a groupname instead
dim groupProperty : groupProperty = "description"

' include this in a loop over all your files
    dim filePath : filePath = "C:\temp\example.tdm"
    dim store : set store = navigator.ConnectDataStoreByParameter("TDM", ""& replace(filePath, "&", "&") & "")
    dim propVal : propVal = store.RootElements(1).Children(groupindex).Properties(groupProperty).Value
    MsgBox propVal

The files are open and your properties are extracted. Potentailly datafinder approach should be more fast but if you don't get that market this may be a way out.

  • compare files with the same structure of channel / rename channel(-groups)

    Hello

I have several groups ch with many channels in the file of each measure.

Now, I need to display/compare Channels 2 or more files of measures in a chart. (channel 'speed1' to the file 'measurement1' vs 'speed1' to the file 'GCA2' channel)

So I import 2 files in the browser und have the same structure of string twice. To distinguish between the channels of the two files I want to rename the channels by script and add the file name of the channel-group name.

Is this a common way to compare measurement data in files with the same channel names and structures?

In the affirmative. How can I make a script?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Ski

    Hi Ski-Fahrer,

each channel has a name of the institution.

Data.Root.ChannelGroups ("Name" or Index). Channels (Index or "Name"). Name

You can assign a new name like this:... Name = "NouvNom".

I don't think it is necessary to rename the channels. If you do not forget the files. If you want to rename something I only rename the ChannelGroups by adding a date or a serial number.

  • How can I remove the homegroup to my desktop icon?

How can I remove the homegroup icon that suddenly appeared on my desktop Windows 8

I know and respect the fact that Sharief K is a Microsoft Support Engineer. but he doesn't know what he's talking about as a Microsoft Support engineer or he didn't understand the question.

However, here's how to solve the problem in the right way...

Question about this community newsletter is:

(Windows 8) How can I remove the 'host group icon"from the desktop?

    Answer:

1 right-click somewhere on the desktop that is free of icon/s with the left button of the mouse.
Select "Customize" in the context menu, which will take you to the selection of window customize.

    2. Select "Change desktop icons" in the area of the hand at the top left of this window.  A "Change desktop icons" dialog (context menu) is displayed.

    3. Note the box on the left of the 'network' is checked.  Uncheck the box and then left click of the mouse will apply.

    4. at this point, the 'host group icon"will be removed from the desktop.  Now again check the box to the left of the 'Network' and then the mouse left click apply.

And your all set.  That is of course until what you restart your computer, in which case this problem will happen again.  Gives one does not want to restart its system ever if you have Windows 8.

On a more personal note, I am A +, Network +, MCP and a Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering technology and experienced Microsoft since 1992 when I always still served in the U.S. Army.  Sorry, but I am appalled and disgusted with the OS of Windows 8 not to mention Microsoft Office.

  • Remove a person from the home group

We had a friend staying with us. His laptop computer had Windows 7 and my husband too.  My office was an XP.  Computer for office has been replaced and now I have W7. I see this friend appeared in the homegroup.  A friend is no longer here, and I'm trying to put the computer of my husband and me in the homegroup, but can't.  How can I delete or remove a friend from home group?

    Hello

    1. How do you try to remove the person from the homegroup?

    2. what happens when you try to configure a homegroup?

    3. what version of Windows 7 you are using?

What version of the operating system Windows am I running?
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/which-version-of-the-Windows-operating-system-am-i-running

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: first of all, remove the homegroup, follow this link. Homegroup: frequently asked questions
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/HomeGroup-frequently-asked-questions

Method 2: You can run the troubleshooter in homegroup of the link and check.

    HomeGroup troubleshooter:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-HomeGroup-Troubleshooter

Method 3: Temporarily disable antivirus software and then try to configure the homegroup.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Remove the ' system VLAN "Nexus 1000V port-profile

We have a Dell M1000e blade chassis with a number of Server Blade M605 ESXi 5.0 using the Nexus 1000V for networking.  We use 10 G Ethernet fabric B and C, for a total of 4 10 cards per server.  We do not use the NIC 1 G on A fabric.  We currently use a NIC of B and C fabrics for the traffic of the virtual machine and the other card NETWORK in each fabric for traffic management/vMotion/iSCSI VM.  We currently use iSCSI EqualLogic PS6010 arrays and have two configuration of port-groups with iSCSI connections (a physical NIC vmnic3 and a vmnic5 of NIC physical).

We have added a unified EMC VNX 5300 table at our facility and we have configured three VLANs extra on our network - two for iSCSI and other for NFS configuration.  We've added added vEthernet port-profiles for the VLAN of new three, but when we added the new vmk # ports on some of the ESXi servers, they couldn't ping anything.   We got a deal of TAC with Cisco and it was determined that only a single port group with iSCSI connections can be bound to a physical uplink both.

We decided that we would temporarily add the VLAN again to the list of VLANS allowed on the ports of trunk of physical switch currently only used for the traffic of the VM. We need to delete the new VLAN port ethernet-profile current but facing a problem.

The Nexus 1000V current profile port that must be changed is:

The DenverMgmtSanUplinks type ethernet port profile

However, when we try to do, we get an error about the port-profile is currently in use:

By example, if we look at the port-channel 2 more in detail, we see orphans 3 VEM-related sound and it has no ports associated with it:

We can probably remove the port-channel 2, but assumed that the error message on the port-profile in use is cascading on the other channel ports.  We can delete the other port-channel 4,6,8,10 orphans and 12 as they are associated with the orphan VEM, but we expect wil then also get errors on the channels of port 13,15,17,19,21 and 23 who are associated with the MEC assets.

We are looking to see if there is an easy way to fix this on the MSM, or if we need to break one of the rising physical on each server, connect to a vSS or vDS and migrate all off us so the Nexus 1000V vmkernel ports can clean number VLAN.

You will not be able to remove the VLAN from the system until nothing by using this port-profile. We are very protective of any vlan that is designated on the system command line vlan.

You must clean the canals of old port and the old MEC. You can safely do 'no port-channel int' and "no vem" on devices which are no longer used.

What you can do is to create a new port to link rising profile with the settings you want. Then invert the interfaces in the new port-profile. It is generally easier to create a new one then to attempt to clean and the old port-profile with control panel vlan.

I would like to make the following steps.

Create a new port-profile with the settings you want to

Put the host in if possible maintenance mode

Pick a network of former N1Kv eth port-profile card

Add the network adapter in the new N1Kv eth port-profile

Pull on the second NIC on the old port-profile of eth

Add the second network card in the new port-profile

You will get some duplicated packages, error messages, but it should work.

The other option is to remove the N1Kv host and add it by using the new profile port eth.

Another option is to leave it. Unless it's really bother you no VMs will be able to use these ports-profile unless you create a port veth profile on this VLAN.

How to set the "next hop" to the value 0.0.0.0 and "metric" to 0?

    Best regards

    Jérôme

    Hello Berthier,

NEXT_HOP is a hill & attribute mandatory path including the eBGP value is the IP address of the BGP peer (specified in the neighbor's remote control) where the router learns the prefix. Thus, your peers (eBGP) will still see the IP 192.168.88.138 in your BGP Next Hop as updates. I agree you the output of the command ' sh ip bgp neighbors 192.168.88.138 roads announced "can be confusing, but not worried about it.

Metric 20 is cause of path must be acquired by OSPF. Copy in default atributte MED BGP metric. So I see that you have only a peer is very important change this value because MED is not transitive, if this value is not propagated by other ACE access your provider. Anyway, if you want to change, you must:

    1. create a list of prefixes with one or more prefixes that you want to "reset" the MED value:

list of prefixes prefix-to-reset-MED seq 5 permit 192.168.10.0/24

list of prefixes prefix-to-reset-MED seq 10 permit X.X.X

    2. create a roadmap

allowed to reset - MED card route 5

    match of prefix-to-reset-MED IP prefix-list

    the metric value 0

road map provided to zero-MED allowed 10

    !

The last road map is necessary to ensure that the rest of the prefixes are sent.

    3. apply the road map

    a neighbor EBGP-PEER-IPv4-roadmap given to zero-MED on
