Many videos won't play; they load but gives error on play

I recently made Firefox my default browser instead of Chrome, mainly just for variety and to keep abreast of things; no biggie. There are many video playback problems. I recently solved a big problem, where videos may play, but NOT in fullscreen to foxsports.com/foxsportsgo, by disabling hardware acceleration, as suggested in the title of the Firefox Help. Thank you. Yes, I have read almost ALL of Firefox in a box help suggestions about video playback problems, but I don't have a solution. I tried to do the master reset as suggested, but it was without result. I checked and I have the latest version of Flash Player plugin, 15.0.0.189. There is always activate. I have no problems with the videos play when using Chrome. I have lived a number of sites and video playback problems, but here I will focus on one: a video and it seems to have loaded Ok because it illustrates an image (a teaser, not the 1st frame); but when I click on play it says: "year error occurred, please try again later ' and there is a link «read more» Following this link, the next page says I should wait 30 minutes and then try reading again. This is a container of the slow cooker. An example of this problem, go to http://davidblaine.com/video/street-magic and click on one of the videos. They are all systematically fail for me with this singularly useless generic error message!

[Edit] I have just now noticed / realized that I am on the beta update channel, and just in case this helps these video problems, I uninstalled v34 and installed v33.0.3. But reading cited problem despite the version rescue.

The problem is it?
What is interesting is that it looks like your graphics driver is blocked. But hardware acceleration should disable this, have you tried to update? Update your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL

direct2DEnabledMessage: [u'blockedGfxCard'] I wonder if its the driver.

The example site you provided are mainly youtube embedded links, and help to try again in 30 minutes is perhaps due to the number of people viewing the video. Of course it works http://davidblaine.com/video/street-magic on my virtual machine.

But normally if I block flash the html5 player will play, is not the case for this example.

The other hypothesis is the codec supported: you have video openH264 coded by cisco systems listed in your plugins?

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=-e-BRki7gwU
Most of the videos works perfectly, so I can't say what the problem is.

I have tried so that the first thing, but it didn't work at all.
Anyway, I solved the problem in the meantime by uninstalling Firefox and put it back. Please note that I had to do a CLEAN install, and I mean by 'clean' that I had to remove the settings as well. First I tried to reinstall it but I kept the settings (Firefox will ask if you want to keep when you uninstall) and it did not work. I therefore saved bookmarks and uninstalled everything. The later resettlement has solved the problem.

videos won't play without continuous buffering?

    Hello markfisher,.

As well as the information provided by Vinod, you should also be aware that your internet connection speed will also affect how you receive your video. If your internet speed is 8 MB per second or less, chances are that the internet connection is the cause of the problem, especially, if like most of the ISP, you ISP limits the speed of the internet at certain times of the day. For example, the problem happen only between the hours of, let's say 18:00 and 21:30. If this is the case then the ISP is limiting the speed on your line.  The only option, if that is the case, is to upgrade your internet package at a higher speed, i.e. 30MBps.

  • Captivate 8 - video integration problems. Video won't play Web server when published under the title of HTML5. When to play the video it works not embedded.

Captivate 8 - video integration problems. Video won't play Web server when published under the title of course HTML5 and video is selected to play in the same screen. Play video it works only in a new window. The problem is the customer's requested integrated video and it shows as an option in Captivate 8. In addition, the video screen is not at the same place on the screen, the image moves to the top of the browser window in Internet Explorer. Graphics problems appear ONLY in IE and Chrome for PC. We have updated browsers, installed all updates to Captivate 8 etc.

The issue seems to be with internet explore. The url is *.mp4, if IE browser opens Media player in a new window to read the files.

    Workaround solution:

Instead of using the interaction of the Web object, you can use a Web object (objects-> Web) site in the menu object.

After insertion, select the code incorporated in the style of the real property section. (Screenshot below)

Encapsulate the url in an HTML video tag and use it as input.

    Input samples:

    https://{website-Address}/VIDEO1. MP4 type = "video/mp4" >

  • Adobe Flash 11.4 installed on pc, but does not appear in the list of modules additional plugin. flash or youtube videos won't play

    Hello
I've updated to the latest version of flash player 11.4.402.287 today, the two versions of activex or plugin appear in flash Manager. However, I'm unable to play youtube flash videos, the bar at the top shows "Install missing plugin" I repeated the installation process, it does not appear to complete successfully, but even once when trying to play youtube videos, the "install missing plugin appears" and the videos will not play.

I have also installed and re installed the last version of firefox today, thought that can help, seem to have the same problem. The flash player is not listed in the plugin adds on the list. I don't know what else to do, or what could be the problem.

I would appreciate any advice, please

Hello, I think that the download of the flash 11.4 for windows on the adobe site includes 32-bit versions and 64-bit plugin, for which I hope should not be the issue. can you try the troubleshooting tips that were offered in the following thread (step by step) and see if that can solve the problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/937543

  • Video won't play html published file when it is moved to the new Web site

    Cannot understand it.
I have a video file to stream my published Flash file.  Works fine at home.
All files are in one folder.  Transfer the file on a USB key to bring it to school and
When I load up on the Web site I get this spin green/black on the skin of the piece and
the video will not play.  I'll double check to see if I can play on my machine of the school
directly to the USB output and it does not work either (he did on my machine at home).
Any ideas on how I'm spoil?   Thank you

OK by what you say, I assume you are using the flash component. To the place where you have been searching for that modification of the file, the path to be compared to only have the name of the video instead of the path. I have attached a screenshot.

  • My youtube videos don't is not loading. "year error occurred, please try again later".

    Hello

    Recently, I asked a says:

"I click on a YouTube video, an error message shows on the screen saying:" year error occurred, please try again later. " «More» with a black background. I'm sure that all of you guys have experienced at least once. However, this phenomenon occurs whenever I click on a video. I deleted my cookies, updated my Adobe flash player, activated JavaScript and Firefox update. But they don't solve my problems. Help me please! »

Someone answered my question, saying I should turn off my adobe Accelerator, what I've done. However, youtube videos do not always load and the error message continues to flow upward. I am really frustrated. I've tried everything. Please help me.

Yes, I tried all of these steps as you told me last night. It didn't work last night, but it is somehow working today. Thank you. I will contact you again if something happens.

    Thank you!

  • Firefox will not play many videos, sounds and other Html5 applications but Youtube is fine.

No matter what are the options I change (I tried everything under subject: config), videos html5 play not (format not supported, etc wrong mime type.). On youtube, html5 player works fine.

    Examples of videos does not:

flow using the html5 and formats like gif player also like gifv to imgur.

My OS can all play, I installed Windows Media Player.

All my preferences in topic amovible.*: config have a default value, and I tried to change things - without success.

I also disabled all addons/plugins, tried another profile, tried the developer version of 64-bit. I had the same problem on my old computer (I did a clean install on a totally new computer and imported via MozBackUp settings). Firefox Safe mode will not help either.

http://detectmybrowser.com/ tells me that I can play ogg but not h264 or webm. https://www.YouTube.com/HTML5 told me that my firefox support everything that youtube needs.

Once again, on Youtube, everything works (right click on the clip not gives me the possibility "about the HTML5 player"), elsewhere (for as far as I saw) I get "not taken in charge or false mime type error format.

I use Firefox on Windows 10, but also known 40 the problem under Windows 7 and Firefox 3 x

In addition, my plugin-container crashes whenever I close Firefox, I tried to clear the cache/history/cookies. No idea if this is related to the question of the html5.

So, any ideas I can try to do html5 video finally work? It is very solutions use another browser every time for anything associated with Html5.

    Holy f * ing sh * t!

In fact, I managed to solve the problem!
    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=9N0OHdRFcJA

All I had to do was to start Firefox using administrator rights. So simple, yet I didn't on this subject! Why have I never tried this before? I managed to solve a lot of problems like this but never thought about Firefox could also be linked to it.

In any case, thanks to all who responded, as well as all those who had to read all my rants in this thread!

Solution: Launch your Firefox with administrator rights

  • Videos won't play on Daily Maily or Daily Mirror; they do on Chrome.

All used to do miracles before, but since the beginning of this year the only way I can watch videos on Dail Mail and the Daily Mirror is to copy the address of the article and the consultation on Chrome. I tried updating each of the plugins and Add ons necessary but in vain: they Vault on Chrome like a charm, but not on Firefox

Daily Mail seems to use Flash for video. Firefox shows the plugin notification icon in the address bar? It looks like a small block of Lego. If so, if you click on it, it shows that the Flash is enabled on the site? (Example screenshot attached.)

When you view a video, I get an advertising pre-roll advertising. Do advertising, or just nothing?

Could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any improvement?
