  Click right icon - properties - general tab - Type of file - if it is a LNK then it's only a
  Shortcut and if you DELETE it then only it is removed and the underlying program is not
  affected. To see where the program check the tab shortcut - target:.

  I think that Christopher was referring to right click on the remove safely icon on the taskbar and choosing then to remove it safely.

  Otherwise, this may be a feature of the device driver and the device manufacturer may be able to tell how.

  Yes apparently once the item has an icon specified, you cannot "unspecify" it (lb.items [1] .icon = null; or lb.items [1] .icon = void (0); > error).

  You can remove all items and re-create them with the necessary icons, or none.

  I had this thread open for much of the day, entering in a response, but was distracted by other things.

  I'll try to be a little more explicit, and in this case, show you how to use tool eraser for work...

  1 screen grab your tools Photoshop Panel, then copy just the part that contains the dropper and maybe a little extra around it in the Clipboard.

  2. file - new, and then click Edit - Paste into Photoshop.
