  Just in case, back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox, but before that, you can clear the cache for a specific site in the subject: permissions page.

  Select Yahoo mail on this page and forget about the site. This will remove cookies and active connections for mail. Please, restart Firefox and reconnection to Yahoo mail.

  However I am having some real problems with my main email account that uses iCloud. I added in the next setting from several places, but most of these sites now says it no longer works. The settings I used is:

  • IMAP.mail.me.com, = SSL on, Port = 993
  • SMTP.mail.me.com, SSL = off, Port is 587
  • Outgoing server requires authentication = yes
  • Use the same username and password to send and receive e-mails = yes

To remove or delete an email account first close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the Mail Preview pane until it disappears from the display.
